I would think your metabolism would go up though by exercising regularly so the drop during exercise would be almost moot ... of course, I'm no expert so I could be totally wrong. :-)

I have several pairs of adidas techfit shorts and cw-x running tights...love them I'll never run in regular shorts again...period.

I'm a huge fan of the Adidas Adizero line and Newton running shoes...they are awesome! Although they do take an adjustment period.

I just think that it is more accurate to figure how active you are during day without exercise then figure in your exercise. Very Active can encompass a wide variety of activities that burn different amount of calories. Personally, I work in education although I'm not as active as I'd like to be I do walk around the school…

Also the way MyFitnessPal works this out by how active you are at work...for example, that classify active as an individual spending a good part of the day doing some physical activity (e.g. waitress, mailman). It works activity into your BMR but not the exercise you engage in.

That's true that you would need to eat more calories if you are more active at your job during the week but it is not account for an actual work out you do outside of this. I may be on my feet all day at work and thus burn more calories during the day because of this but that number isn't taking into account a 9 mile run…

I don't think you exercise calories are built into those numbers ... that is just taking away x-amount of calories from what is needed to maintain your weight ... exercise calories are separate from those numbers ... at least that's been my experience.

Here is how I did it. I started running and when I got worn out I walked a little bit until I felt good enough to run again - I started this with 2 miles (1 mile out from my house then back). Eventually I got to where I could do it without stopping, then I began to increase my mileage to three miles...four miles...etc.…

How accurate do you think MFP is with tracking exercise ... I always wonder that with my running.

You won't technically have extra skin - you will still have the same amount. From what I've read (believe me I'm no expert) skin is alive and will shrink back eventually to fit your new figure ... although this could take as much as up to 2 years from what I've read.
