I had all but given up on my desire to regain the fitness mojo I lost after I had my last munchkin. I was going to accept that I would be fluffy for the rest of my days. 2 months ago, an acquaintance asked me out of the blue if I wanted to do a Rugged Maniac 5k with her in April of this year. At first, I thought she'd…

How's everyone's weekend going?

You are such an inspiration!

I'm doing 10 lbs mini goals, too! I'm close to meeting my next one. Congrats!

Totally kicked my patooty in the gym today. Leg day & cardio. I was a bit nervous heading over to the free weights. Dunno why. But I got it done. I learned that I'm no good on a bike. I've tried upright, recumbent, and spin, and nothing suits. (I didn't like the bike back in my fit days, either.) I'm glad there are tons of…

Happy New Year! My fitness goal for this year is 365 days of tracking eats and exercise. I hope everyone has had a lovely first day of 2017.

Hello, everyone! I managed to lose a half a pound despite not tracking and not working out. Honestly, I really asked myself a lot whether or not any of the bazillion treats we received were worth it. Most of the time I said, "No, thanks." :p Today I'm back at it with tracking and exercise! Gotta keep the scale moving in…

Hi, Corrie! One of my children was diagnosed with EDS a couple of years ago, so I can imagine a little what challenges you face daily! The good news is that plenty of people have been able to lose weight by changing how they eat alone. My thoughts are with you!

This week leading up to Christmas is a lot crazier than I thought it would be. I finally gave myself permission to not be 100% on target with all my fitness stuff. Still eating alright, but I've missed some workouts. Monday I expect to be back in it all the way.

Passengers. It'll be nice to see a new sci-fi that isn't SW or Trek. (Though I like those, too!) Crossing my fingers that it's as good as the hype!
-
4 weeks? Good golly! The score was gorgeous.

Did Michael Giacchino score any of the new Trek films? There were a couple of moments in Rogue One where the score was really reminiscent of the Trek films. I thought it was a good, solid stand alone/backstory, though the planet hopping cuts in the beginning weren't as seemless as I would have liked. I expected that it was…

Thank you!

I love "middle agents"! Ha! To answer your question, in order to log calories for strength training, you have to search for strength training under the cardiovascular category rather than the strength category. I hope that helps!

Sunday is always a rest day for me as part of my faith. I'm especially grateful for today's rest after the crazy busy week I've had! :p

Sunflower seeds & Reeses Peanut Butter Cups!

Completed the first week of C25k! :relaxed:

Oh! I'm so doing that now. Thank you!

I'm losing while eating 1600 to 1800 a day. I could not subsist on 1200! I am lightly active already (crazy busy SAHM of 6 kids; no soap operas and bon bons for me) and add to that at least an hour of gym time a day. From losing weight after previous pregnancies, I found that pretty much how you lose the weight is how…

Saturday is a run and some HIIT. Sunday is always rest day. I had my flexible nutrition day today, so I'll be on target with eats all weekend.

I've been taking maximum strength acid reducers (double the recommended dosage) to control pretty severe heartburn that I've been dealing with for nearly 8 years. I thought it was merely my chubby belly fat squishing my stomach, but in the three weeks since I changed my eating habits and starting exercising regularly, I…

@Tattoedmom44 and @Sumiblue You ladies are such an inspiration! Thank you for sharing your progress. It helps me stay committed!

Fantastic!!

I have a similar issue. My final pregnancy was really rough, and then I just never lost the baby weight and then some. Before that I was a hardcore gym rat and very fit--active my whole life. That's what I see in my mind's eye. Even though I've been very overweight for the last seven years, I'm still constantly surprised…

So awesome! Thank you for sharing! I'm on a similar journey myself (5'4", highest weight 223 lbs, current 214 lbs a couple weeks in, goal for now is 145 lbs). :D

Sadly I actually had 4. We had a 30 minute wait, and food service was pretty slow (the place was insanely busy). I was famished and I decided that I was going to have a straight up free meal. (Wasn't going to track it; had a change of heart the next day.) I was already pretty full by the time our salads arrived, but I…

Amazing!!!

Totally on target today. Got a good upper body workout done as well as some time on the elliptical. Eats are where I want them to be. Now onto family night with hubs and kiddos. :D

Wow! You are an inspiration! And I'm totally going to think of my pounds lots in butter now. 28 sticks of butter sounds like so much more than 7 pounds! :D

Decided to indulge last night during date night with my husband. I finally tracked the meal, and nearly passed out! Not gonna do that again!
