The magnesium is helping my sleep in leaps and bounds-it's the only thing I can attribute it to. Yes, frustrating not to be able to "close out the day" on the IF day but I track separately anyway on my own spreadsheet so I'll still log on MFP but just not get worked up over the IF days when I get the "you didn't eat enough…

Welcome back!

Love mac nuts; fortunate to live in Hawaii where we can get them all the time and for pretty reasonable price. I find them more satiating than almonds.

I'm not strictly keto as of this week-doesn't seem to be working for me so I'm going to remain LCHF but up carbs to around 50g and go back to Intermittent Fasting which I've had success with before-this time plan to stick with it even after losing weight. Best of luck to everyone!

Welcome J9...Happy Monday everyone! For those interested, it is my first IF day today (in over 2 years). Last ate at 8pm last night, now 12:30pm have had: Coffee with splash of cream and Tea with splash of almond milk. Due to break - fast at 2pm with small snack. Then dinner around 6:30pm (salmon and veggies). Should come…

Thanks ladies for the acceptance! Here's my plan: 3 days of fasting from 7pm until at least 1pm to get an 18 hour fast, later if I can (I've done before so I know I can go to 3pm usually), remainder of day eat up to 500 calories of LCHF foods-50 grams carbs or under. Remaining days eat around 1500 calories LCHF. Welcome…

Hope everyone is having a good weekend thus far. I've made a decision about my WOE; as much as I love LCHF, it isn't working any more for me as a weigh loss regime. So, I'm going to go back to what did work for me, intermittent fasting. I will continue to eat lower carb, higher fat but will probably allow up to 50 g carbs…

Ghirardelli also makes some great dark chocs

All good advice above. I too find eating out not that difficult especially if I look at an online menu ahead and commit to what I will and won't eat. You might try a few trial runs before you head out just to have a successful experience under your belt before the real thing.

Sorry! It is frustrating. Good tips given above but you haven't lost three months...you've been working on improving your WOE, the tracking is unfortunate but your underlying WOE must have improved. Chin up gal!

Good job folks! Thanks for the encouragement ThinnerHill!

Good Monday morning ladies. Welcome to the newbies! Glad to hear (most) things are on track for everyone. Someone asked about Magnesium, I didn't take at first but was having hard night leg cramping so have started and it has improved. Make sure to get a good quality and the citrate version. I take 400mg twice a day. Slow…

Whole Foods brisket from the cooked meat section. Sauteed some spinach in butter. Dinner on the table in under 5!

Nice going everyone!

The Cookie Diet-had to order online, eat the cookies, and one low cal meal (if I'm remembering correctly). The only diet that made my hair fall out. Did lose weight, but of course put it back on right away once stopped eating the cookies.

The only brand I can get here (Hawaii) that doesn't have MSG is Mission. I like them personally either plain or dipped in guac or my new fav: mix some Franks Hot Sauce in Tillamook premium sour cream and dip away!

Good luck, positive thoughts your way. I had the flouracil treatment on the end of my nose a couple of years ago. Thankfully it worked but it was stubborn and it took time. My nose looked awful for a while!

Welcome! Of course, join in. Congrats on those seeing some progress with tweaks. Thank goodness that with age comes (some) patience. Slow downward creep for me also, very slow but I'm ok with it; have settled in to the 1375 calorie level + some exercise calories; 5%, 75%, 20%. Averaging 0.5lb / week, actually less than…

I just got this nifty tape to help with accuracy (it cinches itself to the appropriate point). Healthometer digital tape measure. Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008CENXCS/ref=sr_ph?ie=UTF8&qid=1425404795&sr=1&keywords=health+o+meter+digital+tape+measure $11.63

IW: 167 GW: 145 CW: 160.2 Last official weigh in 162 (2 weeks ago) +/-: -6.8 Slow going but it's trending down.

Here too. :)

It is a really different mind set, so prepare yourself to think differently! Trust the macros (carb goal, fat goal, protein goal).
-
Echo the idea of adding more fat at dinner.

I'm right there with you. I weigh and measure everything, log honestly-try to scan most things in or at least confirm the nutrition info on MFP if I use that, have cut out all except perhaps 1 glass of wine or drink a week (in no carb mixer). Carbs are except on very rare occasion (maybe 1-2 times in 8 weeks) less than 25…

I'm imagining you could do the same with the little mini bell peppers sold in a bag, especially if you don't want the heat.
-
4-5 days a week I have 1/4 to 1/2 a cup of berries with heavy cream; heaven. I didn't do this until I was 6 weeks into LCHF.
