I'll agree with your first point. It's amazing seeing someone that's 300lbs say "i lost a pound. I deserve a cheat day!" and then stuff their face with all the food that got them fat in the first place. It's like...what?! You're still fat. You still have a problem! You don't need to be focusing on junk food right now. You…

You're so lucky your body uses laws of thermodynamics. Mine doesn't. My body goes beyond all science and reason. My body is out of this world

Oh and on the topic of "set point theory" in general, yes i believe its true to a certain extent. There was a documentary awhile back that detailed how highly acclaimed scientists are discovering that your body wants you to be a certain weight because of fat cells or something. Trying to remember the name of it. Maybe it…

Oh god...there are so many stupid stuff i did but mostly starving/very low calorie. I tried eating nothing but yogurt for awhile and surprise! I lost weight. Then i outright starved myself and would only eat a meal after i lost a pound. So if i was 200 i would eat and then never eat again until i was 199. Then the same for…

Jesus christ is that the same person? Can we get one 'o them csi fellas to examine the pixels? God damn...

I ate 5 calories and haven't lost weight. Should i be eating less?

was looking for the joke in there. Couldn't find it. Did i miss something or did you answer this question seriously? You are one of the few my friend. And i agree. That is most likely how it's done. Once you've blown past the calories you've eaten that day and started burning more than that, you are burning off the excess…

At this point, i'm ok with it. I'm sure if someone tried to genuinely answer the question, they would get shunned

No. Whaaaaaaat

But what about daylight savings time man?! Do i get extra credit some times and lose more?!

These two. Omg dude. These two are the freaking worst. "Your crystal light has artificial sweeteners and will kill you! And rape your dog". So you ask..."how many people has it killed?" Blank...stare. People so often have opinions and don't even know why they have it. My coworkers are askholes. I made a thread about this…

Well it's not like i drop my cheeseburger on the floor and then eat it. So technically, i do eat clean. My cheeseburger is very clean

Every hour of every day. I must know about my weight fluctuations and chart patterns with graphs and stuff. ...No. A daily fluctuation is pretty meaningless. I weigh when i think i might've lost a pound. So about every 4 days. Otherwise what do you hope to see? .2 lbs lost? I don't think i can get excited about that when i…

Yes....it definitely sounds like a contradiction. And here i always thought if you ate less you lost weight. How wrong i was

Its...er...uhh...This is a confusing topic for me. I had a fitbit and swore by it. Had the one and then the flex and used it religiously and it really did motivate me to get my 10,000 steps a day. Then the fitbit app got a couple updates that really screwed it up and i was getting irritated at wearing my fitbit, so i…

I log it as 1 calorie and eat it

Sometimes that crap just happens. I think part of the syncing process relies on fitbit's servers so if they're having issues, your sync will mess up. I'll be able to sync just fine and then randomly, it stops working. Then it'll work again later.

I love mine but like all the others above, i question whether i really needed it or not. I could have easily just used my regular digital scale and logged my weight in fitness pal when i weigh myself once every few days, but we are in the future. We don't need that crap. My pen (stylus) needs to be charged, my book (iPad)…

Annnnd no guys. Man. I really feel like a minority here sometimes. Where the fellas at? Sedentary days i eat 1500. Days where i get my 10,000 steps and a moderate amount of exercise, i consume a delicious 1800. On days where i get more exercise than usual, i'll up it to 2000. But thats pretty rare. I typically lose 2 lbs a…

PM sent. Its very easy and totally worth it.

The Apple watch when it comes out. Just because of apple's platform, i can tell it'll be huge for fitness nuts.

You are definitely active. Do you have a fitbit? Whats vivofit? I've literally never heard of it. If you don't have money for a fitbit BUT have a smartphone, i highly recommend downloading this app called "argus". It's so good, i literally stopped wearing my $100 fitbit and used this free app exclusively. It calculates…

I think about it all the time. I never forget the pain of being fat and the guilt/shame after i eat like crap for a week straight. Once you understand those feelings and have the foresight to see "i'm really going to feel crappy if i mess up", you'll have perspective. And with that perspective, you understand what you need…

The usual vicious cycle on repeat. They starve for a couple weeks lose maybe 15 lbs (and get moody as hell because they're starving. Who wouldn't be?) and then relax and eat whatever they want. Then the weight comes back and they go through a month of complaining how fat they are then they do it all over again. I try to…

Have you tried the wi things scale?

I had the Fitbit one and liked it but hated wearing the clip cause it would always rub up against something. Then I got the Fitbit flex thinking it would solve that problem but after $100 evaporated out of my wallet I realized I didn't like wearing that either. So now I'm going tracker free for awhile and only using my…

Would this work well with my iPhone 6? I'm getting tired of Fitbit and want to try something new and I never thought I'd say it, but Microsoft has an interesting looking product on their hands

Oh that never gets old Person 1: I'm having problems losing weight Person 2: ok. Open your diary and we will try to help you Person 1: go away!
