Met someone on MFP and got married!
Last Saturday I married the love of my life, who I met here on MFP almost 6 years ago. It was a fabulous day!

New group for engaged women in Canada
Hi all! I lost 85lbs using MFP but gained back 30lbs when I moved and got comfortable living with my boyfriend. Now that I’m engaged to him, I need to lose that 30lbs but also I’d like to have a group where Canadian women can get ideas, recommendations, and opinions on things (dresses, rings, invitations, etc.) as they…

Anyone meet their S/O on MFP?
My boyfriend and I met over 2 1/2 years ago here. I thought his profile pic was interesting so I read his profile and we had a lot in common. I FR'd him and we clicked instantly. We've been together ever since. <3 Last August I moved myself and my two daughters from NS to ON to be with him. :) Thank you MFP for letting me…

4 year fit anniversary
4 years ago on this day, August 12, I started my weight loss journey. I would never have believed my life would change as much as it has in these 4 years...I lost 85lbs, gained some friends, gained some much needed self-esteem & confidence, a new home, more family, and most of all...a new partner in life whom I love, adore…

As of June 1st I have lost 85lbs! Pretty close my goal of 125lbs (only 8 more to go), but I might change it when I get there. As usual, I did the "before pants" pic and during photos as well as my measurements. :) Neck- 14.8 to 12 (-2.8") Waist- 42 to 28.25 (-13.75") Hips- 47.5 to 34.5 (-13") BMI- 39.1 to 24.3 Body Fat-…

5'2" shorty loses 75lbs
On March 30th I reached the milestone of losing 75lbs. It's hard to believe I was that much overweight and still have about 15lbs to go. That's a lot of extra fat for anyone, let alone someone who is 5'2"! As always, I took progress pics and a picture of me in my Before Jeans. :) And here are my measurements as of today…

5'2" & lost 65lbs (so far)! (with pics)
It's been almost 17 months since I started this journey to a better me. I have learned so much, met some GREAT friends and have gained some much needed self esteem & confidence. Yesterday I reached 153lbs, making a loss of 65lbs so far. You never really realize HOW much you've changed until you wear old clothes or check…

What do you love now that you've lost weight?
I love that I can feel my bones now, especially my hips because there was so much fat in that area.

5'2" & lost 50lbs! (with pics)
A few days ago I reached -50lbs..my ultimate goal is to get to 135, but it all depends on how I look & feel, so that could change. I can't believe I can actually say I lost FIFTY pounds! I can honestly say I don't think I could've done it without MFP or my FitBit!

1 year & 39lbs down
Today marks 1 year of me logging in to My Fitness Pal and also my weightloss journey so far. I have lost 39lbs and went from wearing a size 2X shirt & 18/20 pants to a M/L shirt & 14 pants. I still have about 40lbs to go, but I will definitely get there!

Virtual Runs
Anyone else doing any? I have registered for 9 so far! Technically I'm doing a walk, but the charities are still getting their money, and I'm still getting some exercise to earn those medals, so it's win-win!

Not finished yet, but 35lbs down so far!
I still have at least 50lbs to lose, but I think the 35lbs lost so far has made a big difference! I am 5'2" and started at 218. The photo on the left was taken at 215.8 and the right was taken a few days ago at 183.

Did the Doctor Who 5K & reached -35lbs!
This morning I did the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Virtual Fun Run/Walk (what a name!), which was a 5K for me, but my app paused itself part way through and it had missed .75K. I had to have it say 5K though so I actually did 5.75K. :) and I also reached -35lbs this morning as well!

Hurt my knee during 30 Day Shred
The day I started Level 2 I tried the squat thrusts and the first time I did it, my knee popped and really hurt so I did the modified version from then on. My knee still hurts (both do really, but my right more than my left), but I can walk and bend down without it hurting. It's only when I walk upstairs or have to twist…

Question re: TDEE & eating back exercise calories
By the time I even just net above my BMR everyday, my deficit is very low (like 150 calories or so my FitBit says). I was wondering, if I just bump up my every day activities, more errands & cleaning, etc. (which I don't log so I don't eat back the calories) to make my TDEE higher therefore making my deficit higher, why do…

I'm not stupid, really I'm not, but...
Figuring out how many calories I need to eat is driving me crazy! Okay, so my BMR is about 1500 but my exercise is uncertain so I'd rather just make sure I net my BMR every day rather than do the TDEE-20% thing. Now here is where the FitBit comes in... At the end of the day, say my FitBit says I burned 2100. In order to…

I don't know how I should do this...
At 5'2", 187lbs, 37 years old, I figured my BMR is 1580 using the Scooby calculator. I thought I should stick to eating that and eating back my exercise calories, but maybe I should be eating my TDEE-20%? Right now I am exercising about 30 min. 4 times a week which would make that 1717. I know the deficit should be low,…

Are the BMR Calculators really correct?
I'm willing to up my calories to try this because I have been pretty much at a plateau for the last 2 months, even though I was eating at the calories set for me (1350). I am 37, 5'2" and 187lbs. When I use a BMR calculator, it's always different, but above 1500, with a TDEE being approx. 1900 at sedentary I think. I'm…

Itching while exercising?
I find when I exercise and start getting heated and sweating, I start itching. Is that normal? It normally goes away after I've cooled down, but it makes it that much harder to exercise! I also have little popping feelings in my legs after a walk. I like to consider it fat dissolving, but I highly doubt that's what it is.…
