Love, love, love Sookie. I thought the last book was the final book, and when I found out there was ANOTHER I was just too excited. Charlaine Harris created a great world in these books. Her other books don't come close to Sookie. I think she might be milking it by adding another last-last book.

I'm in the middle of "And the Waters Turned to Blood" by Rodney Barker. It's great if you're a science nerd and love learning about new, interesing creatures. It's also a great way to begin understanding the mess between science and politics and how it can affect the public.

You should try lots of nut butters. Grind up your own if you want. Almond, peanut, cashew... they're all about the same calories once they're all belended into a paste, but they have different health benefits. Check out the vitamins found in all your favorite nuts. Maybe you can make a nut blend and get all their healthy…

Kroger sells bags of frozen veggies with rice and noodles already in them. I like those a lot. Soup is good... just heat it slowly in a microwave. If you have an oven you can still cook. Baked chicken, veggie lasagna, roasted vegetables... You can always buy yourself an electric skillet. Those aren't too expensive, and…

Lol... I eat. But it's hard to eat, eat, eat when you're supposed to be not eating so much. Now I just read a book. Or take a bath. Or watch TV for hours. Or go outside and sit. Whatever makes you happy is a good way to relieve stress.

This is exactly right. The thigh and hips area is perfect for babies which is why women have such a hard time losing it. This kind of goes against the fact that the breast area is where weight is lost FIRST. I guess milk ducts are all the same regardless of the fat cells... or it's just unlucky.

I am also a college student with a meal plan... I tend to just "guess" (but overestimate when I can). Luckily my school has a large salad and sandwich bar as well as a stir-fry bar where they cook the food in front of you. As for the things out on the buffet line I guess for those. I never get the casseroles or things with…

Have you noticed that after you lose the pounds you get too excited and maybe sabatoge yourself? That's the problem I'm having. I lost 7 pounds (not even 10) and got very happy and started giving myself "gifts" like a cookie or ice cream or an extra slice of pizza. My calorie count has been high for the past week or so,…

Okay, I've gone another 7.6 miles. With another week left... maybe I can make it? Haha, no, probably not anywhere close to 60. We'll see where I land.

I would only warn you that tuna (and other fatty fishes) have high levels of mercury. I think it's because they can hold the mercury in their fat (ie: mercury is fat soluble?) so it in turns goes into your body. Look up the effects of mercury poisoning if you're curious... fun stuff. Personally I think eating too much fish…

I read somewhere (Cooking Light, I think) that the "white-wheat" breads are made with albino wheat which is what makes them appear white. I don't think that's the same as tricking people. I do agree, though. Look at the ingredients.

Stefilily, I don't know what Earthgrains you get but I know all their plain breads have 100 calories per slice. Earthgrains does make a sandwich thin (which tastes pretty floury to me, but a good choice if you're watching calories) but that's 100 caloires for the whole thing (so 50 calories for half of one). Arnold is good…

I looked it up because I was interested in the answer as well. I guess the takehome is if you're going to eat extra protein for muscle building increase water and calcium intake. "A common misconception about excess protein in the diet is that it can cause kidney damage; excess protein cannot cause kidney damage even…

I agree with SlimmingSarah. For me it's very difficult to say no to sweets. My willpower for anything sugar (chocolatey especially) is very low. I just make sure to eat small portions when I feel like I "need" to eat whatever sweet thing is there.

I'm up to 20.27 miles total now. Lacking on mileage this month. :/ It's not over though!

It's totally possible. Especially if you've been working out more than you normally would your body is probably adjusting to all that work it has to do adjusting calorie usage. If you do get your period before the 7th (like within the week) don't sweat it. If next time it comes up early again maybe go to the doctor.

Lol, I feel like I'm going to die WHILE they're passing through. Those things are insane.-- They should come with warning labels.

Lentils have tons of iron and they're so cheap.

You may be having blood sugar headaches. As in... you're not eating enough calories so you're blood sugar is low already, then if you add exercise to it you're aggravating it. Or something like that. I sometimes get headaches when I exercise too hard. (afterwards) or if I don't exercise for a while and then exercise like I…

I haven't been diagnosed IBS by a doctor, but I do have all the symptoms (so I feel maybe I can help.) I don't know if this has been said but I've seen results with adding bacteria to my diet. I buy a culture from Earth Fare for about 100 capsules for something like $11. You take one in the morning with a glass of water.…

On their website there is a "compare to milk" button. Type in silk coconut milk.

Now that I'm looking at their menu... don't get what I told you. AAA! Horrifying!

What's wrong with the dressing? It's just a vinegrette... there's probably something secretive lurking inside though. :/

Mixed grill is good. Just steak, potatoes, and peppers. It's a huge portion though. I think the apricot chicken is as well, but I've never had it. It probably has a lot of sugar.

I use stevia in the raw as well. It has dextrose (I think.. maybe erythritol) added which is a "chemical" (albeit from a plant) so I don't really consider it "natural." I've seen stevia plants sold at Home Depot which you could use to make your own extract if you wanted.

Water lubricates your insides and aids in digestion. If you're digesting easily.... you can figure out why that would mean weight loss. :)

++3.2 miles

I agree with the lotion 100%!! Ashy skin is not hot no matter how tight it is.

1.2 miles on the stair-stepper. That's 11/62

I've had a hard time with sugars as well. I love fruits and fruits have sugar. I had an apple once... a big on... 25 grams of sugar!! That was nearly my whole days worth (on mfp.) So I've decided that fruit sugars won't count (they will be logged, but ignored). I think the issue is added sugars such as splenda and stevia…
