My personal fave is Trader Joe's "21 Seasoning Salute." I love the stuff and I don't have to worry about sodium.

I'm Air Force retired. I remember driving to work with my commute partner, an AF Academy grad. We heard the news on the radio and both were shocked. I immediately thought that it was a terrorist attack. I still get a twist in my gut whenever I see a video of the planes crashing into the towers. I hate those *kitten*, Al…

I used to love Grape Nuts but my teeth can't take them anymore. These days I like almost all of the cereals that are less processed and not sweet. The only exceptions are Life and Quaker Oat squares. I detest sugar coated sugar lumps like Cap'n Crunch and those that are cookies and candies camouflaged as cereal.

We love to eat what we love to eat. I could skip most fast food for the rest of my life and be just fine. However, If I get around kettle cooked potato chips,,, Ya gotta find some will power and apply it when needed. However, if you have 1000 calories available for the day, get on down to your favorite fast food place and…

We get Yorkshire, PG Tips, Typhoo, Builder and Barry's here is the US. There is a store called World Market that carries them. I like the British teas because they have a much heartier flavor than the US brands. I supposed that's because ours is blended for iced tea and you're is blended to be drunk hot. I love tea both…

Brooke-Bond Red Label. It's a very common Indian tea that is imported to the US from Canada. It's a rich, strong, black tea that brews fast and stands up to milk and sugar or Splenda. There is nothing delicate or nuanced about the flavor, it's hearty and substantial like what you'd expect from an Irish or English breakfast…

I do exactly the same thing. I plan on having 20% or more of my daily calories available for my evening snack. I normally go for a savory like plain yogurt, vegetables and spicy crackers, ham and Swiss on rye crackers, or a light sandwich. Sometimes I'll go for sweet, peaches in light syrup, light ice cream or even a…

I have not been nor, will I ever be a gym rat. However, there are lots of other things one ca do to keep active. I've come to love swimming with my grandson and gardening. I know that you can't play in the gym pool with your grandson or get into the rotation for trimming the roses but, it works for me. I also love to read…

I've had to get rid of my 3XL shirts. I'm now officially a 2XLT kind of guy! I don't have as many shirts but, I do like 'em smaller!

Well, one of the best inventions for modern man IMHO is bags of frozen vegetables and other foods that you can nuke and eat. If I have a microwave and a grill, or access to one (in a park maybe?) I'm good. You will spend cash on charcoal though.

Wow! Very impressive to All! I'm down 36 lbs, will add pictures.

I ate just over 3000 but, I played lots of games and such and burned just over 1300. My net for the day was 1736 which is 64 calories in the green. It;s all good!

Well done.

For me, there are certain foods that I'm just better off not having around me. These include real pizza (as opposed to kid pizza), fried chicken, peanuts and, brownies. Oddly enough, I can control potato chips, chocolate and, even ice cream just fine even though I'm crazy about them too. Take chicken for example: if its…

I don't count everything. My favorite example is a salad bar: Stuff like lettuce and, most raw vegetables, come on,there is no way you could eat enough lettuce, spinach or kale to gain weight! Now stuff like croutons, cheese, salad dressing, bacon bits, boiled eggs, nuts and raisins; those have to be counted because that…

Also, if you really want it to work, you have to log everything from salad dressing to marshmallows. If you eat a biscuit, log the biscuit , the margarine you smeared on it and the spoonful of preserves on top of that. Biscuit is 50, marg is another 50 and the peach preserves are 35. So, that one biscuit is 135 calories.…

Yep, it does. I've been on since March, lost 33 lbs and will be under 300 lbs by month end. Annual membership is 0, dues are 0, special food cost is 0, and, meetings are 0. MFP is good stuff!

I had exactly the same thing happen to me. The key is persistence. Maintain a calorie deficit and exercise 3 times per week. It will take about a month or so but you'll break through.

I'm a firm, believer in gun control. That is, 6 out of 6 in the ten ring at 25 yards. I shoot a .357 mag now, an old Colt Trooper II. I know, I know, wheel guns aren't cool, revolvers aren't sexy, they take too long to reload... I figure that what you can do with 6 rounds is more important than how many times you can…

No. Watching may be normal but, it is not good. This is because it develops unrealistic expectations in a relationship. The viewer probably will not be able to look as good or do the things the actors are doing. Besides, it's a moral issue as well. Why should a married man fantasize about sex with another woman?
-
I know exactly what you mean. I have the same problem. Actually, I can lose weight but, it just seems to take me longer than others. The proof? I've actually lost 30 lbs since March. It's taken me about 4 months while it would take most folks about 3 months. I found my daily requirement based on sedentary levels and logged…

Well done, Sir,
-
Sounds right to me but, I'm the guy who should be asking you!
-
Figs, dates, and cheese seem to work well. Sometimes I need the protein from the cheese and other times its the fiber from the dried fruit.
-
Well done Sir! I'm trying to do about the same thing.

1. I'm down to size 44 jeans 2. My wife thinks I look better 3. I'm confident that I'll be able to go the distance and meet my goal 3.1. Even if it takes longer than a year to do it!

One thing that will help is to post your weight and goal on a banner. Then it shows up on every post. It really helps me be mindful of what I'm doing and why.
