  • Just a heads up to people waiting for a fix, if a user completes their diary and the other user then looks at their news feed, you can see the “has completed their diary” post which has a View Diary button on it. This will get you into their diary and you can adjust the date from there. Not ideal but it’s a workaround for…
  • No idea on the NVs, but they make a fine dosa, and those okra fries are amazing.
  • Get a food scale, use metric measurements, never use a volumetric measurement for solids, track every component of your meals. Sorted.
  • To echo others, ditch the cups, and as someone else said, switch to metric. It's far more precise. 0.1 oz is around 3 grams, and if you're working with something calorie-dense like butter where there are over 7 calories per gram then you need that precision. Also, cups are a measure of volume (same with spoons), and solids…
  • I have a jar of peanut butter, a spoon and some digital scales on my desk at all times. That's my snack.
  • I'm on an Apple Watch now and I really like it, plus it does a lot more useful stuff besides fitness. Prior to that I had two Fitbit Ones, three Flexes and three Charge HRs and they all broke. Credit to Fitbit, their customer service is exceptional and they always replace them without a fuss, but I got bored being without…
  • Tuna? Wish I lived where you did! It's £1.50 (about US$2.50) for a small can here.
  • You switched your diet to 100% liquid sugar and at the same time became unable to function. That isn't a coincidence. It will happen again.
  • Psyllium husk. Looks and tastes like sawdust but it works.
  • When your graph looks like this: But upside down.
  • Do NOT cancel the account. It will be set up as a direct debit and will be a credit agreement. If you cancel your account or the DD then all that will happen is you'll get debt collectors after you and get a huge red flag on your credit record. I did the same thing and it really wasn't worth it.
  • I never enjoyed the act of running, but I enjoyed doing it up to a point. The first few months of going further and getting faster, smashing PBs all the time was immensely rewarding. But after a while it becomes very hard to put in enough training hours to be able to keep beating those PBs, and to beat the distance records…
  • Prelog at the start of the day and stick to it. Sorted. And the ads are generated from your browsing history. You don't want ads for takeaway sites appearing, stop visiting them.
  • I don't really get full. If I go to an all you can eat Chinese or curry buffet then I can comfortably plough through 5,000kcal in half an hour and still have room for more. I've just accepted that I don't have a good instinct for food, and it adds about three minutes over the course of my day to log everything on here and…
  • A period of comfort eating is nothing you can't undo later. If it goes on for years then maybe you can look to address it, but if a few weeks or months of eating everything in sight is what you need to stay sane through this period then just do it and don't worry about it. Your mental health and your family are more…
  • What's going on here? I just stumbled on this thread Y'all are poetic
  • 1 proper one usually. I tend to just snack throughout the day and have a main meal in the evening.
  • I second the above post. You don't even need water unless it's hot, if you're well hydrated before you head out you can do 10k without anything. You certainly won't be needing any kind of energy/sugar/electrolyte products for a 10k unless you've been starving yourself for ages.

  • Depends on the style of establishment surely? You don't need to be in good shape to be a stripper (if the image of the club allows it), but you do need to be in very good shape to work a pole well. You need a lot of flexibility and strength. A lot of the successful ones spent their childhoods doing dance and gymnastics and…
  • Complete opposite to me. I came because I couldn't function properly because I was overweight and unhealthy. I'm now a good weight and healthy, I just have to finish making myself look how I want :)
  • I have no recipes to suggest, just to comment that if you're always finding it's "not tender or juicy" then you're almost certainly cooking it too long so no recipe is likely to help much. Ideally you want to be eating it as soon as it's safely cooked through and no longer. If done right you should be able to eat it plain…
  • I find the step count bang on, but the distance to be off if you use it for running, since my run stride is much bigger than my walk stride. Number of steps always seems to match very closely, but distance travelled for running can be under by up to 25% compared to my GPS.
  • Do if you're enjoying it. Do you use shakes? When I need a lot of calories but am not feeling hungry I find them very handy. 400ml whole milk, 100g of instant oats and 50g of any whey powder will give you 850 calories and you'll barely notice it, it's not like having to chew and stomach solid foods.
  • Saltaire. We have a big mill, and lots of images of llamas. But no actual llamas.
  • Any corn transfer will be negligible. You may find you eat less because it's so much more expensive that you can't afford to be getting through several chicken breasts a day if you're buying organic.
  • If the calorie content is the same, and the nutritional content is the same, you'll see no difference. Do it for better quality food and better animal welfare, not for weight loss. If anything, weight for weight the cheaper stuff is likely to offer better weight loss results since it's often artificially inflated with…
  • I have the Withings ones. They're rather excellent.
