Ooh that does look cool! But expensive, I wish I could try it out.

I thought about getting something like that, or maybe a ball chair, to strengthen my core, but do I really want to commit on sitting on one of those all day? Has anyone tried one of those? I would definitely like the option to stand. And I do think I'd get more steps in if I took a couple steps to the printer every time…

I ran my first 5k at 280lbs (5' 6" female), it took 47 minutes, sometimes my run is about the same speed as my walk, right now I run about a 12 minute mile. It took a long time to get here. Seriously, slowing down works, work on distance, then the speed will come.

Psychology can be overcome and at 63 it's not too late! You can do it! Add me if you want a friend :D

really really sleepy

I agree it this, it's best to keep it simple at first. I've restarted a few times, and I find I've done best when I've kept it simple. Even if you just log your calories at first, eat like normal, log everything you eat, and then see how you can change. One little change at a time. Right now my plan is no processed…

Hi! I'm totally open about everything on MFP, anyone feel free to add me! I have been away for the past few months but here to make a comeback. I've been slowly creeping up and need to get back on track.

Hi! I'd love to have a friend! I'm back after a long break from eating healthy, and I really need to stay motivated.

Thanks for the input everyone. I think I'm going to go with the Jawbone. It may be shallow but I really like the look of it best, and that it syncs with MFP. My friend let me check out hers today and it was really comfortable. It doesn't look like a fitness tracker at first glance. I was surprised by all the options out…

I think you're making fantastic progress for only being here a week, and I'm sure it will start to show up on the scale, and in other ways soon too. I hope you keep it up, I love having you here with me. And I'm so glad you're on the forum, there's so much great stuff here, just stay away from the love gurus.

Very inspirational post, thank you! I needed that reminder today, I've been slipping lately.

nope not diabetic, on it for PCOS. Thank you :)

I'm on metformin, I'm not sure what a statin is.
-
I might, I'd like to get some extra measuring cups to keep in my purse too.
-
Most of them don't actually say they measure ounces, they're all in grams. I did finally find one and ordered it.

bump? anyone?

Thanks that's what I was looking for. I'm still in stage 3 for another 18 lbs

I'm a lucid dreamer, most of the time it's awful, but you're right there are times when I get to live out fantasies I'd never get to do in real life. It seems like I can do whatever I want in my dreams except wake up, it drives me crazy. Especially when horrible things keep happening. The worst ones are the dreams that…

It may feel nice at the time but how will you feel after eating that bacon pizza? Sick? Fat? Greasy? Like a failure? Have your rest day tomorrow and have a nice workout to rest your mind. You'll feel better in the long run.

bump

Maybe it's time to switch things up a little bit. Are you eating the exact same thing every day for breakfast and lunch? Your body might just be stuck in a "rut." Try a different work out, or a different menu plan. You can make a candy bar fit in your calories once in a while. Keeping it exciting might also make you not…

That is fantastic! It's so hard to drive by all those fast food places on the way home from work. If I'm having a hard time I call my husband and talk to him until I make it by.

If your diary was open people could help you better. I don't see any meals there besides breakfast. Where's lunch and supper? You will lose weight at that big of a deficit for a while, but it will slow down eventually. And it will be a lot harder to maintain. I always wonder too, how did you get overweight in the first…

I really like "Traditional Country Hymns" for cleaning the house

I gave up diet pepsi cold turkey. I used to drink 2 liters a day, and usually 1 or 2 energy drinks. Then I went a day without it and the headaches were horrible. I realized it's unnatural to be so dependent on something as silly as a beverage. It's not substance, I don't need it to survive. So I just stopped drinking it.…

Fake plastic shoes are the worst, flip-flops or crocs. They're fine for around the house or a quick trip to the grocery store. But I hate it when I go out to supper and see someone all dressed up and then they just threw on a pair of old plastic flip-flops. Wear real shoes!

I think that's a sign you're doing something right. When I was at my heaviest I would oftentimes wake up still full from the night before. It's not a good feeling.
-
Great reminder, thank you! Out of curiosity how old are your kids? Mine are 7 and 3, I know it will be a really long time, but I'm looking forward to when I can go run before they wake up.

Congratulations! I bet it was a blast! That's my first short-term goal :D
