I would be embarrassed to get more than 1 refill of soda at a restaurant, it doesn't seem like anyone should be drinking that much soda at a time. I find it annoying when they just bring me a refill without asking because usually if I'm still thirsty I'd rather have water.

YAY!!! That is a huge accomplishment! I started c25k at about 285, it took me a month to be able to run 60 seconds straight, but it was so worth it. The first time I did it I was so excited I told everyone I know. I'm on week 3 now. Add me if you want

I weigh myself every day too. Well every day I work, I do it there. I understand wanting a "fix." I feel the same way, it just feels so good to see the number go down. But when it goes up as it occasionally does I just remind myself that it will be a bigger loss next time. It will make me a little sad when I get to a lower…

I've got stuff I've gotta get done, and my weight was holding me back :) I'm here for more energy.

So much inspiration! Thanks everyone!

That's it I'm mailing it! I'm excited  Thank you!!!

I don't know what to expect when i hit onederland (200 lbs or less), and it makes me nervous to get my hope up that I will be able to do it. Once when I was 20 I starved myself for a couple months and was able to reach 198, I was so excited. Then it promptly went back up. 10 years later at 30 I was up to 318. I have no…

It sounds like you either need a new doctor or you need to see yours more consistantly. If you don't go often enough they don't know that you've made progress. My doctor is very supportive of my attempts to lose weight and congratulates me on the progress I've made so far.

I graduated summa cum laude from a medical assisting program a while ago and it took me two years to find a job in healthcare. I got 20 interviews but it never went any further than that. I finally got a job as a phlebotomist. Looking back now I bet me being overweight had a lot to do with it.

cheese and pasta, any kind :)

Thanks for the replies everyone! I had the kung pao chicken and steamed white rice. She brought me the fried by accident and I had to send it back, I really hate doing that. Oh well, it was good, and I still have 150 calories left over for supper, I'll try to squeeze in a workout so I can eat more.

I hadn't thought of ordering the sauce on the side. I usually tend to avoid asking for things from the waitress (I'm paranoid about getting my food spit on) but I might be brave and try it this time.

We usually go every other week so I want to try to find something new. I don't have time to work out on wednesdays so I can't make up for it if I go over.

Thank you SarahCate for an honest answer :) I probably should look into seeing a nutritionist. I hadn't really put much thought into it but I bet it would help. I'm on metformin solely for my pcos because my testosterone was high, I've never been prediabetic despite weighing over 300lbs when I started this journey. He told…

I'd say go with the highest weight, the one right before you gave birth, if it makes you feel better. You worked hard to push that 8 lbs of baby out of you, you might as well count it.

Once a week I boil up a bunch of eggs, then I can just grab one as I'm heading out the door. They come in their own wrapper. Usually I'll also have a rice cake or a piece of fruit, and that gets me through till lunch time just fine. It sounds like you need a little bit of protein in the morning.

Thanks for all the answers! I'm pretty new to this myself, but I think it might be a fun activity for us to do together.

You can't put someone in jail for something that hasn't happened yet. It sounds like too much time to me.

It doesn't seem like I'm going very fast, but I will try slowing down.

I don't have an answer about the underwear, I just wear regular brief panties, my husband calls them granny panties, but they're comfortable so I don't care. But about the running shorts. My thighs rub together too, and I found that if I wear something tight on bottom (usually leggings, but running shorts would work too)…

I did weight watchers online a few years agos, I did lose weight. But then I found this site and I can't believe I paid to use the other one. Food already comes with calorie labels on it, why pay for the inconvience of converting those calories to points? It just seems so silly. There also seems to be a much better sense…

Thank you, I have some kind of digital music player, not an ipod, when I get home from work I'll see if this works with that. If you couldn't tell I'm not very good with technology.

I've been counting steps, mostly to give myself something to do. I usually go up to 100, but I should at least time myself and see how long it takes me to get to 100 steps. Towards the end of my walk I get up to like 40 and go back to walking. I know that's no where near 1 minute.

Peanut butter, especially when mixed with chocolate, I don't mind it in savory foods. And mayonaise, blech!

It's great that you want to start the c25k program. I'm at 287 right now and I'm still working up to it. I walk about 25 minutes every other day and I do a few intervales of running, I'm doing more all the time. But I definately can't do the intervales like the c25k program says to do. But I know if I keep at it I'll be…

I think the point is the companies run on the concept of supply and demand. If they are making money selling these machines why would they change that. It costs money to design a sturdier machine, and if we don't speak up and demand it they won't be sure it's worth the investment. Most companies don't care about helping…

That's interesting, I never thought that much about it. I tend to binge on celery when i feel like eating something cruncy, it's better than a big bag of chips. I know when I'm sick or something for a few days and don't eat anything when I eat normally again my stomach feels smaller, I get full faster.

They already are if you can get a dr to say you have a condition that would be benefited by it. I know what you mean, in the small town where i'm from there are generations of people on public assistance, some of them don't even try to get a job. You grow up and when you're old enough you start getting your own checks.…
