  • Does it count if my daughter is 24 months? LOL But in seriousness, the part that made me eat the most was sleep deprivation. I find that if you aren't getting enough rest your body's hormones that controls hunger/appetite are out of whack. But, now that she's STTN, I got used to all the bad eating that I was doing!
  • I would say that 1200 is not enough, especially if you are working out that much. I highly suggest you read this post, it will help. Use the link to the accurate calorie calculator and use that in MFP and not whatever MFP suggests. You gotta figure out how many calories your body needs to survive, how much to maintain…
  • Congratulations! As a pear shaped woman myself I know this is a big deal. Be proud of your hard work :)
  • I'm using BSN Syntha-6 chocolate milkshake flavor, I love it! It tastes great, especially mixed with strawberries/blueberries.
  • Hi I'm Amy! I'm 26 and looking to lose around 45lbs. Would love friends for support and motivation!
  • Iron supplements will extremely help your energy level. Also try to put iron rich foods into your diet (spinach, beef, eggs, beans, etc) as well as the supplements. I have iron deficiency anemia and can tell a huge difference between taking them and not taking them. My aunt's iron was so low (tired all the time, absolutely…
  • Way to go!! I can definitely see results. I agree with the whole getting into the mindset to start something. Keep up the good work.
  • Thanks, I'm gonna try it. I definintely LOVE carbs (omg delicious). I'll try cutting it back, upping the protein, and see what happens.
  • Thanks the numbers I calculated the one on fitbit are pretty close. :)
  • I'm 5'8.5" and approx 186lbs (didnt weigh myself today, going off my last weigh in). I've burned 2475 calories today but its usually less on my 30 day shred days than my c25k days (today). I don't have a gym so I'm not sure what I can do for strength/heavy lifting other than the hand weights I'm currently using. As for…
  • I'm so glad that I've posted this question, I really appreciate everyone's comment and advice. What I'm taking away so far is: 1) Connect my MFP and Fit Bit accounts for a more accurate picture 2) Invest in a weigh scale for measuring food 3) Work on my clean/healthier eating and continue to cut back on sugar/processed…
  • I agree with you, today was terrible. I am an emotional eater, I know this, admit it, and I'm working on it. I was super stressed today at work, which isn't an excuse, but it is what it is. I thought about eating the banana bread and logged it but decided to wait 30 mins and now I'm full. I think I just need to cut out…
  • I'm such a dork, I didn't even know they connected! I'm going to set up everything so that they are connected and hopefully that will give me a better and more accurate picture. Question, do you mean that I should log my c25k activities as well? I log my 30 day shred already on those days since fitbit is not accurate on…
  • I definitely do log these items. I watched the video and now I'm paranoid that I'm logging everything wrong. I definitely measure my food but I don't think I'm filling it up like the show in the video but I guess its definitely possible.
  • I log on fitbit.com but its still viewable: https://www.fitbit.com/user/2CSG2K Today looks so bad bc I had 3 donuts. Such a bad choice.
  • No I burn around 2400 calories a day and eat -750 of that number so around 1650 intake.
  • It really depends, I log my food on fit bit. I do have some cheat items occassionally at work. A piece of chocolate, a donut or cupcake for someone's birthday. Would that really hurt me in the long run? My fit bit profile: https://www.fitbit.com/user/2CSG2K
  • What type of schedule are you planning on doing? I'm on week 5 of C25K and have been doing 30S on my off days from jogging. I felt like I wasn't exercising enough so this week I started doing C25k/30S or cardio/30S each day instead of switching. Only my second day doing this but really starting to feel the burn. I moved up…
  • I used to be a teacher and stood for about 90% of my workday. I now have a desk job and I noticed a definite increase in weight gain by going from standing to sitting most of the day. If you are wanting to stand it has its own problems - I worked on tile and noticed significant foot, back, knee problems till I found a good…
