Mmmm, my favorite part of a recipe like that is peeling that cooked cheese off the foil, yummmmmmm.

You're welcome. Not sure about your weather (?Wisconsin-probably cold), but they do get a bit melty in warm weather. I throw them in a baggie and into a cooler when I'm out and about in the heat here.

I listed the ingredients in the order on the wrapper so I'm guessing that is correlated to most to least quantity. I hear ya on the affordability.

Welcome Sheri! Thanks for sharing your experiences.

You're welcome!

You're safe to say it here but watch out for posting on some threads even here on the safe LCHF/Keto boards. There are a few who are firmly entrenched in the calories don't matter based on their own experience.

most days around 1375 as target but some days are higher; allow up to 1/2 of exercise calories as additional but don't require it. Last week has been: 1353, 1381, 1729, 1350, 1418, 1934, 1445

Nothing's weird if it is what you need and it works for you. Are you hitting your macros for fat? If not, butter on!

Happy Dance...the scale is def moving downward after my 2 weeks of limiting calories within a LCHF framework. Down the last 3 mornings, average 1 pound loss over the last 10 days.

Hi Kristy, you shouldn't be hungry on this WOE so yes go spoon a TBSP of fat! :) Seriously, for a few weeks, I'd just get used to the macros (I do approx 5% carbs, aim for net of 20g; 75% fat and 20% protein) and eat so that you're not hungry. Get a bunch of friends and look at their diaries for meal inspiration. Top…

Nice going everyone! Last week was 162.0 for me

Wow, brutal. I've always felt welcome here until now. I'm not insisting on anything nor arguing (go back and reread). I'm just adding a different perspective for others who might be out there like me. No worries, I'll definitley avoid your threads going forward.

Sounds like you're doing fine! Welcome. For me, I had to start paying attention to calories. Was just not losing after 6 weeks of careful adherence. Just back from a long family trip and scale looks to be edging down slightly after 2 weeks of limiting the calories. Make sure you are weighing and measuring food carefully;…

I think for a lot of people (younger, male, significantly overweight...), not counting calories will work on LCHF. For me it hasn't so I'm tracking and limiting, although targeting the correct macros within calories. I don't believe in CICO per se, but I'm over 50, menopausal, and victim of many diets. I don't have a lot…

Echo the over 50, female sentiment...I did 6 weeks of LCHF with not worrying about the calories. After the initial water loss, did not lose any more. I wasn't stuffed but I wasn't hungry. And I was measuring and weighing food precisely. Two weeks ago decided to monitor calories and limit to 1375-1600 depending on activity,…

I doubt (unless you are remarkably obese, which doesn't seem the case, or you exercise 8 hours a day) that you can have a real 7lb loss...the scale may go down that much but my guess is it would come back by at least half when you go back to your normal WOE. Not to discourage you but just keeping it real.

Maybe try taking the carrots and low carb yogurt out of your snacks and just having the more fat oriented items; save the carbs for your "meals". See if that helps the hungries or eliminates the need for later snacking.

That's really good!!

Double your water intake for a day or so. Until you get regulated and figure out which foods keep you regular, try some sugar free metamucil.

I know you know this but the original reading could have been a fluke (poor position, too tight a cuff, too loose.....) and the subsequent elevations stress induced. Can you try some meditation/visualization prior to checking again?

It took about 7 weeks to adjust but I now have my BPC around 8am, a small something, maybe a boiled egg around lunch and then a decent size meal at dinner. Not hungry ever.

Yes, that,.

salmon, sour cream, and dill-yum; serve over salad or with cucumber/celery dippers.

I also take the Now Brand off amazon, 200 in am, 200 at bedtime

Good topic, thanks for starting. I've been LCHF-Keto since Jan 1 and have had the same experience as you with regards to calories. I dropped 3 pounds early on, water mostly I'm sure, and then bounced up and down 1-2 pounds but never below -3.2 pounds from start. Lost about 1.25 inches off waist, but nowhere else. I'm…
