New Balance are good.. I've had those and like them. I have Saucony's now and like those too. Gotta get inserts though no matter which you go with. The inserts that any shoe comes with is worthless.

Congrats! Same happened to me several years ago when I initially lost 40lbs and then found out I was pregnant. Focus more on eating healthy during your pregnancy as opposed to losing weight. Eat the amount of calories recommended by your dr. but the the most important thing is to eat healthy calories. Alot of women take…

Same boat here... Totally addicted to Food Network and watch just about everything on it. Love Anthony Bourdain as well. Allrecipes.com is another obsession of mine. Love to try new recipes, usually reserve Sundays for "Cooking Day" and anything goes, lol!

Try couscous loaded with veggies.. yum!

I try to stay away from those 100 cal snack packs for the same reason. I try to have snacks around that are low in carbs & sugar, but high in protein & fiber.. unsalted almonds, yogurt, low fat cheese, wasa crackers & laughing cow cheese; hummus & baby carrots, carnation instant breakfast shake (no sugar added).

Ed, simply you are an inspiration to all.. love your words of wisdom and they always come at exactly the moment I need them. You are a wonderful beautiful person and an even better father. I can only hope I am half the person that you are. You deserve the world & more! xoxo

Love, love, love this... thanks for a great post!

I've never had a jogging/running partner either and I'm not sure I would like one, lol, for a few reasons. The biggest is being I wing it based on what I feel like doing and what I'm feeling up to on any particular day. But the biggest reason is that I view my time out running as "me" time. WTG! I use the Wii for the same exact thing, lol!

My cable company has free on demand programs which I find is great when I want to do a little something different and mix it up. They have lots of programs but my faves are Jillian Michaels Last Chance Workout, 6 Pack in 6 and Shred. The Leslie Sansone ones are great too!

I think the only thing I dislike and just will not eat... BEETS. Uggh.. taste like dirt to me, lol! Fruit isn't real big on my list.. don't dislike it but rather veggies. Will eat berries and bananas here and there though. Spinach, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli.. all are an almost daily part of my menu.
