Doing this right now! I’ve lightly tested it before and it was surprisingly accurate. It actually seemed in many instances Apple Watch UNDER reported my calorie burn many times. I predicted today i would be 242.8. I was 242.8 on the dot. Which…i dont usually expect it to be dead on accurate like that. Was just a funny…

The entire reason i posted this question was because of this https://medium.com/@practical_app/a-12-week-study-of-the-accuracy-of-the-apple-watchs-calorie-tracking-ed672cb5c333 And the fact that everybody I’ve talked to individually has said their Apple Watch has surprisingly been dead on. So i wanted to get individual…

Weight loss seems to make no sense sometimes. A big thing for me is checking my sodium intake. Lots of sodium? Lots of water weight
-
yeah that's some pretty confusing stuff. Personally, I use fitness pal just for logging calories. Exercise is all on my Apple Watch and apple health/activity apps

Ok guys now another one. Here’s a day where I did absolutely nothing. Just chilling around the house and got under 2000 steps. Didn’t do anything strenuous at all unless you count going to the kitchen as a workout. Does this seem high to you guys or about right for someone with my stats?
-
Well like I posted in my other thread, my Apple Watch says I burn 3400 calories in a day. But I’m not entirely sure that’s accurate. Fitness pal with a light activity gives me a calorie budget of like 2700. Would I be light or moderate?

No no people. I’m not over here starving or whatever and then eating a high calorie meal and going nuts. I eat about 2000 calories a day and workout but let’s say thanksgiving happens. I eat a bunch on thanksgiving and the day after, I’m getting a crazy amount of cravings. My question is why that is. Something to do with…

After having WiFi scales, I gave up on trying to be all techy with logging my weight and just do it through my fitness pal and that in turn, syncs with Apple health and assists my Apple Watch in calculating calorie burn
-
I used to do that and looking back, I can’t believe I thought it was a good idea. The very definition of insane right there
-
Prove it. Say something a 19 year old would say!
-
I honestly don’t really like eating less than 2000 anyway and am not in a huge hurry to lose it all, so I think I’ll just stick to what I’m doing now. Going hungry in the past has only made me fall off the wagon and I wanna be in this for the long haul

My goal right now is to lose the last 50 lbs to get down to my goal weight. Would be nice to at some point have noticeable abs and manly muscles too. I'm not gonna go into professional bodybuilding or anything, I just wanna look the best I've ever looked in my life
-
I mean for freaking $10, it's the price of my Netflix membership. I wouldn't even notice that money gone from my account lol
-
My goal in mind is: use this as a starter gym. Lose a little more weight, get more fit. When I'm used to working out and making it a part of my daily habit and I'm ready to move onto the next level, join another gym

I hate that my weight was a symptom of how I've felt about myself and my life all along. I've felt alone, unmotivated, hopeless and that feeling of "what the hell why even try. I won't ever be anything that matters". My fat was a constant reminder that I felt that way about myself. My lack of energy My awareness of a shirt…

A lot of water. I have this 20oz bottle I refill probably 8 times a day. And I had no idea I was even eating that much sodium. It was nuts looking back on it. Like the other day I would have a small meal in the morning and in the afternoon I had a burger and fries and just that little meal alone was my entire day's worth…

just me at my super stressful CNA job with 3 hours left to go on my shift!

Serious question. Is this post a joke?
-
Why? Because after years and me knowing the weight i see isn't my real weight, I still sometimes can't rationalize what I'm looking at. It's hard not to see the number on the scale and become discouraged. For some people it's like whatever. Others? That number, despite not being accurate, is everything. And one more reason…

Switch to Diet Coke or Coke Zero

Some people have an issue with #2 and I guess I can see why. Because calories are really what matters. But I will say... I am far more motivated to keep going on my calorie counting when I'm physically active. It's a huge mood booster and it makes me feel like I'm actively working on losing weight instead of just counting…

For me personally? Today it was five guys burgers. Damn they make a good burger!
-
It's been awhile since I've gotten to rant. Long overdue!
-
Yes yes and hell yes. I've lost about 60 lbs by simply eating within my calorie budget (even with cheat meals. I hate that name ) and just going on walks. Why would I limit what I eat? Like I'm going to act like a freaking cow and eat grass all day and hope the weight coming off alone will make me happy? No way. I still…

I try to keep it in the 5-6,000 calorie range on those days where I just let go. That way my daily calorie burn of 3,000 calories plus my daily 1000 calorie deficit means I should only be set back maybe 3 days or so
-
It sounds like you eye balled your portions in the beginning and got lucky. Now that you weigh less you need to be stricter in your calorie counting. Saying "well this looks like x amount of calories" ain't gonna cut it when you're trying to get down to your goal weight

Coffeencardio: as an actual introvert, I appreciate you pointing this out. Most misused word out there besides "literally"

Nothing wrong with being a bro, bro

It's just water. Whatever "bad ingredients" they might have aren't nearly as bad as some people make it out to be. Don't worry too much about it
-
It's pretty much a sure thing that you've been miscounting and eating too much. Unless you have some killer fluid retention
