Adorable puppy is adorable. OP - For SHAME! As someone who absolutely loves to bake and loves to share the wonderful things I bake, I find this tale to be simply rude  Why punish the cheesecake?

I missed the first couple of episodes but lately I've been watching while I lift. I'm enjoying it and hope it gets a few seasons.

Hi everybody! Compulsive reader, casual gamer, obsessive movie-goer, useless-trivia-lover, grammar-ninja and all around geek. 26yrs old, 5'7, 2 kids, 50lbs to lose (can't wait to be able to cosplay all of my favorite characters). Some of my favorite fandoms include: The Legend of Zelda, Supernatural, The Hobbit/Lord of the…

Walking. Its simple, its easy, its a natural human function. Find some friends and start a walking group. If the weather resists, go to the mall and walk there (bring some healthy snacks in you over-sized purse so you don't have to eat mall food) If that's not an option, walk on a treadmill. Watch your favorite shows, read…

Change your diary settings to sedentary and your weight loss goal to 1lb per week. Your calorie goal will be higher and your progress will be slow, but attainable (and sustainable). Increase your resistance training and incorporate plenty of core strengthening exercises. Feed your body good quality nutrients and don't fall…

He claims he hardly ate because he hated the food there, but his idea of hardly eating is quite different than mine lol

When my husband went to police academy for 6 months he gained a fairly significant amount of muscle and lost a lot of fat. Obviously its a different situation but it is technically possible. He is 6'4 and weighed about 195 when he started, and when he graduated he weighed 215 and had gained several inches on his…

Let them cook with you, if they help make it they are more inclined to eat it. Tell them actual facts about the healthy foods they are eating and how it can benefit them (more than just "you'll grow big and strong") When I told my 4 yr old that eating asparagus can make his pee green he suddenly couldn't get enough of it…

If you don't mind making odd requests you can ask for a "deconstructed salad" Basically they can just keep all the salad ingredients separate from each other and the dressing on the side - that way you can choose exactly how much of each component you want. A Cobb salad usually comes pre-deconstructed and has hard-boiled…

Anywhere from 2-6lbs (depending on my diet leading up to it and the severity of my symptoms on any given month.)

My whole family are either boxers or boxing coaches so they are fully aware of how they Should eat (whether they do is another matter) but my friends tend to be entirely clueless about healthy food choices - they are body by vii fans, which I suppose can be helpful but they always gain the weight back as soon as they start…

Mine is open, go ahead :)

You're pissing off your body and its fighting back. Eat more.

When you set up your MFP account, it asks you what your goals are and then automatically adjusts your calorie goals accordingly. If you want to lose weight, it will set your goal at a deficit so that if you eat only that much, and maintain your usual daily activity (not adding exercise or being less active than normal) you…

Since Jan 1st til today I have lost 14lbs, but the first 10 came off so fast that I know it was just water - the last 4 have been challenging and I fully anticipate the rest to be just as hard (and harder). Doount on losing that much every month.

You can add it to your food diary and it will automatically 'delete' the calories you burned.

Egg whites are a low-cal, fat-free protein source. Boneless, skinless chicken breasts can be eaten at any meal for a huge hit of protein. Any lean cut of meat will provide big protein for just a few ounces. Greek yogurt, quinoa, beans, cheese and of course whey protein powder.

As long as the ingredients in your smoothie are actual fruit (fresh or frozen) then it should be just fine. But if that is fruit juice, it might be a bit of a calorie-bomb.

Yes, rotisserie chickens are a godsend when you can't cook. And buy an electric kettle to heat water quickly, then you can make instant oatmeal, couscous, rice noodles and other easy meal starters. That, plus lots of fresh veggies and maybe some canned beans and tuna/salmon and you'll be golden.

Seconded

Anywhere from 350-600 calories for meals and 100-200 calories per snack. And (except for milk) I only drink unsweetened tea or water.
-
If you are asking how many calories it will burn so that you know how many to eat back, then good. But if you are hoping to create a bigger deficit then you are obviously flirting with an eating disorder.

I just bought a food scale yesterday, (starfrit) it has a tare feature and measures in grams and ounces. Plus its bright red and only about half an inch thick so it stores anywhere :)

I feel the same way - so tired and freezing cold all the time.
