insanity is a real intense workout program and ur muscle will be retaining water for repairs... just insure ur drinking plenty, eating high protein every meal and in a week or 2 the weight will melt off (not so much a scales loss but an inches loss)
-
i had been doing the c25k for months then one evening a mate suggested a run on a work break... 6.7 miles later we got back to the depot... 2 days later 10 miles!!! mind over matter people u gotta push yaself :)

jodye2926 - on my next PT session wednesday im ganna ask my instructor what the test is called so i can let ya all know and can research it :)x

just change it to a lb loss per week. u dont have to eat like a rabbit on 1200 cals a day. thats just plain scary im near double that!
-
calipers also used so the fat loss is bang on, so with a 3kg fat loss but only 1kg real terms weight loss seems machine must be somewhere about right. i am working out at a very high intesity and have been for 8 or so months.
-
you can change it... go into settings and have a snout about... to get up to 1700 cals i had to set mine to "maintain" even tho im still losing. i guess i just feel better when MFP doesnt tell me off for eating too much lol
-
if it helps it helps every time i have the same test done at the PT session every 6 weeks i up my cals accourdingly. my last one said i had a daily requirement of just over 2300 cals so i shoot for that figure and do at least 500 cal exercise 5 times a week. over the course of the year ive lost 48 pounds and gain a fair…
-
because i had a test done where u have some electrodes attached to u and it takes readings. i have one done every 6 weeks in PT session... the last one was done 2 weeks ago and those were the results
-
muscle gain can be achieved even with a defisit. last pt assesment i had lost 3kgs of fat and gained 2kgs lean muscle mass - just make good food choices - high protein in every meal
-
your need every one of those cals for insanity....lol.. great workout x
-
if it helps i have gone from 1200 cals a day 8 months ago to now an av of 2000-2300 - i do a mix or weights and cardio. try n find out ur bmr and that will guide u to what u should be eating. i had the machine test and figure for me to maintain currently is 2300 cals!! im 4foot9 1/2
-
not sure where u are from nut i avoiod the "cost" aspect by shopping at times when stores are due to close and end up buying at least 4 times the stuff i would at regular prices :)
-
found some i had taken from the start of my journey and my god i couldnt believe 1 how fat i really was and 2 how far id come... great feeling :)

Eggs! So versatile and packed with protein... Breakfast of kings (and queens) :)

It's because building muscle as well as burning fat. I had. PT assessment the other week and lost 3kgs of fat, gained 2nd muscle hence only a 1kg scale loss but many many inches. Stick with it :)

This is why I love this site getting real people's real findings. I will be guinea pig for the next few weeks making sure I get my 2300 cals (minus 500ish) and see if a/body gets tighter or b/lose any weight as I've plataued

Just saw one thread about a peanut butter banana smoothy... Think I've found my answer :)

My legs are my trouble area and still have plenty to lose there. I'm just hoping plodding along with the weight and cardio mix will get to where I wanna be. Ur doing fab. I can't stress enuff the difference adding strength resistance to ur training will do. Seems to keep stretch marks down x
-
Bust out those weights ladies - really works :)
-
Vallemic - nice one x mamma - I go to the gym 5 times a week and do weights every day for about 45mins to an hour... I do 2 body parts a day and if one is still sore skip it and do another x
-
Yeah it's just finding a way of increasing cals without increasing bad foods x
-
I used to hit everything same day but found time the issue, now I do a 3 day cycle with a rest day as and when I need it. Had 2 this week so tomorrow will start mid way thru my 3 workout cycle. Seems to work well as I hit each muscle group harder knowing they will get a rest :)
-
Under today well over yesterday - my treat day of fish n chips :)
-
I used to hate running but over the last year have built up from running a meter or 2 to having done a 10 miles run around Layton ad surrounding areas lol. Also do biking climbing and weights x

Good stuff... Think Greek yogart (fage pot is 97 cals), babybell light about 50 cals, cottage cheese large pot about 200-300 cals but does a few meals, turkey/chicken breast, any fruit n veg oh and nuts are a super food x
-
