Hello!! I’m happy to be “back on the train” even if it hasn’t necessarily left the station. I have been obese for a lifetime but lost 100+ lbs five years ago through lifestyle changes and diligently using MFP. Over the last five years, life has turned upside down and my weight settles right back where it was 5’ 10” and 290…

An Apple Watch for example tracks it already and adds the calories “earned” to MFP, so that’s my method (nurse)

The Science Vs podcast did this one recently. I love the show for its clever concept even tho I don’t always agree with their interpretation of the research. Essentially what they found was weight loss is calories in vs calories out (as we all know) and that people eat less on a restricted diet. Seems simple enough.…

I’ve been trying to restart, but doing it half assedly .. and I’m getting married soon, I intend to be 100% when income back from my honeymoon. This week my step mom is having a bilateral mastectomy.. not sure what that’s going to bring

I’m in... I lost significant weight before through the help and accountability I found in having like minded friends. Feels like starting over again.. and that’s tough. As embarrassing as it is, it must be done!

I’m a nurse as well, and dealing with regain after losing 100+ and then going through a big breakup and starting/finishing my masters... it’s embarrassing!

All you have is time,.. until you don't. Your choice how to spend it. Give it 90 days, promise

This is my boat... every day! I eat healthy, and cook at home, no fast food... but for the binging

Me too... it's been a rough year. I had previously lost 135, but gained 50. I'm back in the train and can use all the friends I can get.. it's good to know you're not alone with the struggle! Please feel free to add me

Happened to me this way too

I am a new user of Jawbone and was wondering how many of my steps as a nurse might actually be bed side movements. That being said, shouldn't we still be getting activity credit? That sounds like sarcasm, but I'm being serious, does it count as my active burn?

Absolutely wonderful, insightful, and inspiring. Your honesty and experience, life lessons and the journey you share are priceless.

Wow, truly amazing! My jaw dropped and I got teary eyed looking at your pics! Just incredible, I am so happy for you!

Hi! I'm 240 now, my highest was 295 and I'm working towards 175. I'm been using MFP regularly for 3 weeks now and I'm really getting the hang of it. I too would like to meet some people in my weight range and those who have been through it that can offer advice, guidance and support through life's ups and downs.
