My initial reaction: eat. If you're shaky and hungry then that is a sign from your body. It's saying you're not adequately nourishing it. When I first started on MFP I was eating too little and often hungry. Weight loss does not mean you have to be hungry all the time.

I love to look at all those graphs and things on my phone. I also like to think about how the one or two days a week when I'm over my calorie goal doesn't make too much of a difference on my overall weekly goal.

I'd say it depends on whether you like them. If you do then go for it! For me, I don't go nuts for nuts :P. They aren't my favourite thing to eat and don't leave me satisfied so I generally don't eat them. Although sometimes I'll add them to yogurt for breakfast or something.

shake hands (sorry but I'm too young for you :P)

Have a few drinks together :)

I think I already commented about not regretting things that I eat. I try not to demonize food and eat whatever I want. However today I ate some Chinese food for lunch (yummy beef and broccoli). I didn't regret it at the time because it was tasty and fit my calorie goal. However I hadn't had "junk" food in awhile and I've…

Way to go! It sounds like you're making great changes to your lifestyle and feeling good. What a nice NSV :)

It's working for me! I started out at 1200 calories/day like MFP recommended. At first it was great but then my weight loss stalled and I found it too restrictive. For me it was definitely not a lifestyle I could sustain long term. I didn't want a quick fix, I wanted a new lifestyle. So I tried the "EMTWL" philosophy. I…

In my experience this stage will pass. For me it was about 6 or 8 weeks in that my weight loss stalled on 1200/day and my appetite returned. I started using the TDEE method then. Is it really because you're not hungry or are you telling yourself you shouldn't be eating. When you first start out it's hard to think of…

I'd say listen to your body. If you feel up to it then try. If not, take the rest your body is telling you it needs. Try not to stress too much about it.

Keep up the great work! I'm coming up on my first eight months as well, and like you the weight isn't coming off as easily or as quickly but it's all part of the process. Wishing you continued success!

I don't regret eating it because it was so delicious, but I had a giant piece of carrot cake. It was homemade and so yummy. Approximately 575 calories but definitely delicious!

Just keep trying different ones! I personally hate some of the most "common" veggies (onions, cucumber, tomatoes, celery...) but I love things like beets, kale, brussel sprouts, asparagus, artichokes etc. There are vegetables out there that you'll like, you just have to find them and have fun trying them :)

I live off of leftovers. I typically have time to cook dinner at night so I make extra and eat it for lunch the next day and a few other days of the week (alternating with leftovers from another day so I don't eat the same thing constantly). I like to make soups from anything I have in my fridge. It's really easy and a…

My mum went to see a doctor and was told for her age she should get at least 21g of fibre a day. For my age (22) I need to get at least 26 so that is what I aim for.

You can't target where you lose, whether it be through exercise or diet. You just have to eat at a deficit and eventually it will come off. There's no magic food or crunch etc that can cause you to lose in that area.

Before I started losing weight I wouldn't discuss weight loss habits/techniques or people's weight loss. I still don't. I feel it's a common courtesy and I don't want to impose on them/be imposed on. Better just to avoid opening myself up to comments.

I'm 5'1. I started at 178-179 and so far I'm down 29lbs. I use the TDEE method and I love to eat so feel free to add me if you feel the same way :)

Wow! Congrats! I did two sets of 20 seconds of planking today and I thought it was impressive :P

I roasted and ate duck for the first time today. I also tried yoga :)

I don't think it really matters. I prefer to have a small snack before I work out and then my full meal afterward. If I don't have the snack beforehand then I sometimes feel a bit weak (I do an intense hour of cardio) and I like to have my meal afterward in case I'm really hungry.

This is so true! I'm 5'1 and I have to crawl all over everything. Although I do find spatulas helpful. I hook them under whatever it is I need and drag it to a point where I can grab it. It doesn't work all the time but it definitely helps!

Maybe check out your local library? I try to use "common sense". I eat as many veggies as I can ("eat the rainbow" the more colours you eat, the more nutrients) and lean proteins, get enough fibre and water. I cook from scratch every day, because I love to cook and get to control what I eat. I try to hit my macro goals…

I stopped halfway through. Too confused to continue.

I have my current goal set at the midpoint in my healthy weight range according to the BMI for my height. I have no idea whether this is a good goal or not but I wanted to give myself something to shoot for. Right now I'm focusing on the journey and not the destination. I may be happy at a number higher or lower than that…

This year for Thanksgiving (I'm Canadian and ours has already passed) I let myself eat up to maintenance on meal days. Or even a little over. I got to eat all the foods I love and only get around the holidays. To me it's worth it. In the grand scheme of things it's only a day or two. I say relax and indulge. You can make…
