Propel Water, good or bad..? Thoughts..?

I do like good old plain H2O, but saw this and was curious about it. A lot of times flavored waters have drawbacks or negative aspects about them that are hidden (sorry I hope you know what I mean, long day here, and I really should be in bed!). So I was just wondering if they are good or bad for you, and if there are any drawbacks or anything negative possibly associated with these.
For verification, this is the product I am talking about:

Thanks for any replies!!!

What do you mean about negative aspects?
I used to drink them years ago, but not anymore.0 -
Things like, bad ingredients or chemicals it may contain. Any good or bad aspects of it is appreciated. Thanks!!0

It's just water. Whatever "bad ingredients" they might have aren't nearly as bad as some people make it out to be. Don't worry too much about it0

I guess the things you want to avoid are substances like aspartame? I used to drink flavored waters but stopped mainly because of the expense. I now keep tap water run through a Britta with half a lemon cut up in the bottom and that's good enough flavoring for me.0
-
They're less dangerous for you than 100% pure water is.0
-
I doubt its dangerous but the aspartame in Propel zero gives me a terrible headache every time so I prefer not to drink them. The grape one does taste amazing though.0

Okay. Yes, aspartame is a slight concern/red flag. Guess I will try one and see if I get any headaches or anything. Definitely won't make them a regular item on my daily diet or anything, though. I agree, regular water run through Britta is probably my best bet.
Thanks for all the replies!!0 -
Aspartame gives my mom headaches and makes her pain levels soar. She's convinced it is poison and that no one should ever consume it EVER EVER EVER.
But aspartame has absolutely zero negative impact on me and I consume it regularly. For me it actually has the bonus of curbing sweet cravings (rather than triggering more cravings as some studies seem to indicate is more common). So my mom rides me about how evil it is, and most of the time I just smile and nod. Sometimes I engage but it never turns out well lol.0 -
Wish this was like Facebook and we had like buttons for posts and replies..thanks Phrick and everyone!! I am the same, most of the time I smile and nod when it comes to family or friends disagreeing with food choices. I have a friend who is overboard with watching everything and follows the fads and I just smile and tell her glad it works for her.0

If you like it, then it's good. If it fits your calorie goaks, even better.0

All the flavored waters and sports drinks are on the lower end of the pH scale, which can be a problem for people who are more prone to tooth decay. That's not to say they're guaranteed to be trouble, but just something they should refrain from drinking all day long....

Great thoughts & info, thanks all!0

Now, I don't like the kiwi strawberry or the grape. But the berry? Yes please. There was another one.... was it Cranberry Lime? That was really good.

The bolded part is not totally true
For a lot of people "normal" water np at all.
But like soda waters can be a problem or mineral waters can be something that people have to look at with medical issues with salt for example
I can drink a lot of soda waters but some can make me bloated and "hold" water. This because i have a medical issue with salt.
See for example the salt/Natrium content in different brands of water
Now this is for a lot of people no issue at all
Water is indeed healthy
But when you have some medical issues it can be wise to read just like all the other foods you take in...the nutrition label.

They just came out with black cherry which tastes amazing. Hard to find though. I also love the lemon. Never had the cranberry lime.0 -
Not good if it drives you away from just drinking some water. Not bad because it's still a better choice than drinking high calorie drinks that may take away nutritionally from your calorie limits.
Really it's going to be more about choice, but with so many "natural" claimants whining about it being dangerous to the general population, I can see the concern.
I've drank Diet Pepsi for over 25 years at about 2 cans a day. No poisoning or formaldehyde in clumps in my blood yet.

I like grape and berry, but I've never even seen Cranberry Lime. That sounds awesome!0 -
Some excellent posts and thoughts and info, thanks everyone!! I think I will stick with my Britta filtered tap water and occasionally 'splurge' with a Propel water (that is if I like it and it agrees with me.) Will pick up a couple bottles tomorrow. Thanks again!!0

We get the warehouse pack from BJ's and it has the Black Cherry in it. I love it. I also like the orange one, whatever it's called.
On the topic of additional ingredients in flavored waters, I have low blood sodium, so my doctor is the one who told me to drink a sports drink a day.0
