  • Hope I'm not hijacking, but would any of you recommend the Charge HR for an "average" person? Meaning I'm not a cyclist or runner or the like. I'm just trying to be more active and lose weight. I go to the gym and do cardio and lift. I have a One, which I like and suits my needs, but I am an information junky and curious…
  • I lost about 30 lbs before my 30th birthday. I stopped eating healthy and exercising during a really tough semester of college and my husband was working out of town for a month, leaving me to struggle to take care of our 3 kids, house, etc. all on my own. Money was tight & it was easy to say "NO" to myself when I wanted…
  • I have a cervical herniation & was told no running or lifting over 50 lbs. Which stinks b/c I had just started StrongLifts 5x5 and was really feeling great while doing it. Going to see a neurosurgeon next week. I've been walking more & doing my best to stay active despite the bitterly cold weather.

  • I'll be 30 in a few weeks. The closer I get, the more ok I am with it happening (as if I really have any choice in the matter! ). I plan on leaving the kids with my mom and the hubs and I will be going out for dancing and drinking! I haven't been out since before I started my fitness journey in April, so I'm…
  • Today my small win was being able to mostly keep up with Tony Horton during P90X Ab Ripper X!
  • My husband thinks MFP is great and is very supportive of me using it.
  • My right bicep, thigh and calf is bigger than my left side as well. Sometimes up to an inch difference! It isn't really noticeable to me though, or at least I haven't stood in the mirror long enough to notice.
  • I think mine is mental...seeing my actual calorie intake w/o getting any exercise calories back (hey, it's like a free meal every day!) is mentally hard! If I eat my "normal" breakfast, lunch and snacks on rest days then I'm left with 400 cals or less for dinner, and my body is used to at least 600 or more for dinner!
  • Congrats! You look amazing! I am one week away from finishing Power90 and will take a week off and then start P90X. Thanks for the inspiration!
  • I am a SAHM and full-time college student. My husband is out of town M-F for work, so most of the time it's just me and the kiddos. I get up early (5:30-6) and exercise before my 2 & 3 yo wake up for the day. Once or twice a week I will take them with me for a walk, but it's been so hot here lately that I haven't been…
  • I'm not doing C25K, but I experienced something similar when I started working out. Like you, at first my burns were awesome! Now, after consistently doing 3 cardio sessions per week for the last 3 months, my burns aren't so great. My non-expert thoughts are that since our hearts are getting fitter and healthier (meaning…

  • I'm 2 weeks away from finishing P90 and I can't decide if I want to give Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred a try or move directly into P90X when I'm done. I'm a SAHM and my husband works out-of-town M-F, and while there is an Anytime Fitness nearby, they don't offer child care there and I don't have a sitter. So working out at…
  • When I first started using MFP I had it set to auto-post when I exercised, completed my diary and when I lost weight. I changed it to just when I lose weight since I think some people were getting annoyed at the frequency of my MFP posts. For me, combining MFP and FB have been great, I have gotten TONS of encouragement and…

  • Being able to wiggle off w/o unbuttoning/zipping a pair of size 8 pants! They were slightly snug when I bought them 2 months ago and now I'm having trouble keeping them up w/o a belt!
  • I know I'm a stranger from the internet, but I just wanted to send you some ((HUGS)). "There is no failure except in no longer trying." -- Elbert Hubbard Tomorrow you will get a clean slate, a new beginning. Just keep swimming!
  • These are my progress pics from doing Power90. Ht: 5'2" SW: 165 CW: 150 GW: 135
  • I hope I did that right... Anyway, here are my stats. Ht: 5'2" SW: 165 CW: 150 GW: 135 UGW: 125-130 I have been using the Beachbody Power90 program and eating roughly 1350 cals per day, including exercise cals.
  • There were no emotional or health issues that caused my weight gain that I can pinpoint. I was extremely active when I was young and could literally eat whatever I wanted and not gain a pound (even if I tried). So I had very unhealthy eating habits. As I got older, I had 3 kids and became less active but continued to eat…
  • Awesome job!
  • I have been alternating between Tony Horton's Power90 (NOT the X version) and Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred. Both involve free weights and some bodyweight exercises. Power90 has a cardio and circuit workout and the 30 Day Shred pretty much combines both.
  • I ordered mine from heartratemonitorusa.com and it came in clear plastic. HTH
  • My sister (who is extremely overweight) has had issues with her cycle being regular and has to take BC pills to regulate it for her. Her endocrinologist said it was because fat cells hold on to estrogen, which if the levels get high enough (like in my sister's situation) the pituitary gland stops producing those hormones…
  • You look great! I hope my results are as fabulous as yours!
  • ^^^This. I am a recovering sugar addict. I've found the more I eat, the more I want. Like if I have one sugary soft drink then I struggle not to binge on sugar the rest of the day. Natural sugars (like in fruit) don't affect me this way though. And I allow myself to have 1 Fiber One chocolate brownie each day. But I had to…
  • I lived off regular Pepsi (literally since I drank almost no water!) for years and quit drinking it back in mid-April. I still occasionally have one, but I really don't crave it like I used to. I do use the Mio energy flavors though. I'm not a big coffee drinker (I'd have to add ridiculous amounts of sugar and creamer to…
  • Mine is kind of healthy? Haha, it's strawberries dipped in sour cream and then in brown sugar. Normally you couldn't pay me to touch sour cream, but it's really good in this particular combo! I guess you could use non-fat sour cream but there's no getting around the brown sugar (which is the best part and I used LOTS!).
