I'm please to have shopped in the USA and bought size 10 US which equates to 14 UK - I'm wearing everything inside out to show off the label!

Actually I was in California for 15 days and ate out three meals a day for 12 of those days, breakfast, lunch and dinner in diners cafes and restaurants. The only time I felt comfortable with a meal was the last three days when we ate with (other) friends in their home.

I would say more than 600 calories, the batter and the fat count for a lot, not mentioning the chips!

My first goal was to reach a healthy BMI - got there last week. Weight wise 11 stone 7, (161 pounds), which I think at my age would suit me well - I'm 63.

Can't go wrong with fruit!

There is an awful lot of processed food in your diary and no fruit and vegetables. Why do you have two yoghurts for breakfast? They maybe low fat but they a packed with sugar. I have a fruit salad with melon, fresh pineapple, fresh peaches etc for breakfast. Sorry to criticise but you did ask!

Yes, Yes, Yes!!! Have lost 24lbs since March. Search for the 5:2 groups on here where you will get plenty of good advice from people who have lost and are losing weight on this brilliant way of eating! I started off logging every day and then hit a plateau about a month ago so stopped logging on my non-fast days and it…

I eat carbs, in fact I eat whatever I want 5 days a week as I'm on the 5:2 diet, which in my opinion is the best thing since sliced bread - oops is that a carb!!
-
I'm 63 and have lost 23lbs since March by doing the 5:2 diet that doesn't seem like a diet at all. Feel free to add me, although I haven't done much logging over the last week as I have been seeing if I can still lose weight without calorie counting and guess what - I can!!!!!

Mine wasn't the mirror but the camera lens. In a mirror I look fabulous! LOL!

As one who has tried every diet under the sun and got all the weight back plus some, I will now tell you about my journey on the 5:2 diet. It is very, very popular in the UK at the moment since Dr Michael Mosley made a TV programme about it, which was aired last August. You do not actually fast for 2 days as another person…

Out shopping with my husband today he noticed a sexy, clingy, red dress in a shop window and said to me to go in the shop and try one on. I picked out a size 14 UK thinking it would not fit and went into the cubicle to try it on. Wow -it fitted and looked GOOD! Check out my profile photo and my big smile!!!

Hi I only had 27ish pounds to lose and I'm nearly there, 22 lbs down. I have been doing the 5:2 diet since March 10th, this includes 2 holidays where I haven't watched what I was eating at all. It averages out at about one pound a week and because I don't feel that I'm dieting I am fine with that. Good luck on your weight…

Get rid!

Stewed fruit and half fat creme fraiche is way below 300 cals

Yes it has worked for me. TDEE or around on non fast days, 500 calories or around on fasting days. I keep myself busy on fasting days, drink plenty of water, black coffee and sugar free squash to stave off any hunger. I do not have breakfast just have a cup of milk tea, then soup and a banana for lunch. Fish or chicken…

It is not a quick fix, one pound a week is the average loss. Fast means restricting calories not fast weight loss. It works for me and I am happy with the results.
-
I drink five days a week, in fact I'm enjoying a G&T now and will have wine with my roast chicken dinner tonight, but I'm on the 5:2 so I can!

5:2 works and I'm over 60! BP now normal after being high for years, joint pains gone, shortness of breath gone, IBS gone. Sustainable because after restricting your calories to 500, you know tomorrow you will be eating "normally". 5lb off my goal weight after 22 weeks.
