  • Great job! I did P90X in the fall and loved it. I found with it being my first program I struggled with the nutrition, but I wasn't using MFPat that point yet. You will have great results next round I am sure....Keep us posted. I am thinking about doing another round after I finish Combat!
  • I usually do active recovery too, this week has been a little messed up. I love going for walks, a hike, or a bike ride....
  • I do not use the gloves, but I truely love Combat, I think it is my go to workout...before I know it my workout is done, and it is always a change up of punching and kicking.
  • Jo here! I have actually done P90X in the fall and dabbled a bit in both Rev Abs and Hip Hop Abs. Am on day 18 of my Combat journey and loving it. I had started it previously and had to take a break due to illness, so I started over and am doing doubles once in a while. I look forward to being able to both give and get…
  • They are just jealous!
  • You can log it under strength if you want to log it...no calories added through that method though...
  • I took my current measurements and then set small goals...they are easier to accomplish. Now I have reached a couple of them I have changed some of them....Hope that helps a little.
  • That is a huge thing! Thanks for feeling confident enough to share it with us! We have to remember we are all here to improve our life through fitness and/or nutrition, and here to help each other.
  • My name is Jo and I am a Subway Addict! (hope I didn't offend anyone) I love subway oven roasted chicken on either the flat bread or the 9 grain wheat toasted, with spincach, tomato, green peppers, onions and a little southwest....I also have to have that little splurge....love that sauce! I just made myself hungry and now…
  • Sometimes it sucks being a woman....I was once told that by being a woman we really only get one or two good scale weeks.... But on a better note. For me personally even though I wasn't under 1200 calories I wasn't loosing...I bumped it up to 1700 and lost about 6 pounds in a month.....Everyone is different and there are…
  • There are some AMAZING Why stories. Thank you all for sharing with me!
  • I agree that my WHY changes on a regular basis also and that. It is hard not to think you are being judged on how you look. I am very sceptical about going out in public in shorts.... I am working to change that this year...
  • Hey if it works for you that is all that matters. Your health is a GREAT reason! Good way to take control!
  • That is Great Motivation......
  • I use it as a mood resetter also!
  • I think NOT! It is pure neglect! I myself neglected my body for several years....and decided I had enough.
  • I guess it really is a personal decision...If you are confident in where you are and your ability to maintain, then you should be ok, if you have any concerns then I would keep logging, and it is kind of nice to check on others and be there to support and motivate them along with getting some needed motivation at times.…
  • I am doing my planning for my workout..... I am using body wraps.... My spouse doesn't understand I don't have any support..... These are a few I have heard recently. I am far from perfect also, but I try to do my best everyday to improve my life....
  • I agree. I think I may go through my list also...I don't have alot of friends on there, but I think I need to keep it real...if they aren't serious enough to post and be honest or even open up your diary....I might have to reconsider them being on my friends list. Thanks for the post.
  • I have found that if I plan and pack my lunch and snacks for the day I do much better. It is way to easy to grab junk if I am not prepared....and I try to have options also, not just one choice.
  • You can do this!!!!! I am 5'8" and started out at 183....down 16 lbs to date. We are all in this together, and SHAME on her for saying that you can't! I think it would light a fire in my A@@ and I would just have to show her! Feel free to add me if you would like to.
  • Small goals are great. I try not to focus on the scale number, since muscle weighs more then fat....and if I am seeing a difference in the tape measure and the way I feel and my clothing fits that is my small victories.... The goals I set for myself are things that are definitely measurable. Somtimes it is in relation to a…
  • I agree with the undereating. I was struggling to consume 1200 calories a day, and was not seeing any changes....I bumped it up to 1700 a day and wow it almost fell off. I lost over 6 pounds in a month.
  • For me on any of the Beach Body programs the second month....I usually gain weight the first month...so try to stay off the scale.....be patient and give it time you will do great!
  • I hate to tell you that there is no quick fix. It didn't happen over night and you won't fix it overnight. Make good choices each day! Find friends on here to support you and be a network for you........Stay active.....cleaning house, walking.....it all adds up and counts. Let me know if I can help you or be some…
  • Slow it down a bit and maybe motify a bit....take more breaks.....I have done P90X and doing Combat now and found that you can't rush into to it too fast. Do you hve a heart rate monitor? That might help keep you closer to your target heart rate. Hope that helps a bit......Keep me posted on your journey!
  • I think that building muscle is important along with the diet....squats, lunges and the calorie defcit. Keep in mind that muscle burns more calories then fat and takes up less room...But diet is VERY VERY Important!
  • Change things up! Try something new...if you are using weights bump them up a little...if you are doing cardio, pick up the pace a little...or change to weights if you are doing all cardio...confuse your body! Sometime that is what helps me. My body gets used to doing the same thing day after day if I don't and I quit…
