Help me figure out my TDEE? Not losing weight and i think my Apple Watch is totally wrong
The past couple weeks I’ve logged my calories to a T. I’ve weighed out each and every thing i put in my mouth. I haven’t drank anything with calories. I haven’t had any snacks. Everything is going straight into loseit. Despite being at a good sized calorie deficit the past couple weeks, i haven’t lost any weight and it’s…

Do you ever eat at maintenance to avoid falling off the wagon?
I’m home today. I’ve had a bad day. Normally when I’m in a bad mental state I go off the rails and order a pizza or something and end my day at like 4-5,000 calories eaten. Today I was thinking about just having an additional 700 calorie meal which would bring me up to maintenance. I feel kinda bad about not sticking to my…

How accurate has Apple Watch been for you? Anybody test it?
I'm always curious how accurate the total daily calorie burn is. Mine says through my normal daily activities I burn around 2700ish a day. Has anybody that loves numbers tested this through out their weight loss journey? Looked at their calorie deficit, what the numbers say on their Apple Watch and matched them up to see…

I'm gonna eat some costco rotisserie chicken and mashed potatoes. How on earth do I log that?
Me and my daughter are gonna ravage the hell out of a Costco rotisserie chicken. How do I log that? I dont have a food scale or anything.

Anybody know about Apple Watch? Help me figure out my activity level! This makes no sense
So I think my total daily calorie burn is just way off. But maybe I'm just super fat and burn alot of calories? Help me figure out if this number makes sense so I can budget my calories accordingly I did absolutely nothing yesterday. I was a total couch potato. I barely even stood up. Walking around the house I only got…

How many calories would you say this is?
There’s so many different entires and calorie ranges for chicken teriyaki and gyoza. Hard to decide which is accurate

I messed up. Can I fix it?
I was so on point with my calories today and I was totally fine. And then my wife suggested getting Dairy Queen over and over and I caved and ate like 1500 calories. Ahhhh It’s like 6pm. Do you think I could just mark it as tomorrows meal and pretend like it never happened? And just eat a light dinner tomorrow to be at my…

“Why didn’t I lose weight?!” Ok. I know. And I’m an idiot
I thought I did well. I got some exercise everyday of the week and I thought I stayed within my calorie range. At least close to it. I felt really confident that after all the sweating I did. All the exhausting workouts! That that would net me a pretty solid weight loss. And I mean…I didn’t go all out on any of these days…

Anybody eat junk food fairly regularly and just work it into calorie budget?
I don’t eat junk everyday, but every now and then I’ll head down to Taco Bell and get some beefy laxatives and work it into my calories. I know a lot of you are health nuts and don’t ever eat “junk”, but I’d really like to hear from other people that eat whatever they want, work it into their calories and still lose…

Why there hell do I continue overeating despite how bad it makes me feel?
Like psychologically it makes no sense. I feel fat and shame and like my life is just so much worse than it would be if i was fit, but what do I do? I go through a drive thru and get junk food. Like why? Every second of my day I’m reminded how fat I am and still I do the exact opposite of what I’m supposed to do And this…

How do I figure out calories from a restaurant that aren’t posted?
I eat at this local burger place that is so good sometimes but I always have to guess at the calories. What do I do? This is a picture of what I eat. How many calories do you think is appropriate for this?

I’m a man that almost broke down crying in Walmart trying to find a shirt :-(
This is so embarrassing but I’m in a bad place right now. I’ve been depressed and feeling like a useless waste of space for the past year and I’ve just done the same routine. Gone to work, come home. Had a few days off where I do nothing and make excuses to my wife about why we never go anywhere. Then pretend to be happy…

4 freaking days I did everything right and the scale didn’t budge one bit!
I know it’s not a long time and it’s probably petty to be upset, but I just expected to lose something. Anything. In fact one day I weighed myself, went to take a poop and after pooping I weighed more? What is the science behind that crap?? I can see how people get demoralized checking the scale over and over and just quit

For those with fitness trackers, do you trust the numbers it gives you?
Like personally I have an Apple Watch series 4. I was lazy yesterday and it said for the whole day I burned 2800 calories. Parts of me doesn't wanna believe I burned that much. But I'm curious to see how other people view their experiences with theirs

My boss and others basically called me fat and it feels weird
Ugh. I just feel so mentally defeated right now. I fell into a bit of a depression over the last year and gained a bunch of weight. My depression is mostly gone but I did gain a bunch of weight and I’ve just recently gotten back on the wagon to losing it all again (hopefully for the last time) The past week one of my…

