  • OMG- that must've been terrifying! If you don't mind me asking- did a Dr. tell you it was ok (dieting), but then it turned out it wasn't ok? I know sometimes you can do everything "right" and still bad things happen, but this is terrible. Hope you and the little one(s) are doing well now
  • Yes, it's a total pain. I try to write all the weights down and figure out the serving size (as in how many calories do I WANT each serving to be; not always based on what the recipe calls for) before I put it in Recipe Builder.
  • Yes, its a small convention oven. I do love my air fryer, though I can totally live without it. My oven heats up the entire kitchen (its old & needs to be replaced soon), and I hate it. It works well for 1-2 small servings of most things you'd want baked/roasted/"fried". If I get a convection oven I would give my air fryer…
  • SO I just watched both of the videos... I could totally eat what she ate in a day! Not sure how much I was really eating at my "peak" weight several years ago, but probably a good 3,000-4,000 on weekends. Only once or twice did I actually feel sick while eating that much (over several years; not daily but definitely on a…
  • Not a doctor, BUT it's likely the steroids. Keep taking your meds, but just know that these are potent drugs and they can definitely keep you puffy (fluid retention), unfortunately. It also makes you retain sodium, and lose potassium. Keep at it- NO need to do anything ridiculous!- just keeping weighing and logging, and…
  • Weight loss surgery, drugs like cocaine/meth, ADD/ADHD (?) meds; diseases like IBD/UC or Crohn’s, cancer, anorexia/orthorexia, stress, PTSD, lots of other conditions... any number of real things, or not. But HCG or steroids?? Unlikely.
  • Keeping busy/hobbies, exercise and logging & weighing EVERYTHING definitely help me! As soon as I stop,it’s only a matter of time before I g back to my bad habits of eating everything g I want. It’s not easy, but it can be done!!
  • Pastries/homemade & bakery goodies. Just CANNOT only eat a "portion"- if I know I can get my hands on it, I will eat it all. I just can't buy them or eat them (if I'm at work or an event where they are out on a buffet). It makes me sad, though, because I LOVE baking. If I make something now, I have to not eat any and wrap…
  • You will get there!! You can add me  I've been successful here and almost got to my goal... then I got off-track (stopped logging, ate whatever, pretty much stopped exercising, BUT I'm back!) Also- do NOT let that deter you... Once you have the skills you need to succeed, you can always get back into the swing of…
  • I have some on my upper arms- totally visible when wearing tank tops/swimsuits, sleeveless dresses, etc. I've had them since I was 13 (growth spurt), so they are really old, but still visible. Tanning makes it more obvious, too, so I had a Vivace consultation at a very reputable medi-spa. It's a radio frequency…
  • Natural Calm. It's a powdered supplement- don't overdo it, though, bc it will act as a laxative @ higher doses. Just add some to water an hour or so before bed. Works great.

  • Is this ALL you are eating? Every day?? This is not enough food (I'm guessing; I don't really know how much 100 grams of cooked (?) rice actually is), seriously lacking in overall nutrition- you need to eat a balanced diet (protein, vegetables, other fruits, "eat the rainbow", etc.) Everyone seems really hung up on, well,…
  • You can weigh daily/every other day and use a trending app- there are several options (Happy Scale, Scelta are 2 I’ve tried). These apps are not really useful if you only weigh once a week.
  • I sautéed the chopped stalks in a little evoo with 2 cloves of garlic & a little ham, added the chopped leaves, red pepper flakes, and a can of white beans. So good! It cooked reasonably fast. I do love spinach but never tried chard bc im really lazy... the rinsing, separating & chopping on a week night is not my favorite…
  • Eggs/bacon, protein pancakes or cereal- I could eat “breakfast” foods all day😀
  • I also think part of that may be that they are preparing for surgery and nutrition (home-cooked protein/vegetables vs fast food) is really important to maximize your immunity and prevent infection. Source: Am scientist.
  • Mine is open, but just started logging/opened diary again this week! Anyone can add me :-)
  • Figs? yum Baklava
  • There are a lot of incorrect entries in the database. I try to use the scan function on my phone whenever possible for items with a barcode. That being said, if sodium is important for your health maintenance, then you will need to be careful when selecting the correct item. Google gave this info... Just look for the entry…
  • Thanks!! I will try to make it tonight :)
  • Hello! Halp... send more friends! :) I'm 43, single, and MFP needs to be be hobby again. Just started a 6 week challenge at my gym to get back on track. Was bored/broke and slightly anxious with OrangeTheory but considering the consequences, I may need to go back! :p (Was in great shape, just never felt like I had a…

  • Last night, Budget Bytes recipe... Hearty Black Bean Quesadillas (but I used far less* cheese so I could eat more; this was bad bc without cheese, the tortillas (Tumaro's; 60 cal; Let's Skip the Sandwich Wraps from grocery store deli area) don't stay closed well). Still yummy! I have made these before with roasted sweet…
  • MFP, scale, (exercise). I cannot be held accountable for weight loss or even maintenance without these things. I know bc I just got lazy for the last few months, and it shows. Exercise is required for me, but I started losing without it. Meal prep helps, but then when I can't, I get pretty anxious about it, so I try but go…
  • I started last year when one opened in my area. Things I LOVE: calorie burn, I KNOW I'm working as hard as I can, the rowing, feel amazing the next day, sleep like a baby, overall life improvement! Things I don't love: the schedule (so even if I could get into a class before work, I can't shower (bc 26 people and only 2…
  • Also helpful to relax muscles (like Epsom salt in a bath) and for constipation. I know this bc I buy it (Natural Calm) for my dad w belly problems & a tremor (not Parkinson's, but looks similar) and for a friend who has chronic pain (car accident years ago and works in construction).
  • The Aldi Elevation bars have 15-20g protein- depends on the type I think- they have a few different ones. (At my work desk right now I have a Cookie Dough bar that has 15 g protein/200 cal and is just like Balance bars.) Tastes the same to me.
  • In bc I also want deets from normal people on this!
  • Yes to customized kitchen renovation/properly organized pantry/full stock of small quantities of fresh organic spices & lots of professional quality tools/pots/pans, etc. And cooking lessons!! I’d just hire someone to clean up, lol! (I can cook but love learning.) If it had to be food: wild caught seafood, organic berries…
