There's been a lot of good and bad advice in this thread. Hopefully you listen to the people who are telling you to log accurately. I've been struggling with weight loss lately and it's not because I have hypothyroidism or anything (although if you're concerned about having that then I'd definitely suggest going to see a…

netflix is where you get your research? I don't know about anyone else but my brain turns to mush whenever I watch anything on Netflix. Not exactly the best source for credible research - but great for marathoning crappy shows!

I buy padded sports bras with built in cups - I find them more comfortable and it prevents this sort of thing from happening!

It's definitely possible. You just have to put in the time and effort. I started out at about a 12/14 (I'm not entirely sure because I wore things that were probably too small for me) and now I'm an 8. It's been a slow and at times difficult process but if you keep trying you'll get there :)

What is going on here?

I think whatever exercise you enjoy! For me that's cycling and squats!

Are you having trouble hitting your macros/calorie goals? If not, then I wouldn't worry about it too much if it's a food you enjoy. However I'd find 3 cups of white rice hard to fit into my calories/macros. If you're still concerned I would try portioning it out. Maybe when you cook rice, give yourself a reasonable portion…

Posts something along the lines of: "I've tried everything, I only eat 800 calories a day and I can't lose weight. Help!" Closed diary.

I'm under 150 but still considered overweight... Another is anyone who thinks calories are irrelevant to weight lose.
-
As a rule I try not to drink my calories (since they don't "fill me up"). That being said I occasionally drink coke or something. I like Trop 50, I have some in my fridge right now, because I find it easier to fit into my daily calories (I don't track sugar). I also use milk in my tea everyday. I like club soda too because…

I don't wipe down the actual barbell, and I've never seen anyone else do it either. The signs at my gym just say to wipe down seats, benches etc so that's what I do. Looking at other people's responses has me questioning whether it is proper gym etiquette to do so though :S ETA: Barbells are the only thing I don't wipe…

Ok anything that tastes like "sadness and regret" is junk food. I tried making butternut squash soup the other day and it tasted like rotten baby food... Instantly regretted ingesting it.
-
Obviously you're going to die. Sugar kills and you just ingested it in it's most evilest form!
-
That's what I was thinking. And what is "junk food" anyway?
-
I don't know what "Blue Bell" ice cream is (is it only in the states?) but I like Haagen Dazs :) Another few for me are: -cutting carbs to some arbitrary number [for no medical reason] -"one pound of fat weighs more than one pound of muscle" or anything about gaining muscles while cutting/instead of losing fat I'm gaining…

Confusing "loose" and "lose".

I don't know any guys who have an opinion about girls lifting. Besides if they did have one it's none of their business anyway; what I do with my body is my choice.

Turn "I can't" into "I can"!

Appearance is only part of why I'd be [initially] attracted to someone. Things like their character, values, political opinions (it's important to me), how they treat others, goals/aspirations, if they make me laugh etc are all other factors that I consider to be really important.

fries, cheese curds, gravy (poutine!!!)

Weight loss isn't complicated but it is hard, you have to put in the time and effort. I learnt to be conscious of why I'm eating - is it because I'm hungry, bored, emotional? Actually there is a lot more than that! Eat well. Move daily. Hydrate often. Sleep more. LOVE YOUR BODY! (repeat for life) The main one is:…

What are these bad foods you allude to? Personally I'd say something with cinnamon, celery, cucumbers and tomatoes would be bad... a lot of people would disagree with me (especially since those are all usually considered "clean" foods). Nothing is really truly bad if eaten in moderation.
-
Definitely not bad, and a great source of potassium. If you love them, continue to eat them in moderation :)

I used to love winter. However this year it's just been too bad. Too cold and too much snow. I wouldn't mind the snow if it was a little warmer but regularly being under -20C is wearing on me.
-
I do TDEE -20% so my exercise calories are already accounted for (I eat the same number of calories each day).
-
It's all about baby steps and it looks like things are going well for you. Just because you're trying to lose weight doesn't mean you have to suffer! There will be times when it's easy and others when it's hard, but just keep at it :)
