I'm overweight cause I'm lazy and I like food. There. Simple as that. I love to cook, its a hobby, but I like savory things and if I enjoy them I like to eat them. I also am not a very athletic person so I find exercise hard to do, hard to schedule in, boring, monotonous and its not a huge interest, you don't burn a lot of…

Pet Peeve: Restaurant staff who are more concerned about yapping to other restaurant staff about who got more drunk the night before, how Sue slept with Joe, complaining about their job etc. Ummmmmmm . . . I thought you were there to serve me? Isn't that why I'm paying for my meal to begin with?

I'm 35. I was diagnosed with Graves' Disease when I was 30. I've always been able to keep myself around 165 to 175 until I hit about 27, then I don't know what happened, I ballooned, lost 50 lbs quite easily, then my husband of 1 year was diagnosed with cancer, spent a year in limbo, thought I was losing it mentally at 30…

I've never tried Almond Butter or Nutella, I love peanut butter. I love nuts like almonds and hazelnuts but am not a super huge fan of chocolate so I'm not sure that Nutella would be my bag. I think I will have to try Almond Butter based on your recommendations!

Grilled zucchini with a little kosher salt and pepper or grilled asparagus with fresh squeezed lemon juice on top! YUM! those are our go to's in the summer, I'll grill chicken, or beef or pork and have grilled veg with it, maybe a side salad, sometimes garlic toast. I miss summer, lol!

I want to hit "Like" on your post. You've done a lot to inspire me. I feel I know you a little bit more with every post. I even read your posts to my husband and when Ed was ill and when you were not on because of your surgery, we were both concerned. I'm glad that you are recovering. I'm excited to hear more about your…

What I hate is that every store has different sizes, in one store I'm a 14/15, in the next store I'm a 16, then the next I'm an 18, my butt hasn't shrunk or grown while walking 100 feet. That's my peeve. Especially when store #1 is a regular sized clothing store and I'm a 14/15 while at a bigger person store I'm a 16 or…

I've been wanting . . . . chocolate. I never want chocolate but that's what's happening. I have heard somewhere before that if you eat an orange it will rid a person of any cravings. Any success or failure with the theory?

Some people will just argue for the sake of arguing, especially those who are uneducated in a topic. ** before I get hate mail I just want to clarify, I said in a topic as in a specific topic, not in general **

I would go to your doctor and get a complete physical exam including a pap smear. You may also want to ask your doctor to check your thyroid levels, that little thing can sure impact a lot of different things.

My story is much the same. I had a hard time accepting the fact that I had to be on BP meds, put it off as long as I could, I was also under 200 lbs at the time. What set me off is a picture my husband and I got taken last fall. I couldn't believe that I looked that overweight, I never realized it, I didn't see it when I…

what a great idea! I know I search out motivational quotes on Pinterest, this is a great idea! I like your one about Zombies not liking fast food. I'm going to have to pin that one to my husband's forehead!

I totally relate, I'm still scared to go to a class, but I think the other people are right. Also it would be a great way to meet other people who are also looking to get fit. You'll do great!

I agree with the ignoring part. In high school, one of the guys in my class called me a heffer (a cow) not knowing I was in the room. I never forgot it but you know, the hell with him. Its hard cause people like this hurt our feelings but you know, the hell with them, I like to think they're jealous, lol, of what? well of…

an air conditioning installer we know recommended that we keep it at a steady 23 degrees C (or 73 degrees F). That's where we keep it. Its weird since in the winter we keep on furnace on 20/21 (around 70ish).

I try to leave between 650 and 900 for supper depending on the day and what we're having.

peanut butter and no sugar added strawberry/raspberry/blueberry or blackberry jam -- i like to keep it simple, I'm not a sandwich fan -- or sometimes just a plain old tomato or cucumber, easy peasy lemon squeezy!

bump --- i love anything zucchini! :) Thanks for sharing! :)

I agree! A drink or two isn't going to sabatoge you, you have to remember to calculate it into your diet, the same that goes with anythign you drink, you have to factor it in.

Interesting article/posting. I don't go entirely gluten-free but I do restrict wheat and grains it in my diet. I've been tested and am NOT celiac, I do have an intolerance to the point that anything like pasta's, breads etc. turn essentially to glue in my intestines and does not move for upwards to a week to a week and a…
