Thanks. I can walk 5K in about 35-45 minutes depending on humidity (live in OK), but the jogging part is hard on this middle-aged body. :mad: I want to give it a try, but I am the type who needs someone to hold me accountable with the exercise. So this challenge.

Switch to plain Dasani water. Only the flavored Dasani waters have sodium and it is only 29 mg per serving (73 mg per bottle). If you don't like plain water, try adding your own flavorings such as lemon, lime, orange, cucumber slices, or fresh mint.

I think that it depends on the person. It is very close to accurate for me right now.

One step at a time. Each time you walk on the treadmill, you can go a little farther or a little faster. It took 18 months to have those two babies! You are not going to be back to pre-pregnancy fitness/weight in a few days. Just keep at it.

There are 3--20 minutes segments in one hour, so if you walk 1.5 miles in 20 minutes, take that times 3 and you have 4.5 mph.

I have found MFP to be quite accurate on the settings. As for calculating the jogging/walking--see how far you go in that 20 minutes to calculate your miles/per hour. Example: If you jog/walk 1.5 miles in 20 minutes, that is 4.5 mph and should give you a nice estimate (probably a little low actually) on calories burned…

My official weigh-in is monthly, but I do weigh myself every day to monitor for any water retention. I can easily change 2 - 3 pounds a day due to water. If I see the scale jump, I double my water intake for the day to purge the system of excess sodium.
