Obese vs Morbidly obese

I keep hearing people say "I'm no longer morbidly obese" or "I'm stage 1 obese". Where do you find those numbers? I've found the bmi charts but they only go up to regular obese.

Wow. They don't even go up to my starting weight on this chart . Back before I had my surgery there were a bunch of bmi calculators that gave the different stages. When I went looking recently it was harder to find--I ran my original #'s first because I couldn't remember exactly what I started at & I noticed the change. I was morbidly obese at 251.5 lbs. & 5' 2.5" & now just overweight.0 -
Morbidly obese usually means 100+ pounds overweight.0

Morbidly obese in the UK is any BMI over 40. When I started here I was morbidly obese. Now, I'm just obese. Go me!  :laugh:0

Morbidly obese is a BMI over 40. I was super morbidly obese (BMI over 50) when I first began my weight loss journey over 9 years ago.0
