  • Hi Ladies! It has been so long since I last logged into this topic! I still had a couple of weeks left before my due date, if i recall correctly. Congrats to all of those that have delivered since I've been MIA. AFM - I gave birth to our daughter on 3/9/2012 at 5:34 p.m. Little Miss Jillian Raegan arrived weighing in at 5…
  • I'm currently reading a series of books by Debbie Macomber. There are 10 books in the series-Cedar Cove and each one is represented by a number and then a street name within this Cedar Cover part of the state of Washington. I'm only on No. 6 but they are phenomenal. I've found all of Debbie Macomber's books are great.…
  • Good morning Ladies! I'm sorry to hear that you're all suffering from swollen extremities! It sounds so uncomfortable! Kudos Heather for going all Betty Crocker! I'll bet there are some yummy treats that came out of that ambition! Denise - the gift of slippers that are trendy enough to wear to work is a phenomenal idea!…
  • Denise & Heather - you guys are cracking me up about the mattress! My husband was so worried about my water breaking in the middle of the night during my first pregnancy that he made me sleep with a beach towel underneath me...like that would really do any good! I was induced with my first but I can say…

  • Feel free to add me. I was on so much and now I've slacked off. I need additional support too!
  • Cooking Light is an awesome site and magazine if you can order the subscription. If you like mexican, I highly recommend their recipe for Black Eyed Pea Cakes w/Adobo Cream. For a sweet, there is a lighter version of Strawberry Shortcake w/biscuit that's fairly good...though I recommend not making the biscuits too thin or…
  • Feel free to add me! It's a great support system here. Welcome!
  • Green apples Fiber One Chocolate & Oat (130 calories) or Chocolate Mocha Bars (140 calories) - I usually eat this for breakfast but I think it would make a great snack food too. Walnuts (I think it's 1/8 of a cup) and 1 tablespoon of Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate Chips = 170 calories 90 calorie pack Quaker mini rice…
  • Just one? I have a few but one of the most prominent in my diet has been beans (black beans, black eyed peas, refried).
  • Welcome to MFP! Feel free to friend me if you like!

  • I have the same problem too. I often eat a lot of foods but just cannot seem to make it to 1200. I usually eat around 1100. But I have to tell you, I've been under by only 7 calories and it yelled at me. Finicky little calculator.
  • Thanks Moonsprite02! I'll try to check it out. Spayrroe, I'm not sure if that's who it was or not. All I can say is that today is day two and I feel awful. I'm tired and have a headache. MFP tells me I should have a calorie intake of 1200/day. Last night, after exercise class and logging everything I ate for the day, I had…
  • I've been eating mixed green salads with black beans, colby jack cheese, tomatoes and Newman's Own Light Lime dressing. And when I get sick of salad, I tried a Cooking Light recipe of Black Eye Pea Cakes w/Adobo Cream & Monterey Jack Cheese with a side of tortilla chips and homemade salsa.
  • Welcome to MFP! I am a mom of one (I can't imagine how you handle 4) but also work full time so I barely have the time for working out but have found the site to have great influence on my diet since I started in January. Friend me if you like. It's nice to be able to have support from other moms!
  • Congratulations on a job well done! You look amazing! Very inspirational!
  • I read that an hour of Zumba can burn anywhere from 500-800 calories. When I was trying to figure 20 minutes (the length of a Zumba class on Wii), I based my calculation on the low end of an hour and figured that you burn about 8 calories per minute. It's a fun way to exercise if you enjoy dancing!
  • If you like Mexican food at all and like salad - try a salad made with romaine lettuce (1 cup), cherry or grape tomatoes, 100 calorie pack Monterey Jack with Jalapeno Peppers Cheese, New York Brand Tortilla Strips, 1/2 cup of black beans and Newman's Own Light Lime Vinegrette Dressing. Every now and then I add some avocado…
