  • Well the sex was always great, but I think feeling better about myself and how I look naked makes it better. Lingerie is certainly more fun to wear!!
  • Thanks everyone for your comments! I never thought it was possible for me to do a 5K, I'm definitely not a runner! I didn't even run during high school! I'm not sure if I'll continue training after this race is over, I really do prefer walking! :-)
  • You know, I was thinking that I'll have to really concentrate to not go too fast and stick to my pace. I'm very competitive by nature and I could see me pushing too hard and then fizzling out at the half way point.
  • If Momma aint happy, nobody is happy!! After my two kids my breasts weren't deflated, they were large but incredibly saggy so I had breast reduction done. That was nearly 15 years ago and they still look great. Even after losing over 50lbs this year, they're still sittng right where they should be!

  • or cheetos or Mrs. Vickies salt and vinegar chips or french fries or a bottle of wine or cake Damn....now I'm hungry
  • Depends on the time of the month! I usually try to ignore it and it usually goes away but if it's persistent then I save calories to have it. Sometimes you just have to have chicken balls and rice!
  • We built a bar in our backyard...uhm...so yes, drinking and dieting has definitely been an issue for me! I actively avoid drinks during the week and try to keep it to only one day on the weekend, but sometimes it slips into two. I leave room in my calories for them whenever possible and if I go over then I cut from my…
  • I actually didn't give up anything in particular, I just ate certain things less frequently. Like pasta and rice. If I do have them it's just a small portion. Sometimes I'll swap things like potatoes for cauliflower. It's an easy substitution and if you take cauliflower and saute it thinly sliced with onion and garlic it's…
  • Sorry, I don't have an answer as I too have a saggy belly. I'm pretty much at goal weight but I still have what I call front butt :blushing: I thought maybe if I try to lose another 5lbs it may go down a bit more. Unfortunately even when I was a teenager I always had a little pooch and that is where I tend to store fat,…
  • I think it's a mental thing. I've lost weight and regained it many times over the years and the reasons for ending up heavier than where I started are the following: 1. When I over eat and see that I've put on weight I get disgusted with myself and I stop getting on the scale because it depresses me. So monitoring the…
  • If you're really committed to losing weight then you will find a way to handle everything that's thrown at you because there is always going to be people offering you food you don't want, parties that you have to attend and you need to arm yourself with ways to cope with this because that is the reality of life. If you…
  • I've pretty much given up on having good weigh ins during PMS week and the week of. I try not to stress out too much about it. It is what it is! :-)
  • I'm not running for time, I'm running for distance. Actually I was hoping I'd have the endurance to run (not run walk) a 5K by a race the first week in October, but now I know it's going to be impossible when I feel the way I feel at a walk run pace. I don't think I'm running too fast, I'm running with a friend and we can…
  • today was a shorter run of 3.6k and it was manageable, just a small amount of chest congestion. I never experienced any of these symptoms when I walked, and I always walked at a pace that almost had me running, even doing hills. Maybe it's exercise induced asthma?
  • It took at least 15lbs, maybe a bit more. I tend to lose all over when I lose weight so my pants and bras didn't fit any different for quite some time. Other people didn't notice I'd lost weight until I lost 20-25lbs.
  • My must have lists includes almond milk, light rye bread, greek yogurt, snap peas, baby carrots, single serve oatmeal, apples and cauliflower. Those are my go too foods, then I mix it up with different fruits and veggies that are in season and whatever meats are in season. Oh...and popcorn. That's my main night time snack.…
  • I'm not necessarily a boredom eater but I have discovered that when I sit down to read a book I tend to want to snack at the same time...weird I know. I could sit and watch TV and not have the same reaction, it's only when I'm reading. I always have a big glass of water beside me now and if I do reach for a snack it's…
  • I'm getting up at 5:30am right now to train for a 5K....I can't even imagine putting food in my belly at that hour! I have no idea if it's right or wrong! :-)
  • I always consider it a win when I maintain in the summer. I just have way too much fun on the weekends!! The past couple weeks I've managed to lose a little but I've recently started training for a 5k and I also through in a couple fasting days (600 cals) to counterbalance the higher calorie weekends.
  • I like to have my snacks at night too so I actually make 8pm one of my "meals" for the day. I skip breakfast, I'm a coffee drinker, I eat 400 cals at lunch, around 500 cals for dinner and then I have 300 cals to play with for snack.
  • That's awesome! Now you need to post a pic with a great big smile because you've done an amazing job!
  • I've gained and lost the same 40-50lbs countless time. It always comes down to my eating habits. I love to eat, I hate to move. As soon as I lose the weight and get to goal and think I look FANTASTIC I slowly let my guard down and start increasing my qty. a little bit here and there. As the scale creeps up I think no…
  • I found that on average I only lost 4-5lbs a month. I think it depends entirely on how much you have to lose. When I first started on MFP I was losing 1/1/2-2lbs a week but as I lost weight and got closer to goal I only lost 1/2-1lbs a week. At the one year mark I was down 52lbs...so that averages out to 1lbs a week. Now…
  • Getting ready for a wedding is stressful enough without adding a crash diet to it. I would suggest you get the dress altered asap. At the very least call the seamstress to find out how quickly the dress can be altered. If you wait until the last minute you're going to be *kitten* out of luck. Why do that to yourself? Just…
  • When you filled in for MFP and put in your current weight and that you wanted to lose 2lbs a week how many calories did MFP suggest you eat? I would just go with that number to start with. That's what I did. If you find yourself starving and the amount of food isn't enough then you can change the setting to 1lbs a week.…
  • Hi, I've been on a 1200-1400 calorie diet for 17 months now and currently in maintenance mode essentially. Like you, I wanted to create a diet that I could live with and a lifestyle I could maintain in the long term,. I focused all my efforts towards counting and measuring and really sticking to the 1200 calories, but what…
  • I started at 182-183 in March 2013, I've used MFP and walked three times a week and I'm currently bouncing between 130-134lbs. I really want to see 129 but can't seem to behave on weekends...too much alcohol! But if I can get through summer maintaining then I consider that a win! I just started a training program to train…
  • I'm using an app (not the couch to 5K), I think it's lolo easy 5k. I'm on week 3 and I'm running 1min walking 1min and I'm at a distance of almost 2 miles (3.2 klm). By the end of week 7 I will be able to run walk a 5k. I'm not sure what happens next. I guess I change the intervals to run 2 min with 30 sec. of walking?…
