Hi Dave..... I have recently got up to running 10k...not a race - just for myself..but for a 62 year old who has just been running for 7 months I am chuffed to bits with myself! Loving running! I'm from West Yorkshire too so good luck to a fellow Tyke Jean

I started running when I was 62....... last year.....my first 5k was 37 minutes and my best time is 34 ........ not races, just pounding the streets by myself

Great advice! :flowerforyou: Jean

Great advice given here...... I agree with all the points made....and would add to just take one day at a time...try to eat well and move more, wherever your baseline is, just do more activity...and each day - or each week - do more. If you have a good day it will spur you on and if you have a bad day put it behind…

Went to a new park to run...I usually chose flat/downhill courses as much as possible..this was tougher as the park was on a slope so was up and down to do a couple of circuits....... so no records broken but was pleased to do two miles!