Can you help me figure out my activity level?
Trying to figure it out to adjust my calories and I’m also curious if my Apple Watch is even remotely accurate. So I’m a cna and I work 12 hour shifts 3 days one week and 4 days the next week. During my shift I get at least 10,000 steps and my daily activities are a mix of cleaning, transferring people, laundry and just…

Can you guys tell me if my Apple Watch is giving me the right numbers?
Does all this make sense? For the record, I’m 34 years old, male and 230 lbs (god I hate writing that) at 5’8 This was a night where all I did was go to work and go home. I work as a cna and it’s not THAT strenuous. It’s 12 hour shifts, but it’s mostly walking and cleaning for a couple hours and the rest is paperwork and…

Is this calorie budget ok for me or should I adjust?
I’m 34 years old at 5’8 and 228 lbs with a goal weight of 150. So I’d like to lose 2 lbs a week I work as a cna doing 12 hour shifts but it’s also a night job so I don’t walk around as much as some others. But I do tend to get about 8,000 steps and get a little exercise in there with the cleaning, lifting and other work…

Is my Apple Watch giving me crazy calorie burn numbers or am I just crazy?
I feel like the update last month screwed it up but not sure. But I’ve been burning tons of calories seemingly doing nothing. I’ll just have a chill day at home being lazy and doing nothing. Will have gotten 2000 steps and my daily burn is like 3000 calories. Take yesterday for example. I didn’t go to the gym. I didn’t do…

How much do you listen to your fitness tracker?
Do you find it to be accurate? I have an Apple Watch I use to figure out how many calories I eat and judging from my weight loss patterns it seems pretty accurate

Why do I get crazy bad cravings after a sugar binge?
If I do well and eat my calorie budget perfectly for awhile I’m totally fine. But if I eat a couple super high calorie junk food meals, I get cravings so bad I fall off the rails. Why is that?
-
Do you ever do less of a deficit on certain days?
I usually do a 1,000 calorie deficit but I worked out hard today and feel like I could have a tiny break. I’m thinking about just going with a 500 calorie deficit. Do you guys ever do that? I figure hey. It’s better than just totally falling off and binge eating everything in the house

Fell off the wagon horribly and am back on but man. It hurt going back to the gym today
So today is my first day back on the wagon after a whopping 6 months off of it and it just feels plain weird. I was depressed and full of anxiety for the better part (or worse) of a year and I’m just now getting my focus back, but I’m 40 lbs heavier, very self conscious and this morning I went back to the gym at 5am and…

New Years is giving my anxiety about my diet
I’ve gotten back on the wagon after falling off horribly for half the year and its been going well for about a week (whoo!) but the thing that makes me nervous is not knowing what calories i put in my body. If i eat out, i always have a menu or something where i can log everything pretty accurately. But my wife got a gift…

I feel bloated after eating certain things. Is this normal?
When I eat normal small meals, I feel good. My weight loss is pretty linear and predictable. But when I eat certain things like corn dogs or chow mein or something I feel SO bloated like I just gained 10 lbs over a day. I checked my diary on fitness pal over the past few days and I stayed within my calories, but my sodium…

Should I weigh myself after a workout or when I wake up for consistency?
I notice after a workout I seem to sweat off most water weight and be a pretty consistent number but not sure if I should do it this way or when I wake up. What do you think?

The high of losing so much weight and doing well to the low of failing AGAIN: depression, lost child
For my entire adult life i was fat. And not just chubby or a little bit of love handles, i mean FAT to the point where i was ashamed to be seen in public, to where it kept me from what could have been amazing experiences (talking to people and going out and doing things) and to where I don’t even have a lot of pictures of…

Should I have a 2 lb a week weight loss until my goal weight?
I eat about 2000 calories a day now and with my time at the gym and work, that gets me a nice 1000 calorie deficit. But I noticed as I lose weight when I recalculate my tdee, my deficit gets smaller and smaller if I don’t decrease my calorie budget. At some point soon it’ll be a pound and a half a week and then soon after…

I thought my life ruining binge habits were behind me. Looks like i was wrong and i'm freaking out
Ever since i can remember I've used food as a coping mechanism whenever something happened in my life that i felt I couldn't handle. Work is hard? Go home and eat crap. My relationship is going down the pooper? Go order a pizza. Even when it didn't result in making me any happier (even temporarily) i would just keep doing…
