I'm 5'10" and pretty broad. I have football player shoulders and child bearing hips. My initial goal is 180, but I'll definitely re-evaluate as I get closer. That may mean more or less. Who knows?

If you look at my profile picture, that's a 75 pound loss. I gained back about 25 due to medications and depression and have since lost 7 of that. I still have a long way to go though.

On top of SAD, I also have dysthimic depression (mild, chronic depression). I take Lexapro and it really helps. Exercise definitely helps as well, when I can get motivated to do it. Making sure that I don't get overly tired is really helpful too. I've been thinking about a light box for years. I guess I should probably do…

Seriously, anyone that thinks it's ok to make fun of or judge another person based on body type (or race, sexual orientation, style of dress, abilities/disabilities, hair color, freckles, some physical attribute that really has nothing to do with the type of person they are), needs to grow up or at least mature a little.…

With my twins, I lost 45 pounds in the first 6 weeks of breastfeeding...mostly because I didn't have any time to do anything else. With my little one, I didn't lose any weight and she nursed for 2 and a half years. I've always heard that you shouldn't "try" to lose weight/restrict calories while breastfeeding because the…

It's only good if you stick your liquor bottle into the side of the watermelon and let it drain before cutting it open.

I've come to terms with the fact that no matter how much weight I lose, I will always have the mommy pouch! I had twins and then another baby less than 3 years later! I'm ok with it.

Bump for later!

My biggest pet peeve (although there are many), is the saying "if I can do it, anyone can". I HATE that! We all have different abilities/capabilities, we are not all able to do the same thing. I don't know why, but it drives me crazy.

I live in Silver Spring, MD. I really like it here, because I'm about 15 minutes from Downtown DC, 45 minutes from Baltimore or Annapolis, and just a couple hours from the mountains one way and the beach the other way. We have big cities and working farms right down the road from each other. We have all 4…

Your the closest, so far. I'm 36 (almost 37), 5'10", and 320.

I'm a pescatarian, but my kids still eat meat occasionally. My typical list looks something like this -salad -raw spinach -mushrooms -zucchini -squash -broccoli -bananas -blueberries -veggie burgers -frozen tilapia -cheeses -cottage cheese -2% milk -eggs -sandwich thins

I'm 5'10" and my UGW is 180. I have a pretty big frame and I think anything smaller than that just won't look or feel right, but I've never been that small, so who knows. I was pretty happy 10 years ago at 220...

I was on Wellbutrin for years and I didn't have any weight gain with it. It worked wonders for a long time. I guess it eventually stopped working for me and I switched to Lexapro last year. I started it and the depo shot around the same time and put on 25 pounds in just a few months. Don't know which was the culprit or if…

I think people that make these judgments have no idea how the "welfare" system works. 99% of people that receive any kind of aid HAVE TO WORK. Everything must be reported to social services...pay stubs, bank statements, proof child support received, proof of money paid for daycare, etc. Their tax dollars, which are already…

I don't get a period due to being on depo, but I still get cravings sometimes. I also have a problem with binge eating, especially with ice cream...that's my downfall! I try not to buy it at home, because I will eat the whole container! If I get a craving, I usually take the kids to a fro-yo place and have my bowl and be…

Lots of likes, rarely comment or post. Just found the forums about a month or so ago, though still pretty quiet. I do look at friend's food diaries. I recently became a pescatarian and get bored with food easily, so I'm always looking for new ideas. Plus, I want to be plant heavy, so I'm always looking for carb…

I have stretch marks from being fat...having 2 babies at once...etc. BUT I also have stretch marks on the back of my knees from a SERIOUS growth spurt when I was younger. Over the course of one summer, I went from 5'2" to 5'8". There are so many causes of stretch marks. And out of all the ones that I have, those are the…

I pre-log my meals and then add snacks as I go. If I change my mind, don't make it to the store, or am out at a mealtime, I change it as I go.

Same here. Mine is somewhere on my Father's side. It's so far back though, I'm like 1/16th.

I'm pretty much a European mutt, with a little Cherokee in there. The majority of my heritage is Italian and German, though I look Scottish, but people always assume Irish. The red hair is common with those two, but also Northern Italians.

This is one of those times I wish I still ate meat!!! There's a restaurant about an hour away that has perfected all of this...NOM

I've been yo-yo dieting since I was 16...and I'm always serious...at least in the beginning. This time around, I guess 34 (I'm almost 37).

Yup...plus, it was 21 years ago and I have a hard time remembering yesterday.

Most of what I eat is regular food, with a few exceptions, like most others. Most of my exceptions are dairy, except for cheese, always has to be real cheese. 2% milk. It's what I grew up on and what I have always drank. 4% cottage cheese. Don't know why, just what I eat. Yogurt can be real or light, depending on what's on…

Just realized I never did this! I'm almost 37, single mom of almost 7 year old boy/girl twins and a little girl that just turned 4. I work full time and run my own Pure Romance business, which I absolutely LOVE!!! I've been on MFP for about a year, but just started really using the community a couple months ago. I love…

Yes! I made ratatouille last night for dinner!
