Food filled the hole I felt after a lot of bad crap from growing up and the low self esteem I've always had. Now, I'm afraid of getting too big and having medical issues, and not passing my PT test in the military. I have about 45 pound of pure fat to lose.

I'm looking too! I am back on my third attempt at losing the weight. I LOVE to encourage people and be encouraged as well. MFP is a better support system for me than my family and friends because none of them are dieting or have the same issues as me. Geek power! :tongue:

Air Force Reserves, but work on full time orders. Work in Intel. LOVE it. Messed my ankle up again while running for a PT test and spent a year in physcial therapy. Gained a TON of weight. You and I are in the same boat! I just hit a size 12 and went home and cried when I couldn't fit in size 10 pants at the store. I'm looking to be a 6/8 by the fall as well, and I carry all my weight in my hips/thighs! I don't like to cook, so I purchase a lot of ready to eat stuff, like prepackaged salads and protein bars.…

I have a terrible time with emotional eating as well. I ate three pieces of pizza on Sunday because I was so upset and then didn't eat anything else all day. It was so bad! That was a huge slipup for me, but I have been doing much better with my emotional eating! I keep rice cakes on hand, the white cheddar cheese kind.…
