I love working out to GirlTalk, anything from "All Day". Other than that, I listen to a ton of Strome and old-school Daft Punk. All great for getting that heart rate up. Oh! And Adam Lambert. I like to pretend that if I run hard enough, he'll become straight. Hasn't worked so far...

Clemintines are the BEST! I eat them like candy. Plus they come in those big boxes pretty cheap.

TONS of garlic/onions for me. I like carrots and spinach as well (spinach would be especially good for you since you said you're anemic?). I also tend to like zuchinni, green beans, okra, and broccoli. And yeah! Add some spices, some water, and you're good to go.

Can I just say OP, that you've already accomplished and achieved so much? I have zero doubt that you're going to reach your fitness goals while being a full time student/full time employee/excellent mom. Also for your crock pot, you had said a few times that you dont know what to make in it. I use my sundays to pre-plan my…

Maybe I'm a pollyanna person, but at the gym I only notice people being awesome. Like there's an 82 year old woman who's in there all the time getting her fit on and being friendly and sweet. Other than that, you have to be pretty extraordinary to get me to notice you negatively. You know? There's music and TVs and we're…

Advice: Do all your prep Sunday night. Portion all your snacks out and put them away. Cut up some veggies and chicken, toss 'em in the crock pot and go to bed. That way you'll wake up on Monday morning with your house smelling like soup (yum!) and your food taken care of! I'm at about 1500 cal atm, here's more detail (in…

Ditto above. There's tons of triathalon classes/adult swim classes popping up now a days, I've seen them at the Y and my community center. A good teacher can help, no matter where you're at. Plus the breathing thing is pretty crucial to any good swim, I think getting help could be all sorts of useful.

Ditto MakePeas. I find its pedometer function to work very well, especially as compared to cheap drugstore pedometers, and even the Polar Loop. I also use it to track my sleep, which is just fun to see. I'm not totally sure how its so accurate calorie/weight loss-wise, but yeah, it magically seems to be basically spot-on…

Your attitude is so positive and your success is so inspiring! Congrats on reaching a healthy place!

MEGA congrats to everyone! May we all eventually post our successes on this thread (aka the best thread ever). Seriously, you're all such inspirations.

I'm working on morning gym trips as well. Try sleeping in your gym clothes, and packing your work clothes the night before. Its SO much easier to get up and go when all you have to do is put on your shoes and make it out the door.

YAY! So awesome

Its all about baby steps! You didn't gain the weight in a month and its not coming off in a month either! Every little bitty positive change adds up to a lifestyle. Also, here is a Thomas Edison quote for you: "I have not failed. I've just found 1000 ways that don't work"

Chicken Sausage lady! Its still calorie-concious, but its a nice little treat/break from chicken breast meals.

I definately do the "buy something too small as motivation thing" although it's generally special occassion wear, rather than day-to-day. 2 years ago I bought a dress for NYE. It "fit" (technically) but I looked like a stuffed sausage in it. Also I couldnt move my legs (it was a standing still dress). Now I can fit it! It…

YES! I've started waking up on my back as well. You're totally on the money about the difference in back pain (neck pain for me). V. weird. Also, I now fall asleep with a body pillow, like cuddling it. It helps with my knees kocking together (less padding now!). Are you all colder at night now? I definately am. I used to…

Yeah...I'm losing my boobs as well. Its kind of a bummer going from a DD to a C (so far). My butt looks like its here to stay however. As I'm losing, its turning out that I'm more pear-shaped than I had thought! Its making exercise easier though. I don't have to wear 2 sports bras any more! Cut way way down on laundry, so…

Weigh and record on MFP daily, but I only check in w/ my training group 1x/week. I don't really have a reason for weighing myself daily, I just like the graph and the data.

Agree with the two people saying their dark chocolate pretzel thins and the Inner Peas pea crisps. They're both amazing post-lunchtime snacks. Also, I like their big bag of gluten-free oats (I have a quarter-cup of it mixed with PB2 for breakfast), and also their Fiberfull Granola bars. I'm not a huge fan of the produce…

Welcome! I'm orignally Toronto, although I've since moved away. Best of luck!

I don't know where in MD you live, but if you're anywhere close to VA, there's a lot of great options! There's the Washington and Old Dominion trail, that goes from Arlington to Purcellville, and also the Mt. Vernon trail that goes from Rosslyn to Mt. Vernon. Both of those have parking. There's also a great trail in Rock…

I'm 5'6 -- 26 years old SW: 236 CW: 181 GW: 154 154 is the tippy top of Normal BMI for 5'6. My first goal is actually 175 -- my high school weight, and the lie on my driver's liscence.

I spend about $75/week, or $300 month...just for me. I'm looking around this thread and that seems crazy high! I'm a Whole Foods/Trader Joe's kind of girl though. I should probably do a better job of budgeting.

YAY!!!!!! Best day ever! That's so exciting!

I also have two different playlists for Cardio and Weights: Cardio: Papaoutai -- Strome Calabria 2008 -- Enur (already mentioned, but awesome) If I Had You -- Adam Lambert Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger -- Daft Punk Also anything by GirlTalk Weights Backstreet Freestyle -- Kendrick Lamar 212 -- Azelia Banks Hip Hop Is…

My fitbit helps with more aerobic-type classes (ie Cardio Kickboxing/Zumba). I also do a team weight training class 2x/week. I just dont log it. Sorry, I know that's not really helpful.

I haven't really entirely cut out much. BUT: A nutella-and-marshmallow fluff sandwich (on the reg as a before-bed snack). Sometimes in college my roommates and I would take chocolate chip cookie dough, wrap it around oreos, and bake them. It's delicious.

Don't despair about the dairy-free/soy thing. I have an allergy to caesin, which is functionally the same as being lactose. And most people are somewhat allergic to soy. It doesn't mean you need to cut it out entirely, just don't overcorrect your lack of dairy with too many soy products. Mix it up! There's Diya cheese,…
