I'm short, too, but I really just think you need to eat more than 1200 (aka some of your exercise calories)... and give it more time. Like a month. Workouts = water retention, etc.

I haven't had real stock since my mom used to make it many years ago and had to know the difference between "broth", "stock", and now, apparently, "soup"... not a chef; I'm a scientist who likes to cook sometimes, lol  Stock = "bone broth": viscous; cooks for 16-18 hours (beef, lamb) or 6-8 hours for chicken & uses…

If you do things properly (weighing food, trying to make better food choices when you can, drink adequate water, etc.) and start to lose you will see WHY it's worth it. Your mind will adjust (its sometimes a slow process- weeks, months), but you will start to see that eating whatever/whenever will seem less appealing than…

Yeah- Munchkins... I could eat a small box by myself in the car on road trips.

Local shops: campfire, grasshopper, mallowmar or devil dog. Or maybe vanilla soft serve w chocolate sprinkles?? So hard to decide! Commercial: Haagen Dazs Belgian chocolate Homemade: any!

If boxes say "as prepared", then that's accounting for the milk, etc. Just make sure that you use a scale to weigh the "extras", and to weigh your serving portion. :-)

Those dried, sugary mangoes from Costco!

Plug your nose if you have to & chug some milk daily! I'm also not a milk fan & hate those huge pills, but chocolate milk isn't so bad. In fact those are tasting too sweet to me so I'm planning to go back to "plug & chug" soon

How long have you been working out? Are you trying/losing weight? It might take awhile to see results... if I had to guess, I think it took me a few months of deficit & C25K to see obvious improvements. Keep up the good work!

You need a plan, so you know what to do to- does your gym give you a free training session or fitness evaluation? Start there. Make a schedule for yourself to keep yourself accountable. Try out some classes if your gym has them - it takes the guesswork out. Don't think about other people watching you. Use headphones!

When I feel like I'm in a rut, I tend to buy a new gym top or socks! I just decided to toss my gym leggings/capris & buy all new ones- good brands @ TJ maxx & I'm so happy!

How are you doing with fats? (Are you avoiding things like oil, avocados, nuts, butter, etc?)
-
Mushrooms (though still picky about which types and only in some recipes), sweet potatoes, and cottage cheese (I only like Breakstone 4%). And lemon flavored things I like now, too.
-
I like the unflavored Quest powder - I think that one might be close to what you're looking for?? I get mine at Vitamin Shoppe (US).

Private, medium-sized gym: $59/mo Pros: Staff is great/happy/responsive/friendly :-) Amenities (sauna, steam room, clean showers with toiletries! and real doors, REAL blow dryers, towels, large lockers, shake/smoothie bar, several classes I LIKE and actually go to) Music is rarely loud NICE ventilation/cool upstairs where…

I know what it's like... so sorry for your loss... Sounds like she had a wonderful life! It's always heart-breaking to lose a waggly-tailed friend :-(

Only 2 grams of fiber- there is nothing suspect about ingredients (unless they have changed from this pic on the web), other than "natural flavor". (I don't think there is any gluten, either.) I haven't tried these yet, but I want to!

Some housework really can wait. Your health (physical & mental) cannot

Sour cream (sometimes with lime juice), dill & chives, garlic, S&P... or sour cream mixed with hot sauce or BBQ sauce. At home/work: I put my salad in a mason jar or bowl, put "dressing" on top, cover & shake it up!

Can't wait to finish this!

Planning ahead (buying food for meal prep from a grocery store) and eating out less will help. Also- for eating out it REALLY helps if you can plan what you're going to eat ahead of time by looking for the menu online; a LOT of places still are not required and/or have sketchy nutritional info online...It's not too…

popcorn, fruit, cheese, turkey sandwich (not assembled, but pre-weighed!)... chocolate in the cooler :-)
-
FYI... bought some the other day @ Whole Foods. The bin type doesn't weigh enough to register on the scale! So I bought Bragg's in the plastic container. It tastes like chicken. I remember it tasting like cheese, so I'm kinda re-thinking adding it to my popcorn

Don't reheat it?? I like my leftovers cold on top of salad or add some mayo or Greek yogurt or even sour cream & maybe some dill & green onion for cold chicken salad. Or just add salsa to it & plop into a tortilla!
-
Agree- Quest MultiPurpose Mix. Also makes delicious waffles/pancakes!!! Sooo glad I bought this. I get mine @ VitaminShoppe.
-
Tastes flat on it's own (no fat, no sugar, no salt to yum it up)... but I will use occasionally in waffles/smoothies/with fruit or jam on something. Kinda how I feel about almond milk- keep some handy in case of apocalypse food shortage, lol.

My charge hr 2 does not register any steps if I keep that have on the handle- so I also push it one-handed whenever I can :-)

I research IBD (not too familiar with IBS), but I would suggest staying away from sugar substitutes altogether, if you aren't already. They are in a lot of foods, too- low calorie yogurts & diet sodas (ok, pretty much almost anything that says "diet".) They can sometimes make you feel worse if you already have belly issues…
