Day 10 - walked up and down hills all over Seattle with my sister on a BEAUTIFUL spring day exploring stores we never knew existed. It was a lovely Saturday. Day 7 - taught k-5th grade music class which involved a lot of jumping, clapping, stomping and searching for a hidden tambourine. I considered that moving. ;) Day 8 - really felt the exhaust from working with the little ones while working with the big ones in a high school resource room and product fair. I wanted to go to…

Awesome pictures! You look great and you certainly have great taste in clothes. I was almost at 300lbs this time last year, but lost 25 and started to gain again. So I joined a gym, got a trainer and am on this site. Thank you for the inspiration! I look forward to seeing your progress :)

@tazmac I sure did sleep well, thank you! :D Day 6 - walked treadmill between 3 and 3.5mph for 30min. Then worked on the legs and arms with the weight machines. I also lost 2 more pounds!!!! That brings me to 8 down with plenty to go. However, I love the progress I am making

Cannot agree with you more! I love walking outside especially after having to work inside all day. Day 5 for me consisted of Elliptical for 20min., weight training for legs and arms ( 15 reps from 25-40lbs repeated 3 times each), and then another 28min on the Elliptical. I am anticipating some good sleep tonight :)

Day 4 - Three hours of work in a super hot kitchen to prep for a community dinner that I also helped serve. We were moving everywhere and quickly. I relaxed a little afterward, but then did 20min of yoga. Ready to hit the sack!

Thank you for the welcome! Good job on your workouts, too! I didn't go to the gym as planned today for my Day 3. But I did hull a Queen size mattress, box spring and frame with only the help of another person to my apartment on the 2nd story. I also did a lot of shopping/walking around stores trying to find bedding. I even…

Yes!!! This helps me stay in budget AND helps me buy food that I need to be healthier and not just stuff to munch on and gain weight. It helps to have a meal plan first then create your list. Try to know what you want to eat for each meal each day.

I will join this, too! This will be my day 2, though ;) I kicked my own butt at the gym on the elliptical. Today I have a personal training session and will probably do another 30min on the elliptical or treadmill. This is a cool challenge and a great way to make small goals for ourselves in this journey of becoming fit…

Thank you for your post! I really appreciated you bringing a male perspective that is often not heard. I like what you said (even though it hurt a little too) about how your wife was so worried about her body image that it became difficult to be intimate with her and how frustrating it was for you as a man since YOU…
