Can I sneak back in? I did the challenge in November and December, but have lost my mojo since. Tomorrow is my 3 yr anniversary on MFP, and almost the start of Lent so that seems as good a time as any to kick-start and try to lose the last 6lbs. Wk6 D1 done today. I've slipped a bit against the schedule, I should actually be starting Wk7 now, but I've started a running class which means I can only run two other nights (the running class is starting from the beginning again) I'm without child are for the next week and a half too, so won't be able to get out. W2 d2 completed. The runs feel long, but then so do the walking segments. I somehow managed to miss the cue for the first run, but ran the last minute to (almost) make up for it. Just peeked ahead to Wk3. 3 minutes??

Hi there. New here, having just done Wk2D1 today. Planning to go out again on Thursday and Saturday, with Zumba tomorrow. The transition from wk1 to wk2 wasn't as horrible as I thought.

Ik ben, mede dankzij dit vraag, net begonnen met hardlopen. Ik gebruik de C25K app van Zenlabs (gratis) en Endomondo. Ik kan naar mijn eigen muziek luisteren. Wk 1 compleet, heb ook ingeschreven voor een beginnerscursus.

Ben geen Nederlander (maar woon hier al meer dan 20 jaar), wel redelijk actief. Mijn dagboek is een mix van Nederlands en UK/US producten. Ik gebruik MFP sinds 2011, en ben +/- 38kg afgevallen. Ik wil nog een paar kilo, alleen de laatste paar gaan wat moeizamer dan alle andere samen.

Cooking (unless you fry) won't change the calorie content, but it may change the weight, so check whether the value per weight is for uncooked or cooked weight. So 100g of dry rice has a different calorie value to 100g of cooked rice.

I was 38 and 42 when I had mine. Older than average, but I had trouble free pregnancies and have two healthy children.

Only if you eat 50 calories over maintenance. If you're below, you won't gain, you might just lose slower.

I don't bother logging lettuce and cucumber. Pretty much everything else I do. I don't get all anal about it though, I use rough estimates (apart from starchy veg like potatoes, sweetcorn etc which I weigh). Calories are average values, and the difference between 10 cals and 20 cals is not going to halt your weight loss.…

I don't bother logging calories for lettuce and cucumber. Pepper, carrots and celery I would enter per piece (ie 1/2 carrot, stick of celery).

It's suggested you work out 5 or 6 days out of 7, but not to take more than one rest day at a time.

It could be too much fibre, or at least too much of the foods containing fibre which also cause gas. Gas will give you a distended stomach.

I'm on L3D7. I've seen results, but not miracles. As others have said, it's only 20 mins, free on you tube, and you will see results, whatever your level of fitness - what's to lose.

A few of them are available on You Tube (30ds is, for example), so might be worth having a look/try to see which one you get on best with.

I've been doing the 30Ds and am almost finished, so the last couple of evenings I've done the first round of L1 6week 6 pack afterwards. Even with only doing 15 minutes, I have more muscle pain than I do from the Shred, so I'm guessing it's doing some good.

Alicia, we're fairly similar, except I'm almost 20yrs older than you. Feel a bit of a fraud being here though, can't quite match 'not that heavy' with my body. Started here 2 yrs ago at 109 kg, am currently 71, I'd like to lose 3 more but have been yo-yo-ing around 70 for a couple of months now.

Also try doing extra stretching at the end of the workout - the cool down Jillian does is pretty short.
