"Boys in the Boat", absolutely a great read. PNW crew team over comes a tremendous amount to gain the gold in Germany...1936. Incredible read.

I'm a new return. I know that if I had to eat just one thing it would be beef. So I tend towards the Paleo, but I haven't gotten into the formula yet. I have a couple friends on mfp that seem to know nutrition pretty good. Feel free to seek their friendship. The binge eating is part of me; emotional stuff, I am working…

Then I would definitely try Pilates. It makes you feel elongated and works your body in a different many. I am soon to return to Hot Yoga, which did the same for me. My Winter's typically find me at the swimming pool, as they have a gym there and a sauna. I alternate cycling fast and slow. I struggle with thighs and…

Hi, I'm only on the faintest return....so my opinion should not weigh as much. I am attempting small protein and veggie or fruit add mini meals every two hours. Keeps the metabolism revved....I literally feel my body warmer and do Pilates, regularly which this site doesn't give a lot of credence to....but I beg to differ,…

Please add me, same boat...different location.

Hi, I have had 4 reconstructive foot surgeries in the last 2 1/2 years. I most recently starting doing pilates....20 minutes on google search. I love it and it is strengthening my core. I need to add something at some point. But it is a start.

I am restarting my weight loss with mfp. I have roughly 100 lbs to loose. I recently had 4 foot surgeries in the last 2 and 1/2 years. I have a bad knee that should have surgery...but I'm going to enjoy my mobility for a while before I think about having it worked on. Our youngest is 15 years old and then we will be empty…

Hi after a long hiatus, I have returned to my fitness pal. I do need the support. I'm back on the wagon as well and looking for the happy trail to weight loss, through a support group. Thanks for posting, you have made an amazing journey already.

Way to go! Are you talking Susan Powter, Insanity?
-
I know a neighbor of mine and she lost 70 lbs on it, I was doing it this Spring and dropped off, lots of things going on this Spring...ran out of shake supplies...my bad. But you can quite quickly lose weight and eat quite a large amount of food. So it works for the compulsive eater types.

Right on and thanks so much:)

Good morning, you've got this, I just started back as well.

Wowzer and just in time for your husbands birthday, enjoy every "you look fantastic moment":)
-
Wow, wow and wow. You have done an amazing job. Very Happy For You:) Give yourself a big ol' hug:)
-
Suzanne Powters step arobics, don't need alot more than a 6" step, DVD player and 45 min. Great work-out!

I put on a huge Brunch Birthday party for my mother-in-law, worked my hinny off, finally joining my husband at the table, my mother-in-law swooped in, told me she was littler and would fit better in such a crowded table. Then after I totally left the room, she heckled she didn't mean anything personal about my size.

Great job, proud of you. I'm in it for the long run and you are an inspiration. Thank you, job well done!
-
Same happened to me, it was tough, I vented, you all cheered me on and finally-down again. If you can focus on the process, that and my husband told me he thought my shape was changing, kept me from feeling virtually insane. Keep it steady:)
-
Brought calves in the corral, through the mud...45 min or so:)
-
Kay, this is just what I needed, great idea! I lost 723 calories doing 45 min of Susan Powters' step aerobics:) I feel good, na na na na na na na na and I knew that I would now, nanananananna:) NOw to play catch up with the rest of my day!

Count me in and yes this is where I too take a mental holiday. So I'm going to do Suzanne's step arobic workout DVD this am.

Sometimes a person gets so focused on a goal that you lose sight of the real you. The one you, the one who is a good friend, wife and or mother or daughter. So it is good to be good to yourself by taking a soaker bath, doing your toes or fingernails and especially nurturing yourself, not scrutinizing or evaluating your…

Me too! so glad you wrote, as I have not logged my weight, just caloric intake. uuhhg!

That is beautiful thanks for sharing. My son has a nebuelizer as well, he is eleven and had RSV as an infant. He now has asthma and we are just beginning antigen shots. How wonderful your son has you as a role model of health and determination!

I am hooked on Susan Powters' workout and stretch and messaging in her videos. They are low impact and yet effective. You know your body, research many and trade videos to see if you like them. Just go any where any thing for 30 minutes. Wishing you the best. tm

Wow, great attribute to your personal constitution. You are one strong lady, I am proud of you, and happy that at such a young age you have found what you need to stay balanced:) Your story is an inspiration, as I begin my will to lose...again, and pray that I keep my balance:) Thanks for sharing, your final ten is a…
