  • I have done another 34.6 miles since my last check in, by walking, biking and hiking. Only 2.3 to go to reach my goal of 200. Yippee, boy did I guess that pretty close.
  • Since my last post I have added 48.9 miles, from walking, biking and my favorite hiking.
  • Free, except for the occasional parking fee. I enjoy walking, hiking and biking. Each week I try to find a new place to hike and that has been the best workout for me. I also have a small weight set I use at home, trying to tone my arms. In our garage, I also have a stationery bike and elliptical, I try to use them daily.
  • Absolutely, walking is my main exercise. I walk every morning and evening most days. I don't count regular daily walking just the walking I am doing for exercise. I also ride my stationary bike, but I truly enjoy walking and especially hiking.
  • I tried updating last weekend and it wouldn't let me. so since my last update, I added another 46.45 miles, which includes walking, biking and my favorite hiking. Even though hiking adds the mileage slower, it is sure a great workout. I love this challenge and I think I am right on track to make my goal of 200. Yippee

  • I would love to know how it works. I am still rather new to all this and I didn't even know what FitBit was. However before I spent that much money I would love how much of a difference it is. I use free apps on my iphone to track my exercise, biking walking and hiking. I don't count my regular walking around, cleaning or…

  • I am in, I didn't see this before the start of the month so I hope I am not too late. I have been walking every morning and evening and try riding the bike most weeks as well. I am also working on a mileage goal, so the biking really helps. We are also trying to hike as least once on the weekend. This weekend was an extra…
  • Adding my mileage for the weekend. Saturday I did another 8 by walking 2 and biking 6, and today I walked for a mile in the morning before our 6 mile hike in the afternoon to the top of the ridge and back down again. I thought going up was hard but coming down was just as hard, especially on the knees. I hope everyone is…
  • I love hiking and we just got back into it. We go as a family on the weekends now plus my husband and I do a separate hike every other Friday that he is off. It really does burn calories. I live in Southern California and we have plenty of hiking trails in Orange County in the Wilderness Parks and also around Los Angeles.…
  • I completed 8 miles today, 2 walking and 6 biking, so now I have 192 to go for the month.
  • Hello, I am a newbie here. So I hope I did this right. I am going to set a goal of 200 mile for myself. I walk each morning and evening, plus I try riding my stationary bike at least 4-5 times a week, and we just got back into hiking at least once each weekend. Hopefully by setting my goal, it will help me achive it or…
  • I usually weigh in on Wed and Sat, so far in 6 weeks I have been lucky on keep seeing it go down. I am down 16.4, but tomorrow is another weigh in for me, so I am hoping for more. I didn't measure when I started, but I did a couple of weeks ago and haven't done it again since. I think I will do that more on a monthly…
  • Yummy, those look so good.
  • "Salmon stirfry with broccoslaw and edamame, served with a mango, lime, chilli and corriander salsa" I would love that recipe, it looks so good. We had Grilled Salmon last night.
  • Made this today and loved it. Thanks for sharing

  • great, I am going to be adding that app, thanks
  • I have been trying to find some low calorie recipes for dressing as well, so I will be trying the Balsamic with a bit of olive oil and Dijion and fresh garlic. I will play around with it so I can put in the less amount of oil I need. I am not a hugh fan of olive oil, so I get the one with the lighter taste. That is similar…
  • Hi, my name is Tina, a wife of 22 years to a wonderful husband, mother of two - a son 16 and daughter 19. All three are helping to keep me motivated. I am new to the message boards and this group. I joined MFP 4 weeks ago and have already lost 10 pounds, looking to lose another 77.
