I love my protein, so I pretty much always go over. I'm usually around 40% protein and 30/30 on the other two.
-
Well I don't recommend fat burners but you can try creatine and CLA for muscle gain and a good protein powder that has no additives is Allmax Isonatural

Given it time. Even half a lb losses will add up over a few months.

I log mine and make a note of what I used to sweeten it (usually honey or stevia). Tea is good for you and comforting and when you look back at your diary to try to see what works for you it is nice to see exactly what you consumed, even if certain things didn't have calories. I log my multivitamins too :)

Lol I do the opposite, I eat the frosting and give the cake to my kids :p

I personally am trying to avoid cheat days/meals because I always end up falling off track when I try it. Its easier for me to just be fairly strict and enjoy the treats that I work into my daily routine (a hot chocolate and a fiber 1 bar or something similar) rather than going completely off-track and then trying to reign…

Your best bet for a consistent weigh-in is to do it at the same time every day - but only record it once a week. I weigh myself in the morning while I'm brushing my teeth and record my weight on Mondays. Also be aware that water-retention is almost unavoidable during your period so don't get discouraged if you go up a…

I've never had a lunch break that would accomodate a full-length workout but I used to walk a few laps around the block after I ate just to clear my head and stretch my legs.
-
Lol oh same here! I love my lists and charts and math and measuring and weighing - to the point that it becomes more of an obstable than a benefit. I'm so busy calculating everything that I forget to eat or will miss my workout window lol And of course I am the same way with my housework so I can't start cooking until I've…

I know how you feel, when you weigh every day and the scale only shows tiny changes it seems like a waste of time but then a few weeks in you realize that you've actually lost a decent amount of weight. I'm trying to stop weighing as often, or at least not pay as much attention to the number except on my weekly weigh-ins.

Lol Dean/Jensen is *kitten* hilarious and somehow he reminds me of William Shatner in this video - overacting gold

I don't mind eating over my protein and fiber goals, but I try to be more careful with my fat and carb levels. If you are very active - a competitive athlete or dedicated runner - then you will want to boost your carb intake to fuel those workouts but if you are working out moderately having lower carbs and higher protein…

Working toward a mini-vacay that includes bikinis and hot tubs helps. Getting a new hair cut, or massage is good too. A fitness goal can be its own reward - running a 10k or something similar that you can be proud of. Or trying something new that you were too intimidated to try before - bungee jumping, sky diving, mountain…

This seems like a kind of odd statement. First, it is quite possible that they've been together since before she lost (or even gained) the weight because obviously this weight loss journey is a relatively new development. Second, what makes you think that a man would only be with a her for the way she looks?
-
Yeah I'll admit when I start a new game I can quickly lose 12 hours without even noticing lol the same goes for books. Most recently I burned through the Dresden Files and I am DYING for the next one to come out
-
Aw don't quit gaming  lol there is always room for video games in even the healthiest lifestyle!! Good luck on your journey, I am confident that you will exceed your goals and be much happier and healthier :)

Trying drinking a glass of water after each alcoholic drink you consume. Not only will it slow you down a little, it will fill you up and prevent hangovers - win/win/win. And yeah, definitely try to drink smart, vodka with cranberry and soda water and ceasars are good options.

Looks like at least few inches lost :) You should measure and track your inches lost - those are way more important than lbs anyway.
-
Yep, the same lack of inhibitions that leads to one night stands also leads to binge-eating lol For many people anyway. I actually find that drinking kills my appetite, not just while I'm drinking but all the next day too - which is why, about 6 years ago when I was going through a bit of a partying phase I also lost 20lbs…

I have an (almost) 2yr old and an (almost) 5yr old. I gained 55lbs with my first and managed to get down to my pre-pregnancy weight and then got pregnant again pretty much immediately lol. I gained 60 lbs the second time around (went up to 210) and managed to get down to 180 but then a pregnancy-induced thyroid condition…

I wish I could say the same but the only cardio I love is when I go dancing lol
-
I'd recommend incorporating some resistance training as well but otherwise it sounds pretty good, as long as you aren't expecting instant results. 2 months would probably be a good timeline.

You don't need to slim your hips but you could easily bulk up in the chest and shoulder area to make your hips look leaner by comparison.
-
Well if you are planning to get a lift when you hit your goal weight then you could boost your motivation by putting a couple bucks away every time you do a workout, so that when you finally do reach that goal, you'll have a substantial pile of cash to spend on your surgery :)

Your body is for so much more than being looked at, so when you feel those negative thoughts just remind yourself what your body has been through and what you have accomplished. How strong and powerful you are, what you are capable of now. You deserve to take pride in that, whether you look like a cover-model or not.…

I've always found it absolutely horrible how ignorant some people can be. They talk smack about fat people, saying they need to "get off their *kitten* and eat a salad" but then, when they see an overweight person jogging, working out or eating a salad, they make cruel, insulting and degrading comments. Any douchewad who…

My advice is to take advantage of the less-mobile first year because the older they get the more constant attention they need lol Both of my kids started walking at 7 months and then they were (and are) always underfoot. If possible try to get your baby into a fairly predictable routine so that you can plan your meals and…

I usually try to eat back about half of my exercise calories. That way I don't entirely negate the effort but I still nourish my exhausted muscles.

When I get overwhelmed by stress, I generally tend to say screw it, where's the effing chocolate but this time I just come here. I visit the message boards to vent and/or read how other people are dealing with similar struggles - its a good way to distract myself from the craving and refocus my attention on my goals.

I'm hoping to lose 50lbs by halloween. That gives me about 9 months, and I am eating between 1500-2000 calories per day, depending on my activity levels. I lift weights most days and fit in short bursts of cardio throughout the day to keep my heart rate up and my metabolism firing. How much you are capable of losing is…
