I'm at 5ft 1/2 inch LOL. Feel free to add me. I'm slowly working to my goal (I've had some medical set backs lately that have slowed me down). I am working back into a routine

I love eggs! We actually have chickens so we have fresh eggs all the time which is nice (and delicious). By the way if you haven't ever tried it I recommend sautéing zucchini with seasonings and then add eggs to make an omelette or sauté and then scramble eggs in with it.....really good taste and I would've never put the 2…

Working for social services for years I will tell you that the most important thing is to protect yourself and your children who cannot protect themselves. I would suggest a friend/family member if you have any close. If not, I would look into a shelter as some have already suggested. Shelters can help you find jobs,…

A lot of it is insecurity in how we feel about ourselves and how we look. I will say I never went to a gym much for the same reason, but they offered a free week in March so I told myself I had nothing to lose. I went with a friend and we both ended up getting a membership after the week. We now go usually between 3-5 days…

yep I lack all coordination so I focus on moving non-stop and trying not to run into anyone LOL. It so far is working for me!

There's not much that I can say here that hasn't already been said. Welcome to MFP! The first step is getting started. I would encourage you to take it at a reasonable pace. Don't jump in trying to do too much too soon or it will cause more problems for you. Do what you can and build off that each day. If you start walking…

I started working out 2 months ago doing different things. I mainly was doing aqua classes due to back and shoulder injuries from flipping a car years ago. That being said, I was doing Aqua Zumba 2-3 times a week and I have recently started doing land Zumba 2x/week. Although I have results not solely based on Zumba but a…

couldn't agree more. I've stayed plateaued for weeks but I have been measuring all over (arms, legs, chest, hips, stomach, etc) and I've lost 20 inches in the time that my scale hasn't moved...

Mine is $75/year but I have a discount for being a state employee. My membership includes gym, pool, group classes etc. Mine is roughly $6.25 a month :)

I would thank her for the opportunity to work with her over the past several years. I would indicate that you have been offered an opportunity to further your career goals which offers an increase in pay and benefits. While you appreciate her as an employer, you cannot turn down the new job opportunity. Just keep it very…

Crock Pot Recipe; Put 2-3 chicken breasts (fresh or frozen) in bottom of crock pot. Mix 2-3 TBSP of taco or fajita seasoning with double the amount of water (I eye it...you can add extra water if you need) pour over chicken and cook on high for 3-4 hours or low 6-8 hrs. Shred chicken and you can use it in so many things.…

cannot advocate water aerobics enough to you. I had a horrible car accident 3 years ago where I flipped my car vertically. I still suffer from muscle trauma to my back and shoulder. Water aerobics allows you to work everything without the strain you have on land. I would say if you have access to a gym that offers a pool…

Just did 50 in my office (in sets).... giving it a go...

I cannot recommend aquatic classes enough. I have back and shoulder problems from vertically flipping my car 3 years ago. I have been doing a variety of aqua classes that strenthen balance, core, cardio, etc. Best part is it's high intensity but low impact. I have lost 5 lbs in 2 weeks of doing these classes. I'd suggest…

i don't remember the name because it wasn't what I was looking for even though I occasionally do laps. If I run across it again I'll let you know.

That's my luck.... I do more aqua classes since I had a bad car accident a few years ago and flipped my car...back and shoulder have never been the same. I found one that works in water (something else) but it's more for lap swimming.
-
does it work in water? I do mainly aqua aerobics, aqua zumba, aqua kickboxing, etc.

tonight I will be doing Aqua Zumba for an hour and Aqua Kickboxing for an hour.
