I don't eat past 7:00 pm. I know that people will disagree with me BUT if my body is busy digesting the food, it cannot get the rest it needs. I'm not sure if anyone else can feel it when their digesting food but it sometimes will keep me awake at night if I do eat in the evening. I'm a creature of habit though, I eat at…

I haven't personally had cancer but I've been on the support end on more than one occasion, I lost my dad when I was 15 to lung cancer caused by smoking and my husband, to whom I had been married to for less than a year was diagnosed when we were both 29 and that's about 6 years ago. I wish you luck with your surgeries and…

thanks for the recipe, quick question, can I use a no sugar strawberry/raspberry/blackberry jam (E.D. Smith No Added Sugar Jam) instead of Smuckers? and can I use dark brown sugar (I like the taste better). and is it for real? the 1/2 pan = 140 cal? They sound absolutely yummy!

I have had several outfits over the course of this year, I'm now working on the next size down, I've lost over 4 sizes, so I've found it great motivation.

I prefer working out in the morning BUT I only get a chance to do it on weekends if I have time, otherwise I'm stuck with doing it at night and lately, I've been struggling with that.

mine fluctuates about 2 to 4 lbs depending on the day. I read an interesting article, I can't remember where, that said something about if your weight fluctuates more than 2 lbs in a day, then you've eaten too many carbs. So I've been kinda watching my carb intake (not a lot but some) and I've noticed that it is the case…

I'm following too!

until about 2 to 3 weeks ago, I stayed motivated by having that special goal outfit, about 1 size smaller than I am, then when I fit into it, got another one and so on. I've been feeling unmotivated these last 2 to 3 weeks, I think its work stress, its my busy season at work and at night I am so tired I can't even think…

really watch what you're eating, sometimes that belly is caused by wheat, there's a good book out there called "Wheat Belly" that explains a little bit.

bump --- I miss muffins sometimes, and the ones from Timmy's (Tim Hortons's) and the grocery store bakery look yummy but are hundreds of calories I can't afford to waste! Thanks!

You've got two legs, you've got determination, you've got spunk, you do the 5K and you rock it like its never been rocked! We spend our lives trying to please other people when we really need to please ourselves sometimes. This 5K is for you, not your father. I know its hard to not think about what others think of you and…

My metabolic specialist told me I only have to wait a 1/2 hour after taking my synthroid to eat anything, drinking is not a problem. He said it is due to the fact that I have a partially functioning thyroid. My husband's oncologist told him he has to wait an hour before eating anything (he has no thyroid whatsoever due to…

My list of mileage is at home but I've completed 28.6 miles, only have 1.4 more to do this week to hit 10 miles this week (I'm doing them in 10 mile weekly increments so I can fit it into my schedule) and I'm feeling awesome! I'm hoping I can go further but for now I'm concentrating on 50! :) Next month 60!

I've got a few really good posters, a couple that have fallen off, but not too many. I'm on regularly, I leave it logged on at work so I can track myself through the day and to keep motivated for when I go home in the evening. Feel free to add me if you want!

yes but will getting the surgery ensure she doesn't get colon cancer, liver cancer, brain cancer, lung cancer, thyroid cancer, skin cancer etc.? Seems a bit extreme to go for surgery for something that there is no guarantee she would ever have (unless she has already had a scare or has an unexplained mass which hasn't been…

Glad you said it, we all think it from time to time. Also think of the emotional baggage you just freed yourself of! And isn't emotional baggage one the many causes of obesity?

I would say its a gland or hormone issue, maybe even be a medication issue. I would recommend going to your doctor, they would better assess that issue and maybe send you to a specialist in the area.

You're young. If he wants some freedom then let him have his freedom. I'm not saying play hard to get but make your own life and make your own plans. Don't always be available for him. Also don't be one of those women who waits for him by the phone. Maybe he'll see what he's missing if you make new friends and hang out…

We must have the same mother-in-law. Actually none of my in-laws comment on my weight loss, they don't care, but the ladies at work are supportive (to my face anyway) so I guess that makes up for it.
