  • I LOVE Zumba because it is by far the most fun workout I have ever done. I use DVDs at home, not a class at the gym and that definitely works better for me. I would probably be self conscious in a class. Zumba keeps my heart rate up there but because I'm having fun it doesn't feel that strenuous. This is the only workout…
  • I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only who experienced this with 30 DS! I didn't throw up but I was really nauseated the first time I did Level 2. Hang in there, it does get less difficult. And kudos for sticking with it when it would be so much easier to give up and just watch a movie instead :-D I found Level 3 much more…
  • Amazing stories! It's incredible to me that people can accomplish all that without magic pills or surgery. So inspiring!
  • Literally laughing out loud at this...carbs bullying other carbs...that's awesome. For me it's chips (french fries) and Red Velvet cake with cream cheese icing. So that's what I have every Sunday for lunch and supper respectively. It's ridiculous how excited I am every Satuday night in anticipation... Oh and POD to the…
  • Cadburys Time Out. 170 calories of chocolate covered wafer deliciousness!
  • That's amazing! It would take me a year to get those results, lol. Congratulations!
  • I agree with redhead and abeare (hope I didn't misspell that): the best workout is the one you will commit to whether it's at home, outside or the gym. I have been a member of a gym several times and gotten great results and loved it. Till I got bored. Right now I am working out at home with exercise DVDs and I love those.…
  • Definitely amazing! You look great!! I'm always looking for workout DVDs so I will check out Turbo Fire.
  • When I'm not watching what I eat I tend to crave sugar in a bad way and that for me means chocolate cake, chocolate bars, etc. I have a chocolate bar that's mostly wafer now on a regular basis and it doesn't really have much nutritional value but it's only 170 calories so I find a way to fit it in :-D Having said that…
  • 30 DS done! Goodbye (for a while) Jillian! Saturday was my last day and I was so glad I got to the end of it. I have been taking photos along the way to see if my body has been changing and I can see some small changes I'm happy with - nowhere near as drastic as a lot of the pictures I've seen here but I'm happy anyway.…
  • @ travlinmel101: I do work out on a carpet but I don't have rug burns yet...maybe I'm doing something wrong, lol? I also wanted to listen to music while I work out but I haven't been able to do that in Level 3 yet for some reason. It definitely makes the workout more fun. Oh well, maybe next time :-D @ Kanne: well done on…
  • Glad to hear how well everyone is doing! Congratulations to everyone already seeing changes. I have 2 more days to go (woohoo!!!) then I'll take photos to compare the change from before this workout. I don't seem to have lost much in my tummy though, which is usually the area I lose weight first. Weirdly it's my shoulders…
  • Hi everyone! @travlinmel101: I couldn't touch my foot during the high kicks at first but I was able to after a few days. Like most of the other moves, it does eventually get easier (I hope to someday be able to say that about the Natalie Push-ups because I am nowhere near able to do even one of those :-)) 4 more days to go…
  • It's quite old but I like Billy Blanks Cardio Bootcamp (Tae Bo). It's a very intense 29 minutes with both cardio and strength. For the strength section they use resistance bands though I do some of the movements with hand weights instead.
  • And I will not help by telling you that I was so glad to see the back of Level 2, lol. But it will make you stronger and it's possible that you won't find Level 2 as torturous as some of us did based on your fitness level and the kinds of movements you're comfortable with. I definitely prefer Level 3 though and I can do…
  • Hahaha...that O.M.G. is exactly how I felt on the 1st day of Level 2. And the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th. On the 1st day I had to stop for a while because like you, I was also nauseated. But you will love seeing yourself get stronger with each day so hang in there.
  • I just wanna start by saying that I LOVE reading about how everyone's doing and reading this thread really motivates me to keep going with the 30DS. I used 1 kg (2.2 lb) weights through Level 1 and half of Level 2 then I switched to 2 kg (4.4 lb) weights for the second half of Level II. It threw my balance for a bit…
  • I don't know in which series it's found but I absolutely love Zumba Sculpt & Tone. It is such a fun dance DVD.
  • I agree with fluffychicken. I have used both walking and Zumba DVDs and enjoyed them both and lost weight with both. I enjoy Zumba a lot more though so I stuck with it longer. I think I burnt slightly more calories with Zumba because it was a little more intense but the walking was a great way to ease back into exercise…
  • Lol, that is the funniest thing I've ever seen on this site
  • That's interesting! I wonder why it happened that way for you. But I agree that generally, endurance does get better with each passing. I realized that the toughest day for me is Mondays i.e. the day after my rest day (Sunday). That Monday morning workout always feels like the first day again but from the next day onwards…
  • I just did Day 9 of Level 2 and I'm thrilled with how much stronger I feel. It's still not easy but it's definitely not as difficult as Day 1 of Level 2 and I've been able to double my hand weights and can do some of Natalie's exercises. There's still not a difference on the scale or the tape measure yet but I'm not…
  • I do exactly the same thing! Put on my shoes, etc. while she talks about being TV's toughest trainer. Morning workouts definitely work better for me though I don't think there's a scientific reason for that. It's just that for me it's the time of day which I can almost certainly commit to on a regular basis as there are…
  • Haha...yeah I will try and go to my mental happy place during these awful planks which seems to dominate Level 2. I did Day 3 today and it was tough but it's getting better. My thighs are pretty sore now, which is not something I experienced in Level 1 (had soreness there too at the beginning but more in my arms and abs).…
  • This is my second attempt at the 30 Day Shred and so far, so good! I just did Day 2 of Level 2 and it's tough but it's definitely easier than Day 1 of Level 2. I love that I can feel myself getting stronger with each workout. I hated the Jumping Jacks in Level 1 when I started but they definitely got easier and I was even…
  • I also just started Level 2 today and it was SOOOO hard. I had just gotten comfortable with Level 1 so I was feeling pretty good about my progress until Level 2 kicked my butt, lol. Can't wait to say I've gotten comfortable with Level 2 and then Level 3. It's a fantastic workout. It's the kind of intense workout I wouldn't…
