  • I do the 30 Day Shred from my On Demand from my cable company. It's about 30 min but I don't do it everyday either. Probably about once or twice a week since I mix it up with others (like 6 week 6 pack). Helluva a workout.. love it!
  • At first I felt exactly the same way you did... Now I'm proud of my big ol' muscular thighs.. I look at them and say "damn, you're doing great". Seriously though, I'll never have a skinny model type body and my legs (running aside) are no exception. But I thick, muscular, whatever you call them.. I'm proud of them. Reminds…

  • Personally, I couldn't care less about money. I have been on my own for quite a long time and am used to and *prefer* to take care of myself, financially anyway. But the above holds true for me as well.. very simple but very true!
  • I was also wondering about how accurate my FitBit was (a pedometer in a sense). Do you have a track nearby? I went to the local high school track to see if it clocked my steps accurately as far as distance and it was spot on.
  • Newbie (almost) runner here! 2nd 5k in a week and half. I still suck but working on it and slowly getting better!
  • There are so many challengers that are doing so awesome, I don't know that I could pick just one! As for me, I've noticed that my arms & shoulders are more defined and my pouchy tummy is getting flatter!
  • Lengthy but worth it.. I've stolen quite a few meals from this list... Low Cal Meals Veggie Scramble Cook 10 cherry tomatoes, 1 cup sliced portobellos in a nonstick pan until soft. Add 1 whole egg, 1 egg white; scramble until cooked. Serve with 1 slice whole-grain toast topped with 1 teaspoon almond butter, 1 tsp raw…
  • I used to do mine with rice and ground beef but have switched it up now to include couscous and ground turkey. Also add in some veggies like tomatoes, zucchini and red onion. Still way yummy!
  • I absolutely LOVED Jazzercise! Did it years ago when I was real heffer and lost 40lbs. It was so much fun and such a good workout! I wanted to do it again instead of joining a gym but the class schedule in my area changed and there was only 1 class a week I'd be able to get to. :frown:

  • I don't have an recipe but I like to make a little pocket in them and stuff them with spinach, goat cheese and roasted red peppers. Then I bake off in the oven. You could really stuff them with any veggies and mix it up. Sometimes I'll try it with whatever I have laying around. The other way I like chicken is with…
  • Ha.. that's what I did! <==== Not the best pic, but it'll do!
  • Love Chobani.. mango is my fave, raspberry a close second!
  • Haha! I'm on board with #1 ! Thanks for the chuckle!
  • I agree with the other posts. I think the best approach would be to just be very direct and specific with him and tell him what YOUR goals are and that is what you want to work toward. If he's adamant or wont' revise his plan for you, I'd find another trainer. If he's not listening to you in the beginning and off on his…
  • Definitely sounds like water weight, probably thanks to more sodium that you might be used to eating. Lots of water will help flush it out over the next few days. Maybe also up your workouts a bit to try to undo some of the damage? That's my plan anyways..had a week full of mistakes myself!
  • *BUMP* Nearly there myself so I'm interested in the responses/advice.

  • Agree with this, as much as I hate to admit it.
  • I'm a die hard Chobani fan.. I do either the 0% or 2% fat fruit flavored variety and usually also mix in either a smidge of granola and/or fresh fruit. Yummy! I've tried the other brands/varieties out there and some of them are definitely "blech", lol!
  • Fantastic..keep it up! It's all about baby steps so it sounds like you are on the right track!
  • *MUAH* Good morning to you! Thanks for another beautiful, inspiring post!
  • It's ALL a sensitive issue. No one wants to be told what they should or shouldn't be doing, especially when they're trying to do better. Honestly, do't really care.. if I wanted the information I would look it up. What people take offense to is being told what they're doing is "wrong". Oh, btw, I'm a smoker too and know…
  • Raised! But maybe.. I'm thinking.. it's not just my glass of wine that's raised... :blushing:
  • I didn't make the original post about the drink in her hand. In fact I wasn't even concerned with it. My reply to the OP was respectful yet disagreed and I stated my position as such. I did, however, jump on the bandwagon about the drink in the pic. And when another poster asked about the drink, the reply was that it was…
  • So you're saying cranberries aren't red and are artificially colored? I'm not trying to pick a fight, I'm just trying to get you to realize that everyone's definition of progress and success is different. I totally respect your point of view actually and it's quite enviable. But for me, and alot others, just not realistic.…
  • Last time I checked, cranberry juice was red.. just sayin'....
