  • Hi! I have been running for twenty years. I run a few races a year and have a female running group that I run with every weekend. We LOVE running. I am signed up for Nike 1/2 in Oct and Berkeley 1/2 in Nov. I love to talk about it too. Please add me if you like.
  • I am 5'10 and about 165. Med. boned and aiming to lose between 10 - 15 lbs to reach my goal and the weight I feel most comfortable at. In my younger years/ pre-pregnancies I was 145 lbs which felt great but 150/155 is more realistic now that I am 40 ish and must have some treats and wine every now and then. I think every…

  • I can relate to this! I am just about 10 - 15 pounds from my goal. Have been for years. Thanks for the tips. I think it is just pure discipline and deprivation. ;( Hard but necessary. Then a lot of working out to not gain back and more deprivation.
  • Hi! I want runner friends too. I live in San Francisco and run many 1/2 marathons a year. Next up Nike and Berkeley. I have a pretty faithful weekend running group and run a few times during the week at my gym - near work if I have a race coming up. I am also about 10-11 min miler but would love to increase my speed by…
  • Hi! I am a runner too and sign up for at least 4 runs a year. I have two half marathons coming up in the Fall...San Fran Nike in Oct and Berkeley half in November. My goal is to be lighter so I can run faster! I would also like to train for a marathon but i cant even think of it until i can get this weight off.…
  • Hal Higdon is the plan Easy way to achieve...run 3 short runs and one long run a week until you reach at least 10 - 11 miles. 2 weeks prior to race shave down your long run. Good luck - you will do great
  • Congratulations. I have run over 20 1/2 marathons. I trained for a marathon and then got very sick right before - last year. It is still in my bucket list. I burn out as well - usually after two back to back 1/2 marathons (within a month of each other). I have learned to allow myself to rest and stop running for a bit. Do…
  • I have a pair of white jeans and a pair of fitted cargo pants - in addition to an entire winter work wardrobe. I am determined to get in the pants by my sons bday end of august and the work wardrobe in the fall.
  • pure protein like eggs, tuna very helpoful for recovery and keeping you full. And lots of water.
  • I go at lunch a few times a week. On the days I plan to go - I wait to take a shower and then take it after my work out. I also find people to meet there or go with so that helps to get me out of my work seat. I pay a lot of $$ for mine too - so I want my moneys worth. on the weekends - i run outdoors with a group of…
  • I work full time and have two kids - 8 yrs old and 5 yrs old. 1. During the week: I joined a full service gym near work and aim to go to the gym 3x a work week. Sometimes I can go more, sometimes one time only. The gym has towels, shampoo, etc etc. so i dont have to bring anything but gym clothes and new under garment. :)…
  • Here are some reminders (for us both!) 1. Allow yourself to have some fun - but continue to track it 2. Exercise! By yourself - or get an exercise group together and strive to work out hard at least sat or sun. If you can do both great - that gives you some extra calories to work with. Run, Hike, Walk anything for as long…
  • I try to run 3-4 days a week for short runs. If I am training for a race I get a long run in on the weekends.
  • if really early - just cafe and a banana. if later in the am - then I might have an egg and toast or peanut butter and banana. also depends on how long I plan to run. If my run is going to be over an hour I need food in my belly.
  • im interested too

My neighbor has been doing this for 6 months and she has lost about 15 lbs. the way ours works is... 6 days a week: low carb, no desserts, no over eating. Try…
