I worked out 5 times a week for weeks 1 and 2. I did 2 weeks of week 3, since it was so challenging, and I'm doing 2 weeks of week 4 because I was away a few days. When I add it up, it comes to 30 days of workouts over 6 weeks. It worked well for me and while I didn't take measurements, I did lose a couple of pounds and my…

Back at it today after a weekend away. I always feel so much stronger after a couple days off. I did exercise both days though, especially since it was a weekend full of parties!

I like level 4, too! I did my 4th day of it today, but I'll be away this weekend so I'll do this level again next week. Thinking about doing her Yoga DVD next.

Hi All! I am 50 years old, 5'8", and about 138 pounds. I joined MFP 4 months ago when I turned 50 as I noticed my metabolism had really slowed down and my weight was creeping up! Also, I have an irregular heart beat that kept me from doing any exercise for about 6 months, and my cardiologist wanted me to start working out…

Wow! So glad you're both okay. Amazing - thank you for sharing. Your story will be my motivation for a while. Also glad that I drive the same car.

myrealname, Don't let that inner voice talk you out of it! You can do it - only 2 more days and your done. And please think positively. The weight gain doesn't need to quickly follow, nor does muscle loss. Reward yourself for finishing, and in a day or so, get started on what's next. I rewarded my self with a new pair of…

I finished 30DS on monday and am pretty happy with my results, especially since I'm working on maintaining. I lost 1/4" in arms, 3/4" at chest, 1/2" at waist and natural waist and hips, and no change for thighs. Well, thighs may be a little larger due to muscle - so happy that a lot of the jiggle is gone. I wish I had…

L3 D10 done! I think I may try a L1 and L2 workout tomorrow- just to see if they are any easier now! After that: Ripped in 30. So happy 30DS is done. I was getting pretty bored with it. I hope RI30 doesn't have as many planks! I'll post some measurement changes tomorrow, but they won't be drastic. I'm working on…

Congratulations and keep up the good work!

I don't even try to do the jump lunges anymore. I couldn't get the hang of them and was afraid I'd injur myself. I think the alternating are enough for met took 5 days, but I can do them now, ot at least do them better than I was at first. I think mine are somewhere between Anita and Natalie's.

Level 3 Day 8 done! Rest day tomorrow.

That's frustrating! I haven't lost weight or inches either, in fact, my thighs are a little bigger! I'm fine with it though because they don't jiggle anymore. I feel so much stronger! A while back, I felt like I should be losing when I wasn't. I noticed my sodium intake was high so I cut back or eliminated foods high in…

Level 3 Day 7 done! I definitely take rest days, and it makes a big difference for me. I usually do 2 days in a row, then a rest day, then 2 more days. Once I did 3 in a row, and the 3rd day was horrible! I find that the day after the rest day goes really well. That's when I'm usually able to do more Natalie moves! Godd…

30DS rest day for me. Hoping to get a run in after work.

[/quote] I bought mine at walmart for $20. It's a watch, I know a lot of people on here use the high price chest bands, etc. and feel the cheap watch at Walmart is not accurate. I know that anytime I have actually taken the time to check my pulse, it is pretty accurate. It might be off by maybe 3 or 4 beats. I might…

I take rest days, but don't count them towards the 30 days. It will take me almost 7 weeks to finish the 30 days. On days I don't do the 30DS workout, I do cardio (run, walk, eliptical) and some ab exercises. On days I do the workout, I try to get in a 30 minute walk or (slow) run as well. Basically, I try to get in 60…

L3D6 done, and I did all Natalie except for the jumping lunges. Those are just too tough on my knees and hips so I just do the alternating lunges. They are hard enough! It was such a beautiful morning so I did a 45 minute power walk before the rain comes in. My legs were dead by the end of it. What type of HRM do you all…

I hated all levels the first few workouts! I start each level by doing mostly Anita moves, and add a Natalie move each day. I did level 2 for 12 days as I didn't feel I had mastered enough moves. I don't do the workout everyday, usually just 4 times a week. I'm working on maintaining now, and have been happy with my…

Welcome! I think you'll find trhis a very supportive group. I'm on level 3 now, and this group has really helped me keep going! Keep up the great work!

L3D5 done! It went much better today, but that may be because I didn't workout till 11:00am, a couple hours after I ate breakfast. Restes, awake, and well fed make a big difference for me! Modern_eye: My left shoulder has been hurting since last Sunday. All these plank moves are killing me! bpalferys: COngrats on…

I use a 10 lb ketttlebell, and bought it to use with the Jillian Michaels 'Shred it with Weights' video. I liked the video a lot, and lost several pounds over the 2 months I did the workout (I did every other day.) Some have said that it's not a 'safe' workout, but I learned and practiced the exercises ahead of time and…

I just checked out your pics- awesome! Congrats on your results! L3D4 done! Went much better this morning. Only used modifications a couple of times.

Modern_eye, I agree. I was debating between BFBM and RI30 and decided that I needed the shorter workout. I like to do these workouts in the morning, and can't see mysdelf getting up at 5am to do it. I'll get more cardio in after work, and now that it's summer, it's easier to get outside for exercise at night. I recently…

Level 3, Day 3 done! I had to do it at 6:00am, without eating anything, so it wasn't pretty, but I did it. I do much better with a little food in me.

Skipping 30DS today, and going to run instead. My shoulder is bothering me still, and today my pecs and abs are sore as well! I think that's because I felt like I did the moves correctly, yesterday. Good luck, everyone!
