  • I log it as "Dancing, general" lol.
  • I just got back from an all-inclusive resort! Here's how I managed: I tried a little bit of everything, I didn't take full portions. I limited myself to 2 fun island drinks a day. I made sure to do something active every day, whether it was a walk, dancing, water aerobics, or swimming. I came back from 2 weeks of vacation…
  • I run...to stay in shape. I run...because I'm addicted to it. I run...very gingerly on my knee after surgery.
  • Hey Beth! Welcome! Congrats on the 12 pounds...that's awesome!! Feel free to add me! I'm north of Pittsburgh by about 35 miles, but I still consider myself a 'burgher :)
  • Crystal Light makes sugar free candies that seem to stave off my cravings. I keep them in my desk drawer and eat a couple when I feel like I need a sugar fix. 4 of them are 25 calories. I also just buy plain old sugar free candy. It's a little bit higher in calories, but it satisfies my sweet tooth without wreaking havoc.…
  • Wow! Excellent job! You've made awesome progress really quickly!! :) I love the pic in the same jersey...it really shows your weight loss off well!
  • Maybe set a goal for yourself...something to work towards. I was in a workout rut, but I just decided to do a half-marathon in November. THAT got my butt back into gear! I'm not a runner by any means, but it's just something I always wanted to do. You could try a new kind of workout. I always check out what OnDemand has…
  • Such a good point!!
  • Try eating your allotted calorie amount instead of going under. I didn't lose weight at first, and now anytime I plateau, I eat my exercise calories back, and that seems to get me through it. You might be eating too little. You also might be gaining muscle.
  • DANCE your butt off at that wedding reception! Dancing is a great way to burn calories! I agree with tcam. Portion control is key. Taste everything, eat nothing. Just have a bite of things that look really good to you that you might overload on. Have FUN and enjoy yourself! Way to go on the 3 pound weight loss! Stay with…

  • Hey girl! I totally get what you're saying. I've been through the same thing so many times. This time I"ve been a bit more successful and I think this is why: 1. I've looked at this as a lifestyle change instead of a diet. Lifestyle change just sounds so permanent and I've psyched myself out into thinking it IS…
  • Don't do it! Stay strong! Or make someone else get one and just have a bite. That's my favorite trick
  • I just went through this with my boyfriend on vacation! I did take some of my own food (light wheat bread for sandwiches at lunch, rice cake snacks, and protein shakes), but I actually coped by getting up early every day for the 3 days we were there and running. It sucked, but it helped. I also made sure to do physical…
  • Not a bad idea! I have the Burn Fat, Boost Metabolism video, but I already incorporate it into my weekly workouts once a week.
  • My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE sports bra is the Enell sports bra. I saw it on Oprah a few years ago and bought one. It was pricey (around $50, I think), but WELL worth it. I've worn it for almost every workout every day for about 3 years, and it still works fabulously. It hasn't lost any elasticity. It's a pain to put on and take…
  • I LOVE this site! Thanks!

  • I drink about 3-4 bottles of water a day. We have a water cooler in our department lounge, so I go between classes to fill it up. I also will slip out of class to use the bathroom, or I will go in between classes. Are you a high school or elementary teacher? I think as a high school teacher, I have it a bit easier with…
  • Oh man! I alternate between 3 pounds and 5 pounds, depending on the exercise, and I'm on Level 2! I canNOT imagine starting L1D1 with 5 pounds. DANG! Way to go that you even stuck with it! Keep shredding! The results will blow you away! :)
  • I wholeheartedly enjoyed reading that.
  • OMG how are you girls doing it? I'm a 34 DD and I've lost weight before but I NEVER lose my boobs. I've love to go down to a C.
  • BUMP! I miss mac and cheese so much!! I thought I would never have it again haha! Thanks! :)
  • A friend request is on its way!
  • Holy cow, you look AMAZING! So much younger! Way to go!!
  • Triscuits, most Atkins Advantage brand foods (double check the labels), light wheat bread, low sugar/low sodium peanut butter (Jif makes a yummy kind). No sugar added popsicles (Edy's and Crystal Light make very low-cal popsicles that are really good). Quaker makes a good 25% less sugar chewy bar. This is the tip of the…
  • In Pittsburgh, we called chopped ham "chipped ham," say "pop," instead of "soda" or "soda pop," and we say "yinz guys" instead of "you" or "y'all." Pittsburghers are also famous for saying "sammiches" instead of "sandwiches." We also pronounce our own town name as "Picksburgh."
  • Bump...looks cool! Thanks!
  • That sounds EXCELLENT! Thanks!
  • How about stickers? You could have a sticker chart and when she gets so many stickers collected (maybe 10, or 7 for the week), she could get a bigger reward (a small toy, ice cream, etc.). That way, she's working towards a bigger goal, and if she does get rewarded with junk food, it's only once a week instead of every day.…
  • Awesome! Thanks!
