I find that dry goods go really far. Buy up bags of beans, rice, barley, etc. Also keep in mind that economical is not just a function of the price you pay at the register. It's also in waste avoidance - so frozen veggies and dry goods can help out there too. Eggs are an excellent source of cheap protein. I try to replace…

I'm sure there's different levels of what is acceptable to different people. But if I'm at my locker and someone else is 2 feet away, completely nude, applying lotion and generally minding their own business... it doesn't bother me one bit. I'm STILL in the army. We didn't have shower curtains in our showers several of the…

HOW did you make it through junior high and high school? We didnt even have shower curtains in our locker rooms. I'm not annoyed with your or anything. It's something more like pity. Like...oh wow? That must suck...having to feel uncomfortable with very basic societal norms.
-
I wouldnt mind it in the shower, because we have about 12 of them. But in my gym they do it in the toilet stalls...of which there are 3. So at the 430 rush hour, it's not the best.

Weigh yourself daily and you'll see fluctuations like this all the time. My 1 month weight graph is all over the place from 125 to 131. Yesterday I was 129.4 and this morning I'm 127.2. There are numerous reasons for this - sometimes I am very swollen and retaining a lot of inflammatory water weight from intense lifting. I…

Yes. A time and a place. A time...like after a shower. A place...like in a locker room.

TEN FEET?!?!? Does anyone even GO to your gym? I don't think I've ever had a ten foot radius ANYWHERE in my gym. This is an exceptionally ridiculous requirement that seems overly indulgent. Use an empty studio or stretch at home...

Right? I mean a lot of people might not notice how banged up these machines are, if they're just doing light cardio...but if you're doing intervals or any kind of challenging runs it really makes a difference. Did you think I just WANTED to be all up in your kool-aid? Nah, I have a fitness related reason for almost every…

That is the worst. If you want to have a photo shoot, go do that. I'm trying to get in and out and on with my life.

I have a favorite treadmill and I don't really care about your so-called personal space. I'll be putting at least 4-5 miles on it, so I need one that isn't wonky.

Because the economic drivers that would precipitate such a change won't happen overnight and massive business transformations take a significant amount of time
-
that's likely the case, but that would take a LIFETIME... and currently 87% of Americans arent eating enough vegetables. So I think we would be really hard pressed to feed everyone, if even a small percentage started shifting habits
-
I know guys are busy arguing about whether or not you're gonna die for the disgusting amount of meat you eat, but I hear these guidelines and recall from recent reports that our American food system will not currently support these guidelines if more people were to suddenly start following them. Any thoughts on that?…

http://www.jtsstrength.com/articles/2015/05/14/when-to-eat-delicious-food-and-when-to-avoid-it/ There's a theory that eating bland foods will help with hunger spikes and binges during a cut. More info in the linked article.

I would suggest you revise your goal to 10 pounds and lose no more than 1 pound a week for 10 weeks before shifting to maintenance. If you already have a good base, then maybe you can cut longer since you don't require as much effort to increase your mileage. What is your current base / volume? What is your goal time? What…

THIS. I cut during the first 1-2 months of my training last year and it was painful and awful, but I did it. Then maintenance. It did wonders for my knees. I'm doing the same thing now.

That's actually a great option. Do XF or OTF have any rules against Classpass?

None of this is characteristic of my "globogym" But I have friends who do Orange Theory and love it. I dont know anyone that prefers one over the other.

Those are empanadas, obviously. It does always make me laugh, when you guys say pasties. Just like when I talk about my pants...

True Story: I wear pasties all the time. I hate bras. I go completely without or wear pasties

Congratulations?

Even italian brands are vanity sizing now. It's INSANE. I have size 38 clothing that is made in Italy (Pinko, Moschino) and there's just no way it's legit. I wear 0s in almost everything. When I was at my thinnest, I struggled to find clothes that fit at all.

For me if affects performance and fatigue, but doesn't hurt my weight loss if I'm within calorie goals
-
For me, I mix it up all the time...so it's more *categories* than foods greens (spinach, romaine, arugula, spring mix) - I try to stay away from mixes with red lettuces, since they wilt and rot faster fruits - usually a few bananas for smoothies, whatever is in season and on sale, plus berries for quick snacks meats - I…

If I don't eat back my exercise calories, I lift/run like garbage the next day and my athletic performance suffers. I consistently eat mine back and lose or maintain successfully, depending on my goals at the time.

Ephedra (in Ripped Fuel) is not Ephedrine (in Brock Aid) and neither of them are Phentermine, which is in Fen-Phen (with Fenfluramine). Pharmaceutical grade Fen-Phen was banned due to cardiac risk, some which led to death.
-
I would just broadly say "amphetamines" here because "methampehetamine" is something very specific, from a pharmacological, social and legal perspective. Recently, there's been a combi drug of Topamax / Phentermine that is FDA approved for weight loss (on market in 2012). It's only schedule IV. Phentermine is also Schedule…

I'm not sure that will help since baking powder IS baking soda and cream of tartar with a little starch added for preventing clumping. I think it was just the sheer amount of chemical leaveners required for this recipe. Maybe I should stick with less dense quick breads that don't require as much or maybe just experiment…

No, I'm not using any boxed mixes. When I say "quick breads" I'm talking simply about no-knead recipes that don't require yeast.
