Also same problem. Does anyone know if other fitness trackers are better with this? I am annoyed as I've recently bought my Blaze and these problems are re-occuring. It's not like they're new to this business, they should really have it sorted out. Particularly given what one of these trackers cost!

I'm a vegan. Any other vegans/vegetarians/pescatarians or those otherwise interested in veggie foods please feel free to add me here :)

Yes please! I'm Hannah from London UK

I'd love to spend the whole day posting you links but I am sure we are all more than capable of finding these papers if we are interested and right now I don't have the time to compensate for your laziness.

Sorry I have no intention on doing your google search for you but there are some good, peer-reviewed studies looking at lifestyle factors associated with different illness that you can find on google scholar or on PubMed. The China Study is the most well-known but methodologically poor. There are a number of studies out…

Some of these put you at greater risk than others. You can choose to be stupid about it or you can look at the evidence. Smoking causes cancer - we all know that - but we don't go shouting 'WELL ALL THESE OTHER THINGS DO TO' and ignore it from there because we know effect sizes matter. Extended exposure to hair colouring…

Well the good thing about science is that it's true whether you believe it or not. High meat consumption DOES increase your risk of cancer, heart-disease, dementia, bowel problems, type II diabetes, obesity and so on. You can keep meat in your diet and still be healthy but you can also be a smoker and be healthy. These are…

Hi, I am also a vegan. Can other vegans please add me so we can support each other :)

Oh you hot thing, you come here often? ;)

I get outraged when someone thinks my profile pic is hot or is trying to hit on me based on that picture, it's just WRONG!!!!

Oh no, mine starts with quick added calories!! I am gonna ignore that 1. Onions 2. Olive oil (I only use a teaspoon at a time though!) 3. Broccoli 4. Banana 5. Suma - TVP mince (it's soy protein) 6. Biona organic wholemeal pumpkin seed rye bread 7. Frozen peas 8. Soy Cappuccino 9. Spinach 10. White cabbage I don't think I…

I want to know mine but can't figure out how to find this out!

The shaming was in the addition at the bottom that said something like 'Summer is coming.. ughh.. just saying' or something like that. Without that notation it would've been absolutely fine. I wouldn't class that as fat-shaming BUT I don't think that belongs on the streets. I work in mental health research and that kind of…

that is incredible, so motivating! I have lost 20lbs too but nowhere near this big a difference!

I try to log everything. Even veggies add up - dark green ones aren't that bad but if you are like me and munch on sweet corn and carrots a lot they add up quickly. Also, logging them in makes your food diary look nicer and you wanna be proud of yourself when you look at it! This just reminded me that I snacked on a plum…

When I was a bit bigger I didn't get men harrassing me on the street. Now that I have lost about 20kg since last summer I get that again and I really, really hate it so much!

If you put enough tomato sauce on the base you don't need cheese on a pizza at all

I would keep eating the rainbow. Give it a week or two and you will feel great.

I find most of them repulsive but I do like chips/fries and snacks from time to time.

I think it sounds like you have some serious self-esteem issues. You shouldn't be asking this online, if you feel bloated and terrible with your weight, eat healthier, if not keep doing what you are doing.

Makes me miss Greece so much! Just the best, i.e. Greek salad (that is properly made with plenty of oil) is missing. I am drooling here!

Yep! Out of commone sense and respect for other people only eat peanut butter at home!

I have lived across the world and don't really know where I am from as I've moved so many times but here are some of the specialities of places I have lived in, who can guess what these places are? Deep-fried marsbar! These weird porridge-filled breads Stuffed wine leaves or dolmadakia Sunday roast Little skippy! Vegemite…

If you are in Australia then maybe consider offering a lot of fruit for your family to snack on. Teenage girls may be tricky but with kids it generally helps to include them in the process of chopping veg and cooking. Also, it is good to let them have a say in what they eat as well - I am not saying you should approve of…

I really like beetroot hummus.. Can't remember the brand name but there is one plain hummus I buy from Sainsbury's which is AMAZING! Anyway, I prefer homemade as it has a lot less oil in it.

In the UK I find Morrisons and Lidl to be cheapest for veg. They are far cheaper than my corner veggie store. I buy a lot of my veg frozen and some fresh. If I bought all fresh I wouldn't get much variety cooking for one. Also, freezer is your best friend for when you cook more as then you can freeze stuff and eat it later…

I studied from this same book during my first year at university
