  • Processed meals, whether they be frozen, dried, restaurant or whatever are all high in sodium They may be low in calories but are likely to be high is sodium. To give flavour to something they add sodium in a variety of ways, watch your lables. If you can, choose whole foods. I know that those meals are convenient but make…

  • I may not run per se but I'm definitely going to do a fast walk! I did it twice last weekend and can't wait to beat my last record! Awesome idea! Great motivation!
  • Watch your sodium intake, poutine (fries, gravy & cheese curds) = high sodium! unfortunately there is no healthy version of poutine, not if you want the real thing, what you can do, depending on the restaurant is ask them for unsalted fries, but the other two, well, they are what they are. I know places like McD's actually…
  • Feel free to friend me, I'm very active on this and I too could use some motivation, I have 82 lbs still to lose!
  • McCormick no salt added seasoning, they have 3 different flavours in our area, lemon, herb and garlic and original, also any of the Mrs. Dashes. I don't add sodium to my meals, I try to add flavour with herbs. Also if you have Epicure, there are a lot of different blends, most of which have no sodium too.
  • I agree with both statements. My husband and I are both overweight but when we're in a heated discussion, weight never comes up, its not fair to use it. And quite frankly despite everything, you did marry for better or worse, sicker or poorer whether those were your vows or not. A marriage is only successful if there is…
  • I'm from AB/SK, if you know what that means then you're from Canada or at least the prairies! Add me if you want!
  • usually something with protein in it so I feel fuller longer, like a tbsp of peanut butter (sometimes with apples, sometimes alone), almonds, cheese.
  • I think mine is open, not sure what it shows for carbs. EDIT: I looked at my carbs. They appear to rise during the weekends but are usually lower than what my diary is set at. Some weeks I don't consume very many, the next week I do. Anyway check it out if you want.
  • I don't add cleaning/housework or shopping to my exercise log but I do yardwork, like digging dirt, lawn mowing and snow shovelling. Have no reason why. I guess it's bonus unaccounted for exercise, lol!
  • You are never a failure, never ever. I try to keep that word and thinking out of my vocabulary. Think positive. The sun is up somewhere in the world, we've been given life and the means to do anything we want. If you want to lose weight you have to work at it. Like any relationship it takes commitment, support, motivation…
  • I do the same thing I do to a waiter or waitress in a restaurant, I say the food was awesome but I'm just too full I couldn't eat another bite. Maybe butter her up by offering to take a piece with you, you can always put in the freezer and pull it out on a day that you can afford the increased calories.
  • Fantastic! Good job!
  • you look fantastic! May I ask how you got your arms to go down? My arms bother me and your arms are awesome looking! Any advice would be welcomed.
  • I want to follow this also. Although I don't have problems with heavy flow, I am curious about the answers. I really don't have a lot to offer by way of advice. I know if I take advil, aleve or midol, mine become pretty much non-existant. My are also weirdly based on my emotions, if I'm really stressed or upset, it'll…
  • don't be discouraged. I spoke to my doctor about this a month ago. He said to keep working at it, it will come with time. I have a thyroid issue but its properly regulated. I seemed to have stalled a bit on actualy weight lost HOWEVER I've lost inches and that is more important than what the scale says. Keep up the good…
  • feel free to add me, the more the merrier!
  • I'm on day 17 also. As I've been doing it, my form on the first day to today has changed and I am able to do a deeper squat. As for soreness, I guess it depends on how you're doing them really. I've been doing them in sets. I am treating them like lifting weights I guess and I have a lot of weight to lift on each one. I…
  • I agree with the comments of jealousy. My inlaws are famous for this. They are all overweight, some are more than others. I've always weighed less than them. My sister-in-law had a health scare, she started losing weight (she's also high borderline diabetic), I've been very supportive, thought that might bridge the gap but…
  • I agree, lose weight at a healthy pace and exercise and tone it, I am doing just that, making sure I'm toning as I go, my arms are toning and my lower belly is slowly tightening up. We just have to remember to be patient, all good things come with time, hardwork and determination. Good luck with your weight loss!

  • Some people are like that. I like to be sugary sweet to them. I used to be a receptionist in a law firm. I used to get all sorts of crappy calls and each time I got a crap call, I'd guilt the hell out of them by being sugary sweet and overly nice to them.
  • Fast food wouldn't be my first choice when eating out, I'm picky when it comes to eating, I am not a fan of deep fried foods and I find it easy to turn them down, we never had fast food growing up and I was too cheap to go. My husband loves the stuff so I'm semi-thankful that places like McD's, Dairy Queen, Wendy's etc.…
  • I do it pretty much the same. Some days I struggle to eat 1,200 calories mainly because I try to eat more veg and less other fill, like crackers or breads and stuff like that which makes me feel laggy.
  • congratulations! thats awesome! My husband is 6 years cancer free and we celebrate his life daily. What a great thing to celebrate, life.
  • One of the guys I work with lost a ton of weight and has kept it off for about 5 years. It worked awesome for him, however a lady I used to work with was on it to lose weight and ended up in the hospital from a bad reaction, I think a medication reaction or medical complication.
  • I missed on Saturday so I'm running a day behind, tomrrow is supposed to be the rest day but I'm going to do my 140 then be back on track. I'm really enjoying this challenge, I'm doing my squats during coffee breaks at work, during my lunch break, whenever I have some spare time, its working awesome! I have been doing sets…
  • Fantastic! So happy for you! :)
